How to Keep Birds Cool in Summer: Provide Extra Water.
Giving birds extra water is the best way to help them keep cool in hot weather. You can provide extra water by adding ice cubes to their birdbath a few times a day. You can also add a birdbath to an open area of your yard.
    Add Ice to Bird Baths.
    Provide Good Quality Food.
Move Bird Feeders to the Shade.
    Minimize Pruning.
Add Extra Vents to Bird Houses.

Birds like when they can clearly see the bottom....put a rock or something in it so they can judge the depth. They'll go into it more often.

nice. they seem to prefer the smaller pot to bath in. are the chickens and cat yours?

Not mine, I have only my loving boy Sheru Alaskan Malamute.
Whenever kids leave the gate open then cats and chickens come inside, belongs to my neighbors, chickens do come thru the metal gate, I don't know why they like my front yard.
Yeah, you are right, they enjoyed the smaller pot, but today they were taking bath in the new birdbath.
I put the smaller pots in my backyard and the new one in the front, try to help out the birds, this week the weather is above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks for watching.

@@SidhuDIY thats awesome. Does Sheru enjoy the visitors or just watches from inside? I got a new solar powered pump from ebay and have been playing around with it for the birds making diff types of bird bath. San Jose was 93 today but I'm sure we'll get up there in a few more days

Sheru doesn't like cats and chickens but he is okay with birds, I have seen many times birds are eating his food from his bowl and he just watch them.
San Jose is a perfect place to live and perfect weather Sheru always enjoyed it. I live in San Jose for almost 30 years.
