Honestly I didn't like how the original broke the rythmn when saying identity, but filling the missing syllable with love and using it as a strong one is so clever. It gives a good swing to the song
It's because the way japanese person says english in their accent. So instead of identity. They say Ai-den-ti-ti (pronounce teetee fpr eng spkrs). Same with dangerous, they say it den-ja-ras, and it rhyme with focus because they say focus as Fo-kas.
Great job as always!! Will is literally the only english cover singer that I listen to, he just gives the vocaloid songs such a unique twist. But also can we appreciate David Toth who always does an amazing job with the lyrics? He makes English lyrics that really keeps the essence of the original song's meaning with no awkward breaks in sentences and on top of that lots of lines rhyme?? What is this god tier lyric translation? If I remember correctly, Telecaster-B Boy wasn't translated by David and I almost immediately noticed the difference in lyric style/quality in that song. "You stand upon the circus over the -(break)-The crying the bodies Clapping both the (both the? bad grammar, good space filling) hands you -(break)-Point to scoff then turn around and bid adieu" I listened to the OG version as well and I see some terminologies such as "伽蓝寺" which is an antiquated way of saying Buddhist Temple that originally came from sanskrit is SUPER FCKING hard to translate like I had to go do a search for that term just to get better context for it than my basic knowledge of it meaning "Buddhist Temple". Just translating that to "shrine" was a perfect choice imo since it captures the context/essence of the OG without the listener having to google search the term. I've acknowledged that its really hard to get the perfect translation that fits everything and that's why I think David does a phenomenal job each time because I don't think I've noticed a problem like this with any of the vocaloid songs he's translated.
