Everyone in the comments: we know Wano is under rainwater. Its called a thematic connection - media literacy! That's why Randy is such an oracle for this show. Getting caught in minutiae won't help you solve One Piece!
The point is that they felt the need to escape and leave Old Wano behind! Why??? Likely the same reasons and building the borders caused a flood anyway, irony!
Not only biblical, flood myths exist in almost every culture around the world it's insane. And up until now Oda has shown to be a 100% Ancient myths/theories/civilizatios fanatic, One Piece if you look closer is deeply imbeed in all the theory that exist about our own world and what we were thousands of years ago. I love this manga so much, as it is a mirror of what possibly happen in our own history.
I find it crazy that scientists are willing to beleive global floods once happened on Venus or Mars, which currently have little to no liquid water but the Earth is covered 70% by liquid water and yet the idea of a global flood is a fairy tale or myth? A lot of geological formations in our world could be easily explained by a World Flood. Maybe they just don't want to admit that ancient myths might be right about this event.
So it's possible that Zunesha's crime was to carry Zou on her back saving the entire country/island from the great flood so they punished her by making her walk for all eternity.
Just happen to read it somewhere but there is a theory that roger created the greatest pirate era so that people will make ships for the great flood unknowingly. If Roger said that there will be a flood worldwide like vegapunk did, no one would believe him since he is a pirate.
I’m watching your “OP Theories” playlist in random order and I seriously thought this was a review of the recent Vegapunk reveal until I saw that this was posted almost a year ago! Incredibly savage!
Old Wano is submerged under rain water. The walls though might have been built to protect themselves against the flood, and in retaliation a certain tool attracting rain clouds might have been invented to finally deal with them. Also the earthquakes and tsunamis happened 6 days after Lulusia got wiped out, so I'm still on the fence if that's what caused it. It having no epicenter might be a clue. What causes earthquakes and flood without an epicenter? A magnetic pole shift. Food for thoughts.
Dude, clearly the earth quake was the result of blasting lulusia, and the epicenter is lulusia, most people just can't tell where the epicenter was as they don't have the resources to search for it and the earthquake was too large of a scale that you can't really pinpoint the exact direction.
@@Travelling_Heart15 You don't know any more than I do, and I haven't shown certainty in what I said. Can you explain to me the 6 day delay for the earthquake to happen? Why would Oda write it "The epicenter was impossible to pinpoint making it a most anomalous seismic event" if the answer is they didn't have the means to figure it out?
@@SogonD.Zunatsu how is it possible to pin point the epicenter when they don't have the means to do it, they are experiencing earthquake and being flooded at the same time? Hence impossible, in WG has the resources to investigate, hence only they know where the epicenter is.
Personally I don’t mind missing out on the fights and how they resolved things. Ultimately Luffy is stupid powerful and I’d much rather follow the fights going on around the world than gear 5 vs a seraphim. It’s an issue I had with Wano too because there were so many characters and sequences that needed to be resolved but the stakes and tension just weren’t there. I might be a hater but honestly I’m happy he skipped a chunk (I’m sure we’ll get bits and pieces in a flash back)
Ever since st Saturn showed up I know the stuff on egghead with York was small potatoes. Did anyone have a doubt that the crew would be able to beat York? I like that Oda cut out the middle part
A theory I knew since fishman island, but its great that one piece has finally ventured this far into the story, to where many readers can gain a much greater context now. In fact i mentioned that it relates to Alaxandeer key's novel in some way. Anyone that serously at this point, thinks that "Thriller bark shadows" knock-up stream and 500 year old bridge, won't be relevent anymore, then i don't know what to say anymore.
It fits very well with my "Great Cleansing = Biblical Flood" Theory, here me out: 1) The chapter were God flooded the world is called Genesis, like the Book Ivankov is holding and Utas Song 2) In the Bible they God made that because Mankind has sinned, but afterwards he made a promise to never flood again (Joyboys promise?) 3) When there is a flood, all ppl would drown especially all devil fruits and the power would come back to the only landmass that exist: The Red Line 4) Makes sense if you think about DFs are very rare outside of the GL, which means that happened before 5) many races prepared for a flood: zuneshas height, wano, even Alabasta has a Water 7 type look! 6) if theres a flood the most precious thing would be dirt... to plant food to eat... which will turn into this holy material called "Vearth" 7) PPL from the sky once fled into the sky, and tehy promised tehy will come bakc to the surface, teh fairy vearth... but by time the legend changed to the moon 8) as a nice extra we have several hints to teh bible in op, luffy with jesus like events, 10 ppl who follow him, bibles, nuns, crosses, fallen angels, false and real gods Thanks Randy for giving this a new spotlight! Regarding motherflame/motherframe. Steven the oficial translator statet in his podcast, that several oficial sources including THE MAN HIMSELF told him it's to be Motherflame. Just wanted to tell you Randy.
Tbh I had mixed feelings about the last panel only when I read it, but afterwards I started to think and realized this arc is not about that drama and tension. We've always known they would have to take back the control of the Seraphim otherwise everyone would be stone forever. And I never took York seriously as a threat so I didn't wanna see the Strawhats have trouble dealing with her. No, Oda has just made it clear that this arc and the Egghead incident that shook the world are about the Strawhats getting a massive W, and I'm here for it.
Ya know, there are a lot of things that have pointed to in One Piece that the “old world” use to look very geographically different. Water 7 building over the centuries on top of itself… and Old Wano below the newer Wano… and now the Enies Lobby and Lulusia connection. Even when you think about Impel Down, how did they build this prison underwater water? What if originally it wasn’t? Makes the Red Line being the only continent and the way it just circles the globe just seem not natural or as though there was way more of it before.
My Theory: One piece is a ship called Laugh Tale It is a ship from other dimension that if bring out to the world will cause poblem to the world order cause it's from other dimension. Or it is a ship that can save people from the great flood and the key for it to work are the nika devil fruit. The reason Gold D. Roger said they reach it too soon cause the great flood didn't happened in their time which is the ship is not needed.
Totally agree, Randy. I'll take it a step further. It's pretty ridiculous that we spent 5 to 10 chapters setting up stuff just for oda to decide to skip it and flash forward. Even if we flash back, there's no tension now. Plus, we moved away from those scenes even longer. It's also whack to go on break for 6 weeks. Come back and then immediately break again. Oda has taken more breaks this year than the last 10 combined.
I agree that skipping it all probably hasn’t been the best decision. But I fully support him taking breaks, no matter how many that will be. We all know he‘‘s a workaholic, so if he takes some time off from the manga to undergo surgery, work on the live action to make sure they stay faithful to the source material or just spend some time with his family that‘s great in my book
I dont think York posed a long term threat and we could maybe handle 5 more chapters max of that storyline. When we got to egghead the threat was not york it was the government and someone potentially working with them. I don't feel like much has been lost
i just remembered the ship from the fishman island arc The Noah and since its known in real life as the ship that sailed the flooded world maybe thats the reason it exists in one piece
Could it be that god valley used to be where enies lobby is now? That’s the only other island that ‘just vanished’ off the map. Maybe that area was a tactically significant place for that Emu wanted to own and when they did take it they erased god valley from history with the mother frame.
My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. It's great to see at least the people of Foosha Village's reaction to the news on Luffy. Now I want to know if we'll see any other characters'? Such as the Grand Fleet, and Hancock's. 2. Assuming the giant hole from where Lulusia was has something to do with how Enies Lobby got its own, then doesn't this confirm that the "Mother Flame" is actually a modern attempt at a power source for what could be the Ancient Weapon that Dragon, Sabo & Ivankov were talking about! 3. I am a little bit disappointed to see that the Strawhats & their allies were able to take care York without any further assistance. However, I do hope the very next chapter will give us some better details on it! 4. Since the SH are now aware of the fact that Saturn is also coming to Egghead, will Jinbe, Robin, Vegapunk, and/or Lucci try to tell Luffy to NOT take Elder so lightly since he is absolutely nothing like Charlos or any other Celestial Dragons they've encountered in the past!?
Even if there isn't a literal mechanical pump, there really has to be something down there facilitating the cycling of water from somewhere underneath the sea floor back up to the surface. How else was the sea level stable for so many years when Enies Lobby is a giant drain operating 24/7?
One thing I've been thinking about that hints towards massive flooding is that there's sections of the New World ocean that are shallow enough for Zunesha and St Juan Wolf to just walk across. Like they're tall but that's honestly pretty shallow compared to the depths you have to go to get to Fishman Island. Also just the amount of islands without volcanoes/aren't in an archipelago.
For me, the government has Uranus, a massive railgun. The Mother Flame can be the fuel for only one use of Uranus, like a charged battery. Enel destroyed his home island with the power of electricity. He tried to do the same thing again on Skypiea. El thor, the god punishment, leave a hole (small scale of what would happen). Many paralels for how a weapon can be made to destroy an island. It is an eletromagnetic weapon for sure.
I wonder if the core to the planet contains a crap ton of water. More than regular worlds for whatever reasons. I like to think the planet is manmade. The ancient weapons are not actually weapons but terraraforming tools or something. Maybe the planet is a reactor, ship or Dyson Sphere. But it has so much water inside the core or under the mantle or something. And the ancient weapon that shoots a bean down causes like a void it creates like an void of space that disperses the water deep down. That is what causes the water level to raise and the great cleansing requires a ton of this energy to be shot down to flood the world up the the height of the red line. Something along these lines? I bet most of what I said is wrong but it may open some thoughts and theories from some of you. So let me know what you think. Most of what I said was not my own theory I borrowed and combined theories but some of this is my own take that I've not heard anyone else say yet.
Talking about ancient weapons, is it possible that Vegapunk cooking "future"/"modern" weapon equal to the ancient kingdom. It could really help revolutionary to overthrow celestial dragon
Man that ending was dope . My man Randy on that stuff . With york talking like she was it was hella cool to see them all chilling like yea we did that . The new VAs make sense. Not everybody keeps their jobs nor do they live though every fight they have as VAs .
I didn't make the Old Wano connection to the great cleansing. It would make poetic sense that a previous Mother Flame attack, maybe where Ennies Lobby is, would cause one of the Ancient kingdom's allies to get flooded.
I think Oda just didn't want to break the tension/pace he'd established with Garp/Koby. How would it break? Because it's most likely an Authority Chip resolution. Vegapunk gets freed, tells the seraphim to step down. Not too exciting. We'll get a flashback I'm guessing that will focus more on getting Vegapunk prime back up to the makeshift control room, just for him to tell the S batch to chill out. Sooo, it's more fun to see the Yonko crew getting ready for the real fight coming.
I think I might know the origins of the mysterious nearby the island of Enies Lobby I believe that Im attack the area that became Enies Lobby is that we know that IMU in ancient times was known as St. Imu of Nerona I believe that IMU destroyed their homeland so that IMU could not have any challengers to the throne and anyone that could succeed him as heirs to the throne. The reason why I say this is that Water 7 is based of Venice and Nerona Im's family name is a reference to Verona another city in Italy.
The Mother Flame is just the name of the power source and not the actual thing that was created. The thing is a replica of an ancient weapon, likely what Pluton is supposed to be!
I walked into my newborn’s room just now and he was watching this video and I was so proud a “damn, son, where’d you find this? played from the heavens
I think I might have just figured out the inciting incident that turned the void Century War in favor of the 20 Kings. Randy Troy comment about the ancient Kingdom creating the whole Ennes Lobby might have been the deciding factor for Lily to join the 20 kingdoms and provide them with the Intel needed to take down Joyboy. Then, once realizing the damage she caused in a moment of guilt and reflection, Lily scrambled to protect the poneglyphs. The last of her dear friend JoyBoys message to the Future
What if the ancient kingdom had a spy/traitor maybe imu or an ancestor that overloaded or activated the mother flame/eternal flame and self destructed the ancient kingdom? Or the ancient kingdom was going to lose/didnt want to kill all 20 kingdoms, refused to fight, blew themselves up, so that the 20 kingdoms couldnt get their hands on the power source and threaten to destroy the world, though they may possess the weapon.
ok thinking about the Island Puller and Fruit theory, so now I'm wondering if the Island Island Fruit, once awakened gives the user power over weather and climate in a restricted area.
Everyone in the comments: we know Wano is under rainwater. Its called a thematic connection - media literacy! That's why Randy is such an oracle for this show.

Look at the tree of ohera! Same damage at the base of the tree that you see in drained swamps!!!
Yoooooo good to be here!!
Fun fact: Oppenheimer didn't actually invent the atomic bomb it was his helper whom learned of it from the alchemist fulcanelli in the 1920s.
Well well well
You're the man Randy!

Hey Randy what was that island you said that flooded you had an idea of?
I mentioned it a little bit later -- long ring long land!
That boy Buddy Coup🔥🔥🔥 watch out
LEGENDARY
ok thinking about the Island Puller and Fruit theory, so now I'm wondering if the Island Island Fruit, once awakened gives the user power over weather and climate in a restricted area.
Do yall think Roger laughed because he saw a map of the whole world before the flooding happened?
The intro was tuff😂🔥
