Great fair and honest review Crow! I agree that they slightly dropped the ball in terms of modernizing v2 Storm Shadow for the Classified line. They tried to use actual realistic type of japanese ninja armor( the side padding connected to the pouches) design. If a ninja or samurai were to dual wield katanas ( simple pronunciation is ka- taw-na ) they would have a sword on each side. Not both on the same side. Only thing I liked from yours and others reviews of this figure is how poseable he is. Which is why I got him on pre order. I hope they will release a retro version.
I love the Retro look but I'm not as hung up on it like so many people are, we got the best versions of all the Joe's in the 25th and after. Classified needs to be a reminder of that but not be exactly what we've already got before. I don't think every figure needs to be redone in Retro card. The toy aisle is just sad everything is junk or stuff I bought 25 years ago. Collecting can't stay in the past I want new stuff to buy and look and play with. Like monster force that line is a chefs kiss, jadas street fighter line amazing and it hasn't ever been on the shelves before.
I sort of agree and disagree, I think this is a great V2 Storm Shadow as it works as a modern interpretation of that version, and it leaves room for a Retro carded version to make that very unique on it's own and be the V2 that we want without feeling like just a repaint. The fact is for a healthy selling line is having room to rerelease popular characters like this and having both versions doesn't handcuff the Classified line into doing straight 1 to 1 versions of the classic figures, but gives room to try things knowing the other version is still possible. Is this exactly the V2 I had in my head? No, but I do like it and there's room in my collection to get both. The original line had 4 Storm Shadows and 5 Snake Eyes so different versions and different costumes for the same character make sense. Just watch out for the red paint on the handles of the katanas because it rubs off like crazy!
Nice, I have to pick him up as I am only collecting the Joes from the 1988 line! Good review CROW!
Its time for another Crusty review marathon! ;; grabs a drink::. I love the Crow Joe art piece in the background! Cool!
That Joe ninja figure set up is bad ass!!

That’s a balancer that is on the bow👍
Thank you!!! Nobody has answered that to me until now, lol.
The silencer/scope looking Doohickey is a weight for counterbalance
Just saw Aaron’s comment. Gee I feel stupid😂

Love this comment! I cannot argue any of this.
Why did they make him look like Kenny from South Park with that hood
