*Your enthusiasm for penguins is infectious! These waddling wonders indeed have a way of capturing our hearts with their unique behaviors and endearing antics. Their ability to thrive in harsh conditions serves as a powerful reminder of nature's resilience.*
Those chasing penguins chicks were so adorable and falling off like a little child... Sadly the slow ones will not get the food... As said in the end by the narrator...
*Absolutely, the playful antics of penguin chicks are truly endearing, adding a touch of innocence to the harsh realities of the wild. It's heartbreaking, yet a stark reminder of nature's relentless rules - survival often favors the swift and strong. Narratives like these not only engage us but also inspire a deeper understanding and respect for the intricacies of life in the wild*
At first glance it's a cute race between penguin siblings, but the one who wins will be the one who survives at the end. Kind of tough seeing it in that light. It's a race against death, and the one who loses will be embraced by it. Kind of sad. Much different from emperor penguins who have one child and if the parents die, they can get adopted (even if the parents are still there sometimes...).
Well, don't forget that female emperor penguins who lost their egg or chick will try to steal other penguins' chicks, and if there's lots of thieves the chick can get smothered to death in the struggle.
France s/w "Sparrows" I've noticed something interesting about sparrows and there first brood of young , when they leave the nest and feeding themselves, they also help to feed the second brood of fledglings by taken insects back to the nest. Can't find anything in text about behaviour? Very Interesting though , I know they may have upto 2 to 3 broods a year and now wonder if they only do this when food is plentiful ? Not sure if anyone has also observed this ?
*Yes, the competition for food among penguin siblings is a captivating spectacle. It's a testament to the harsh realities of survival in the wild, where resources are often scarce. These scenarios, while seemingly harsh, are important for developing the skills and resilience needed in the natural world.*
Is that really the norm to run after a parent for food? Or only in 2 chicks family? Hesitant or reluctant attitude of the parent too looks strange. Anybody watched a full episode?
No both the chick's are hers but they can only bring one of them up and ghe parents don't want to put energy into the weaker chick so it's a test. The mothers run and the biggest strongest chick gets fed and the other loses out and starves to death. It's nature's way of the strongest gens being past down
I remember my Dad once bought me to the penguin exhibit. Its the one memory I can't shake because I actually got to go inside and see them up close. Unfortunately I got separated from my parents and I'm told my memories are all synapses from schizophrenia. From the peach rings he would sneak me to my mom's engagement ring, I'm told its all a lie and that I'm crazy.
Race for food, Race for survival - Not much difference between animal & human lives. 😊
I’m not surviving I’m living (thank God) There’s definitely a difference.
@@thewinusa Yes dear 😊

Beeing 3 days out for fishing.
Then bringing 1 fish back :D
Yeah ,the greedy sods stuffed their faces while out at sea and bring back just one fish for the kids to fight over😅
Strategy
The last message it's so true, this is wildlife 😢
Antarctica is on the top of my bucket list to visit before I die or it melts.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but each pair of penguins only have one egg one chick. Mother’s trying to out run the ones that aren’t her’s !

@@davidmellish3295 thank you 😊
Not sure about other types of penguin but you're probably thinking of Emperor penguins - they do only have one chick :)
my favorite animal :D
Пионеры родителя гоняют 😁
So beautiful
Curious, why is the mum penguin running away from her babies knowing that they're hungry? 🤔
The adults only raise one chick, so it’s a competition to see who is the fittest chick. Sadly, the chick who ran out of steam will soon die.
why is there no snow in antarctica - even if it's summer there,,,
This is hilarious! The pursuit ❤
The ice beauty thats the title you need to put💓🥹
People please enjoy this time that there are pinguïns on ice 😢😮
looks like my kids and i

Whether or not you're right, that is...really sad. I don't know much about schizoprenia, but I wish you the best.

Penguins will soon become extinct and then we all
How is it that the two young penguins are siblings. Don't they only have one chicken at a time?
Anyone?
These are Adelie penguins and they lay 2 eggs instead of one
