he was written off after the KO (no shame) but he's had the best defensive game at MW for awhile and his style appears to present the blueprint for beating a technical counter striker like izzy. he took away all his weapons with that dynamic guard, deflections at boxing range, chaotic hand traffic, and staying elusive at distance (which no one else has been able to do while also taking the fight to izzy). he nullified the calf kick with enough effective checks it stopped coming altogether, and he didn't fall for the overplayed jab head kick izzy was desperately telegraphing.. +no tik toks or nail extension show, very beautiful to watch, thank you champ.
