      He’s using a gimbal as even the active stabilisation is off on most shots. This is decent footage out of this camera, the sensor struggles in low light though (had a ZV1).

    Great Video! I have watched your other ZV-1 videos. Is Mark II better? Do you still use FilmConvert for this one? How did you tweak it this time? I'm always curious about how you colorgrade your videos; it always gives me a nostalgic impression.

      Thank you very much, yea I like the ZV-1 Mark II better. Even though it is the same sensor as the Mark I. The image quality is almost identical. But I personally prefer a wider lens. Yes, I still use FilmConvert to grade it and tweak it to the look that I want 😊

    Based on rumors, the DJI pocket 3 will basically blow this thing out of the water. DJI always gives as much as they can. Sony/Canon love to trickle tiny new features here and there.

    Does Sony ECM-G1 works with it without cable?

    • @dsipictures
      @dsipictures  Рік тому

      The ZV-1 II has a multi interface MI Shoe, so no cable required for ECM-G1 😊

    "As I go travel, I just wanna carry a small camera". Ehm, and a gimbal. And only in daytime, of course. And short of 500$. Wait, just like my last travel!
    Nevertheless, beautiful images, as always...

    Wow your video so good. Btw i just bought this camera last week. Can you recommend what external ND filter that suits for this camera ?

    • @dsipictures
      @dsipictures  Рік тому +1

      Thanks. The NiSi True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano 1-5 Stops Variable ND Filter is pretty good. But it’s not cheap. You will also need a sticky tap to hold the ND adapter 😊

    Thank you for the detailed video and write up! You convinced me to give this a try as a backup camera for holiday.
    I am concerned about your experience with the ND filter not being strong enough though as I live in Los Angeles. Do you think having the aperture stopped all the way down and the ND filter is enough for bright summer days? Or should I look into the external ND filters?

    • @dsipictures
      @dsipictures  Рік тому +2

      Thanks. Yea during the day even with the ND filter turned on. You will still have to stop it down to f/8. Otherwise it would still be too bright. I think external ND is the only solution. You can get the ND filter adapter online. Then stick it in front of the lens 😊

    what gimbal are u using?

    @allwaysanimaze Рік тому

    Did you use RS - mini 3 as your gimbal of choice or just handheld with active IS ON?

    • @dsipictures
      @dsipictures  Рік тому +2

      I used the Zhiyun Crane M2S for this video. As my DJI RS2 Pro is too big. The ZV1 II couldn’t balance it. So I had to use a smaller gimbal. But I think the RS3 Mini should work with this camera 😊

    How do you shoot so wide? What are your export settings because they are unreal!

    • @dsipictures
      @dsipictures  Рік тому +2

      I had the Active IS off in most of the time. So it doesn’t crop in as much. Then I used a gimbal to stabilize. So I was able to keep it the widest of 18mm 😊

      @@dsipictures My old phone does better videos 👍

    • @dsipictures
      @dsipictures  Рік тому

      The original ZV-1 has a 24-70mm lens. But that’s on paper. The 24mm wide end is actually 25.38-69.36mm lens. So if you have the active IS turned on. Your lens would be 29mm to start with. Definitely not wide enough for vlogging. And for the stabilization, phones do use a lot of software processing, and with the wide angle lens. I’m not surprised if u think phone footage looks better. But phone is still a phone. They don’t have the quality like a proper camera. The ZV-1 will still look better but you just need to do more work to make it look good 😊
