To enter the combination reset each tumbler by turning left until it stops, then start going right while you count the clicks. Stop on your combination number.
To change the combination, there's a round knob on the inside of the door. Pull it out and turn it half a turn. Now you can set your new combination. When you've finished, turn the knob back. TEST THE NEW COMBO AT LEAST THREE TIMES BEFORE CLOSING THE DOOR!
Yes! You have to reset the number by turning left until it stops, then start going right while you count the clicks. If I remember correctly, each wheel has 20 numbers.
I have one similar, it was in the house I bought. We would like to get rid of it. But it is heavy. Do you know how much do they weight? And if we manage to move it, how much could we sell it?
Mine is 70 - 80 kg. Weight depends on safe size. And the price depends on how much a buyer is willing to pay for it. If it's in good conditions, with at least one working key and the combination, I'd expect to sell it for 500 euro, but it could go for 200 or it could just sit there getting dust. If it's restored and nicely painted, I'd sell it for 1000 euro. Good luck.
Bonjour! J'ai un coffre-fort similaire et une clé pour ramasser une combinaison besoin de tourner la clé à chaque fois à gauche ou vous pouvez un peu à droite? Désolé, j'utilise un traducteur.
Hello, I'm not sure I understood your question. You set each disk individually. You go all left to reset it. Then go right to set the number. Each click is a number. No need to go back to zero before setting the next number. Let me know if this is the answer you were looking for.
I ha ve a safe like this that came with my house, same kind of keys and lock. I would like to get it opened but haven't found a technician near me. We are about 50km from toulouse. Do you know of anyone in this area? I don't want to ruin the safe.
Hi, to change the combination you have to rotate 180 degrees the round knob inside of the door. Then you can set your new combination. When you're done, rotate the round knob back. Try the new combination a few times with the door open before closing the door. Hope this makes sense
Hello. You need help from a safe technician, that is familiar with this old safes. He can open it with no damage. Who can help you depends on your location. In what country is the safe located?
@Mydav37 Hello, if I remember correctly, mine has 18 positions per wheel. You can count how many different positions for each wheel, it's very easy. Turn the wheel left until it stops. Turn 20 clicks right. Now go left and count how many clicks it took to get to a stop. I guess 2. Subtract the 2 numbers and you'll get it.
If the door is closed, you need a safe technician to open it. Be sure to call a safe technician and not a generic locksmith. This safe can be opened without any damage by a specialized professional. Good luck!
@@fede_rico hi frederico thank you You mean that there is no limit turning right? That also means there are 18 square 4 combinaisons…..i lost the code unfortunately Any solution to suggest ? Th you
Hi, I checked and can confirm there are 19 position for each wheel. Yes, there are 19x19x19x19 = 130.321 possible combinations. You can turn right indefinitely but after 19 clicks, at the 20th you're back at zero. Going left it stops at zero. A safe technician, that has experience with these safes, can open it without any damage.
Ciao Federico, ho una cassaforte francese da terra con lo stesso tipo di meccanismo, è di mio padre ma non ha più la combinazione purtroppo, conosci qualche tecnico in zona di Milano per poterla aprire senza danni?
Hi, if the safe is open, it's easy. If it's closed you need a qualified safe technician that can find the correct combination, without damaging your safe. Let me know the situation so I can offer more detailed instructions or suggestions.

Hi, if the door is open, it's easy to find out the combination. There are four holes on the door panel, behind the combination lock. You can rotate the combination disks one by one until you see their hole "empty". That's the correct position to open the safe. If the door is closed, you need a professional safe tech, that has experience with these locks. He should be able to find your combination without ruining the safe. No holes needed.
Hi, do you know the combination? If not, you can try all the possible combinations, but it takes a very very long time. I suggest you find a qualified safe technician that can find the correct combination, without damaging your safe. Depending on your location, it may be difficult to find someone familiar with this specific lock. You need someone that works with it and knows what he's doing.

@@fede_rico bonjour monsieur non je ne connais pas la combinaison des 4 roulettes .hélas ma mère est morte brutalement elle ma pas transmis la combinaison.
If you have the key, I suggest you try some combinations that made sense to your mother. For example your birth date, an anniversary or something like that. Start by resetting all the four wheels counterclockwise. Then count the clicks turning clockwise to enter a number in each wheel. Then try the key to see if it turns and open the safe. If you can't open the safe this way, you need a safe technician. I may know someone, depending on your location. Good luck and let me know if you succeed!

Very Cool! I talked to a guy who used to work for Bauche: my safe was made between 1927 and 1950.

yes. when you change the combination, just turn the wheel you want to be zero CCW until it stops, and leave it there. That's the zero.
