The only way to get the boots from Truman is to get on the mailing list or check the site regularly. And with the sale of 20% going right now they keep going out of stock right now. During the sale they also just do restocks and nothing new coming out and soon they will probably start bringing out new stuff in the new year.
Good morning Aaron! Drinking coffee and watching a new Revive Shoe Repair vid, good stuff. Those Trumans are stunning! Congrats! I just ordered a pair in Java Waxed through their MTO program and although my Stone Ramblers are 10d with a thin sock I ordered these in 10.5d. We seem to wear similar sizes so it was interesting to know that you got the GS Brass boot in a 9.5d? I keep looking at the Brass in Waxy Commander but have not pulled the trigger yet but will keep a note of the sizing info. Anyway Happy New Year to you and yours! Carry on.
Great taste my friend!! 🤝🤩 you know I love my GS & Truman boots. I have become a Parkhurst brand fan too. Me recuerdo cuando le recomendé estas 2 marcas de botas y le gustaron mucho, que bueno hermano!
Hey Aaron. Your Boots are Amazing, I personally like the GS Boots. Thanks for the review. Aaron I just want to say that I very much appreciated all the videos you put out in 2024. You do some of the Best work I've seen on UA-cam. Your welt work and stitching is Top Tier🥇. I hope for nothing but The Best of Blessings to come upon You, Your Family & Your Business in 2025. Stay Up🙏🏽. Robert,
Side by size they look about the same length. Crazy they are a full size different. I’m trying to figure out what size to order the brass boot as people say “1/2 down from brannock”, while Grant Stone’s site says “1/2 down from average sneaker size”.
@EDHBlvd well I can only speak from personal experience with about 10 pairs from grant Stone and two from Truman. Both work well half size down from brannock
I like the looks of my Truman's in brown double shot but was disappointed that they're a bit tight, even when I completed their measuring guide. I'd like to get one more pair before they close shop/change their business model. Grant Stone has been on my radar for a while but the only thing (other than cost) is that I like some of the leathers but not a fan of the hardware. Still there's a pair of Diesels out there in my future.
Aaron, damn..bro a was debating on those saddle tans..iI guess its back to skipping lunches and doing and working saturdays to feed the addiction.. 😂😂 Happy New Years .and keep up the good work.
Felicitaciones por tus nuevas botas. Las Truman están guapísimas. ¡Feliz Navidad! Hermano un fuerte abrazo para ti y todos tus seres queridos. 💯🐐👏🏻👏🏻🍾🥂🙏🏻
I have 9 pairs of GS's boots and my most recent pickup was the Brass Boots in black cxl with the wedge sole just like these. I think GS's are the best boots for under $600. Much better quality than Alden that's for sure although I still want a pair of Alden Indy's just to say I have a pair. Funny thing is that I just bought a pair of the Maduro Shell Diesel's for under $700 and a pair of Indy's in navy suede on Taylor Stitch is over $700 and GS's are built better and look better. I wasn't a big fan of the Brass boots out of the box but they have grown on me since they're now broken in and now I like them a lot, to be honest. They are definitely one of the most comfy boots that I own but I wished they were better looking. On a side note, I had to go 1.5 sizes down from brannock to be able to wear them comfortably. If I went with my regular size in the Leo last then they would be too long and I don't like that. I'm a 10D brannock fwiw. Edit: I am the same way. I like the split reverse welts but I have a pair of Dark Olive CXL Edwards and a pair of Loden suede Diesel's with the flat welt. I didn't pay attention to that when I bought those two boots but my other GS boots have a split reverse welt. I don't really like the storm welts although they are similar to the split reverse welt. Anyways... I'm glad you like the Brass boots. They are nicely built. Also, I started a subreddit called r/grantstoneboots that's 2 months away from being 2yo and we have over 3100 active members. Please come and join us there if that's your thing. Also, anyone interested in GS is welcome to come join us in that subreddit!
I HAVE THE BRASS BOOT IN WAXY COMMANDER MINE HAVE A DIFFERENT WELT, I LOVE GRANT STONE BUT HERE IN THE UK I HAVE TO PAY IMPORT TAX WICH MAKES THEM EXPENSIVE. GREAT VIDEOS THANKS.
I have Red Wing, Truman, White's, Grant Stone, Nick's and Viberg's. Probably like my Truman's and Viberg's the best. I have 8 pair ofTruman. Probably 35 pair in the collection. I have this pair of Nbr 8 you have, still in the box. I have a pair from Truman in Stag. Pretty supple. Try if you can...
Very beautiful leathers.
They both look great.
Truman boots are always sold out. So frustrating...
There’s a rumor that he’s going to close shop
@Dukeofmamucas then why is Truman taking pre orders for Java Wax Flesh with a 8 to 12 week finish time?
@@Dukeofmamucas i heard he's selling the boots division and moving to cheaper work boots?
@ they’re rumors .

The Grant Stone brass boots are very nice. I have a pair of their Reverse Snuff Kudu field boots and I love them.
You should replace the welt with a storm welt and soles on the Grant Stone but leave the Truman's as they are for now.

It is half down from brannock for the brass boot. Pretty simple to size Grant Stone boots, shouldnt be a problem if you go by the above rule.
@ so simple that is not the recommendation from their own site…

I would love to add a pair of Grant Stone Brass boots, and Diesel Boots too! Those Truman in #8 are stunning!
Last pairs of the year, right?
I have two pairs of Grant stone boots. They're heavy man. My Alden jumper boot is so light. Sometimes I want to sell them but I go back and forth
