Before the Games, the Apex card was an invite to the Apex Predator mercenaries who are a super old group, they were the attackers Ash was working for in The Truth cinematic (WATCH THE TRUTH CINEMATIC IT'S SO GOOD), which happened like ~75 years before current Apex day. The Apex Predators were part of the Mercenary Syndicate that won the Outlands Civil War, which then became the main interplanetary government in the Outlands (Outlands is the most remote sub-region of the Frontier where the Titanfall games take place. Outlands alone contain multiple solar systems and inhabited planets). So this is why the state-run Apex Games have such strong ties to some old mercenary group, as their leader (which has been Blisk for over two decades) had the biggest part in creating the whole thing Viper, Valkyrie's father, had a uniquely modified Northstar Titan (afforded by a long successful merc career), as the other Northstars can only hover, while his could fly and maneuver freely for a long-ass time at jet-fighter speeds even. It was too badly damaged by the player during Titanfall 2 (Viper was the most difficult and badass boss in the game, man soloed a fleet of battleships like it was nothing), so what could be salvaged of that Northstar's special VTOL systems was turned into a jetpack as fixing the whole Titan was a no-go. ---There was lore on Apex's Twitter I think, that told the planet Boreas's centuries old myth of the Moth and the Princess properly. As Seer's birth lined up with the myth's prophecy, he superstition on the planet had him outcasted, else he draw them all into the flames as though moths. At least his parents were loving and supportive ---Ashes to Ash visually recounts events from The Truth/Pathfinder's Quest book (this book is like The Bible when it comes to Apex lore), Titanfall 2, Apex's Seasons 5 and 6 stories, and the Twitter comics precluding S11 where Horizon was mistakenly thinking that the Simulacrum Ash was one of Horizon's friends Lillian Peck. See, Simulacrums are human minds copied from dead-or-dying brains, and the trauma inherent to that as well as to their machine nature overall is kept at bay by an Ego Retention Program that alters the Simulacrum's perception and memories to maintain the illusion that they're still human. Horizon thought that Lillian Peck didn't recognize her due to the Ego Retention Program, so Horizon got the unique codes needed to turn it off for Ash specifically. In her freetime the machine side seeks to delete the human side that's preventing her from reaching perfection, as powerful as she already is ---Anita and Jackson AKA Bangalore and Newcastle were there on Planet Gridiron at the final battle of the Frontier War, bigass war that had been fought between the Frontier Militia and the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation/IMC for years across solar systems. The Frontier War was the plot of both Titanfall games. The war featured Elite Soldiers called Combat Pilots on both sides, I suggest the Titanfall 1 Free the Frontier trailer and the Titanfall 2 intro cinematic for a sense of what the best of those guys got up to. Anita and Jackson were in training to become Combat Pilots, but only Jackson graduated into one before the Gridiron battle happened (explains him kicking goon ass in the Hero cinematic). Sadly he wasn't wearing his gear to put up a better fight against the more powerful Pilot trying to get Jackson for having commanded their ship's retreat from the Gridiron battle. But no, not the same guy that stabbed Anita After this battle they traveled for years doing security work in the Outlands (can't go back to their homeplanet, not enough access to special faster-than-light Jump Fuel after the IMC collapsed so the trip would take 20 times longer than it did last time), but on one day their ship got attacked, busted open, and Jackson got thrown out into the upper atmosphere of the planet they were near. He was gone for years, Bangalore searching him, recently she accepted he was dead and was getting ready to do the 20 year trip to Gridiron. But then turns out bro was living the good life with a wife and kids under a new identity... ---Caustic, Fuse, and Maggie are in their 50s, yet all happen to be in the upper tiers of Legend physicality. Guess in Apex's time with all their medical advancements old age won't slow you down nearly as much. Heck, Octane's "dad" (Noir dude in green glasses, surname Silva) is like a 100 years old and only looks about half that though he has that billionaire youth serum ---Pathfinder is 77 years old and was specially custom made for the incredibly hazardous refining process of the Branthium-fuel that Horizon got from the black hole with Ash, he's gone most of his life not remembering this but regained the information during Pathfinder's Quest, which again, is partly shown in The Truth cinematic

My favorite SFTO trailers are definitely those of season 7,12 and 14 (the "Scottish mother" Horizon, the "freedom fighter" Mad Maggie and the "surviving girl" Vantage). Each legend has its own story and the incredible thing is that it meets with the lore of other legends (such as Horizon, the Scottish mother, with Ash / Dr. Reid, the woman who betrayed her by abandoning her in space). If you want, there are other trailers to react to, such as "gameplay trailers" and "meet the legends trailers" . They are mainly about the game, the mechanics and the abilities of the legends, but they are still incredible and very beautiful to see! Watch them if you want! But please... if you do, could you recover in one of these videos also the launch trailer "Hunted" of season 14? It's beautiful, my favorite launch trailer and I'm curious to see your reaction! The Apex story, and the Apex universe is so big. First, you need to know, that the Titanfall games, are part of this universe, the past of the apex games. Second, there is so much lore, that is not in videos. There were story shorts on the apex Twitter, and there are comics, in-game for 9 season now, unveiling new story details every season. the "forge" being killed by revenant was the biggest prank apex pulled, they put the forge in the file's and leaked some subtle info about him. the entire apex community believed he would be the next legend but when the time came for his launch trailer he was killed by revenant and his place was taken by revenant.
Game is in the same universe as titanfall there was an old war and it had Robots and Pilots who controlled the meks it wasn't the same pilot who hurt Bangalore mostly all pilots have all same abilities and You kinda need to know more the father of Valk died too our main character from titanfall 2

"Reid!" -Horizon "Dr. Somers. you should've stayed where i left you." -Ash so Ash was Reid????/
So with the whole Maggie vs fuse thing is that he did indeed betray her. Maggie was a warlord for the planet Salvo, fighting for freedom for her planet. When the planet was essentially sold off to the syndicate she was pissed because they just lost the freedom they’ve been fighting for, and to top it all off, her closest friend was more than okay with their freedoms, rights, and resources being stripped away from their own home just so he can fight in a bigger arena. It’s not just a personal betrayal, but the betrayal to their entire cause and planet, at least to her.
You should read to the explanation of Ash's backstory as it goes in with the game Titanfall 2, and many Seasons of Apex Legends, very deep Lord surrounds Ash's story.
So, a thing that I don't see in the top comments; the scene with Forge and Revenant, Story 4, where it's the interview: Forge was "leaked" as the legend for that season, he had a full kit of abilities, files dedicated to him, all this jazz. And then Rev popped out of nowhere in his trailer, stabbed him through, and suddenly he became the new legend. Another pretty neat detail; in the Gridiron animation, Bangalore - a.k.a. Anita - was an IMC soldier, and the cloaked guy - the pilot - who beat her... That was basically the same as the Player from Titanfall 2, at least in terms of power. Bangalore was nothing more than a generic grunt in a video game; one of the mindless NPCs you guy down en-masse. And she rose up to become something greater. I love that about her story; it's so deceptively meta. But no, the pilot that fights them later in the video isn't the one who injured Bangalore previously; pilots aren't just an IMC thing; they're all over. Basically, a pilot is a highly trained, extremely skilled soldier, kitted out with the best gear and bonded to a Titan.
@@adgmanD I'll say, the story mode isn't very long, meaning it's a pretty solid game to get and enjoy. Remember, Titanfall 1 doesn't have a story mode; it's purely Multiplayer. For a solo experience and a story, you'll want to get Titanfall 2.
Yeah the Apex devs saw that their files kept getting leaked before they released the season and people already knew who was the next legend so they played us into thinking that Forge was the next legend, even had a big Forge teaser in game a few days before the new season came. Only for them to surprise us on the video you saw. We were all shocked lol

In the gridiron story it was a different pilot, but all pilot helmets look similar. The one who stabbed Bangalore in the beginning was an enemy the second at the end was an imc pilot who wanted them dead for treason.
Ash also known as Dr Ashleigh Reid (horizons assistant) is now a simulacrum her human consciousness was uploaded into a robot body and the codes Horizon was reading out gave Ash some of her memories back and shes and woken up her past self and her villainous side is trying to get rid of her😬so she basically has 2 personalities conflicting with each other and they keep glitching with human Ash trying to warn people about robot Ash then robot Ash comes back to the surface pushing human ash back to the back of her mind 😬👍
The IMC is basically a colonization/military company from earth and they came a colonized the outlands with severa other companys, but over the Years they started exploiting colonists a takeing there resources, this resulted in a Massive war between the melitia(colonists) and the IMC. The imc was loseing so they started getting pretty grim with war crimes and unethical experiments, eventually they where mostly forced out of the outlands which then basically became like the wild West except theres still some degree of order, now the syndicate runs a large portion of planets and the games, some indipendent companys and the odd warlord or organization own there own planets ,and some planets are just indipendant or wild, in all there is a sense of order and governance in the outlands but its still abit Savage with criminal activity, small planetary wars between factions or large companys competing for resources
Also octane doesn't show how he lost his legs but he lost it at a Gauntlet run he blew them off with a grenade trynna beat a world record the gauntlet also a Reference from Titanfall 2 Forgot too add Lifeline and Octane grew up same place and they both own a family business kinda A co op thing ones does Armory and other is Pharmacist stuff
If I'm not mistaken, back in season 5 was a Limited Time Mode, PVe where you had to go into different dimension, where Revenant (red ghost) killed everyone and now is the ruler (this dimension connected to Halloween special LTM, called Shadow Royale) where you had to fight Revenants shadow prowlers and collect peace by peace Ash's head, then in the end connect in to her body, that's basically why she has two personalities.

So, a thing that I don't see in the top comments; the scene with Forge and Revenant, Story 4, where it's the interview: Forge was "leaked" as the legend for that season, he had a full kit of abilities, files dedicated to him, all this jazz. And then Rev popped out of nowhere in his trailer, stabbed him through, and suddenly he became the new legend.
Another pretty neat detail; in the Gridiron animation, Bangalore - a.k.a. Anita - was an IMC soldier, and the cloaked guy - the pilot - who beat her... That was basically the same as the Player from Titanfall 2, at least in terms of power. Bangalore was nothing more than a generic grunt in a video game; one of the mindless NPCs you guy down en-masse. And she rose up to become something greater. I love that about her story; it's so deceptively meta. But no, the pilot that fights them later in the video isn't the one who injured Bangalore previously; pilots aren't just an IMC thing; they're all over. Basically, a pilot is a highly trained, extremely skilled soldier, kitted out with the best gear and bonded to a Titan.

I'll say, the story mode isn't very long, meaning it's a pretty solid game to get and enjoy. Remember, Titanfall 1 doesn't have a story mode; it's purely Multiplayer. For a solo experience and a story, you'll want to get Titanfall 2.
Yeah the Apex devs saw that their files kept getting leaked before they released the season and people already knew who was the next legend so they played us into thinking that Forge was the next legend, even had a big Forge teaser in game a few days before the new season came. Only for them to surprise us on the video you saw. We were all shocked lol

In the gridiron story it was a different pilot, but all pilot helmets look similar. The one who stabbed Bangalore in the beginning was an enemy the second at the end was an imc pilot who wanted them dead for treason.
Ash also known as Dr Ashleigh Reid (horizons assistant) is now a simulacrum her human consciousness was uploaded into a robot body and the codes Horizon was reading out gave Ash some of her memories back and shes and woken up her past self and her villainous side is trying to get rid of her😬so she basically has 2 personalities conflicting with each other and they keep glitching with human Ash trying to warn people about robot Ash then robot Ash comes back to the surface pushing human ash back to the back of her mind 😬👍

The IMC is basically a colonization/military company from earth and they came a colonized the outlands with severa other companys, but over the Years they started exploiting colonists a takeing there resources, this resulted in a Massive war between the melitia(colonists) and the IMC. The imc was loseing so they started getting pretty grim with war crimes and unethical experiments, eventually they where mostly forced out of the outlands which then basically became like the wild West except theres still some degree of order, now the syndicate runs a large portion of planets and the games, some indipendent companys and the odd warlord or organization own there own planets ,and some planets are just indipendant or wild, in all there is a sense of order and governance in the outlands but its still abit Savage with criminal activity, small planetary wars between factions or large companys competing for resources

If I'm not mistaken, back in season 5 was a Limited Time Mode, PVe where you had to go into different dimension, where Revenant (red ghost) killed everyone and now is the ruler (this dimension connected to Halloween special LTM, called Shadow Royale) where you had to fight Revenants shadow prowlers and collect peace by peace Ash's head, then in the end connect in to her body, that's basically why she has two personalities.
