    I go fishing in Marco Island every summer when our family goes on vacation. It's nice to see that someone else appreciates Marco just as much as I do!

    They don't even make the rod or the reel anymore. We use Wright & McGill rods and reels now.

    grabbing the lower jaw and supporting the belly with your other hand is preferable. mouth has sandpaper texture.

    Blair,If the snook have Gill Plates that cant cut ya up, Whats the best place to grab them out of the water? Looks like your grabing them under the gills,can I just use the thumb and lower jaw like a big bass? or teeth an issue?

    not too mention the smaller ones taste better! Bigger fish are tougher, more prone to parasites, and have higher mercury levels.
