Long time supporter here. Can't believe you guys made a video so close to home. I used to hang out there all the time with my buddies and do paranormal investigations. Grandpa used to work there when it was open. I have a lot of information and stories about the place if you guys would ever want to have me on. So much tragedy went on here and you can definitely feel the intensity being inside.
We've told stories from all over Appalachia, from Pennsylvania and Ohio down to Alabama and Georgia, but West Virginia is one of our favorite places to visit. If we revisit this story, we'll put it on our to-do list to get in touch with you!
My great great Grandfather's wife was committed there back in the late 1800's. I've not been able to find out why, but she died there. I was able to find a copy of her death certificate which said she had a broken leg and something else which I don't remember. Neither of which were reasons for a person to die. I hate to think she might have fallen victim to the overcrowding or the labotomies.
I know, a young lady that was sexually abused by her father and stepbrother so she had anger about this. her in institution and shock treatment in the early 80s in the late 70s. This was terrible.

This place is really haunted. Need to take a ghost tour. There are ghosts in there I experienced one myself. The little boy and his ball

Today’s America does not realize the horrifying things that were done to to people in the early days
Today's America doesn't recognize the terrible things it is doing here and now.
