Lori, first off let me just say how thankful I am that I found your channel a few years back. I didn’t really spend much time on UA-cam, but then I had to have open heart surgery, so I was sitting more. I starting watching you and Mr. Brown. Y’all were like old neighbors that I once had. Really good cooking and recipes, but more important, I could tell y’all loved Jesus, and lived it out. What encouragement y’all bring to so many, and at such a time as this, for sure. We are here, at this time in history, according to the Lord’s time table. He has a purpose.✝️ Excited to try this recipe. Love toffee. Thank you my sweet sister in Christ. Have a beautiful weekend.❤️🍁🍂
Thank you for praying for all of us. It's a scary time. I know the Lord will carry us. You have helped so many learn things that we will all need to know. You and Mr.Brown are so appreciated. I pray the Lord will bless and keep you both safe through whatever is ahead.
Our recipe is 1 cup of salted butter and 1 cup of sugar. Cook it in a heavy saucepan (we usually use a pressure cooker without the cover)until its turning brown pour out onto a foil covered cookie sheet put chocolate, Hershey bars or chips right on the hot candy sprinkle some chopped nuts on it as soon as it's melted.

Amen dear lady! The good Lord knows the end from the beginning and has filled the Bible with promises of His faithfulness and steadfast love. I am looking forward very much to meeting you one day when we are all home at last! Much love to you both.
The easiest Butter Toffee recipe that I have seen Ms. Lori. I will definitely be trying this one. Maybe this weekend. Put it up for the holidays. Thank you for sharing. May you and yours have a blessed day...Mr. Brown.
Oh ya! Toffee is a favorite here at Christmas. I usually do a variety of candies and cookies every year. My family has surely been spoiled for years. I believe everyone needs to be spoiled occasionally, especially in these trying times. Patience, love and prayer is what we all need every day. Sending love and blessing your way❣
Loved this video Lori! When you choked up at the end while encouraging us...I choked up with you! You are right...The Lord is our strength and salvation! He will bring us through! Gonna try this recipe! I'm not much of a candy maker but this looks doable for me!
I used to make this recipe, but a few years ago I started making " Christmas Crack" which is made with saltine crackers. So much easier and we absolutely love it. You'd never know the crackers are in there. My family prefers it and its so easy!
It’s funny how many versions there are of this. But yes we do the saltines and we do graham crackers too. I’ve done pretzels but the toffee doesn’t soak into the pretzels like it does the crackers and I just don’t like it near as well.
I just found your channel and I just have to say, you just make me feel so safe and secure. I am a Christian but what you said at the end, "it's all going to be alright"... ahhh... that was just beautiful and I felt that. Thank you! And I can't wait to try some of your recipes. They look amazing!

You've just given me a reason to buy a candy thermometer! I've always used the soft ball and hard ball stage method by dropping in water but half the time, I fail at that. 😂 Your candy looks delicious!

Miss Lori wondering if you have heard or made "Hookie Pookie"? It's a honey comb treat similar to toffie. I've unsuccessfully have made it following the recipe to a tee :) my problem is the baking soda 1tbsp right at the end, removing from heat n pouring to set up. It breaks up nice but taste like baking soda. Why? I've made more than several batches trying different times with the baking soda. I would love to watch you make it. TIA
Amen sweet Mrs Lori, Amen! God Bless you and Mr Brown and thank you for your wonderful videos! I enjoy watching them so much and look forward to more on holiday treats and candies.
I cried with you Ms Lori, I have never personally lived in times like we find ourselves in, dealing with devastating tragedy's and loss plus what's going on in the world begins to feel like its to much to carry on. God is good, no matter where you find yourself God is good, if you're at a place where you just don't know where to step next, feeling like there is just no where to go, please do what I've had to do, just be still and know that He is God. Thank you and God Bless , this channel and both of you guys Mr Brown / Ms Lori are both blessings to us all ..
Your kitchen is beautiful, right down to you and your apron I love the color scheme with all the little pops of color in the scene. Thanks for explaining the tempering; I hadn't got round to researching that yet. I've only just started making candy.
Hi Ms Lori. You are a comfort to me. When I was a kid it wasn't a very good situation. I was neglected and almost died at least three different times. One of those times when they found me they gave me a 2% chance of survival. My memories are dark and sad. So when I watch you and you talk about family I like to pretend I grew up with a family that cared. You are a light in the darkness. Thank you love, Mia
I always make goodies for my neighbor at Christmas. He broke his tibia on Christmas Eve so I’ve been making dinners and goodies for him and his wife. I made them your banana bread and they loved it. I made me a small one with the left overs and I’m going to make French toast like you. I just love seeing you and your calmness. I’m going through trials right now but I turned all my worries over to God. He’s my rock. God Bless you two and I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve got some catching up to do. Lol
Oh yum, yum! I love toffee....made me want to run out at almost 11pm and get a Heath Bar! It's a pleasure to watch you. You are very sweet and kind hearted. Thank you for sharing with us! God bless!!💗

I have to tell you I made your recipe for Crock Pot Gnocchi Soup and it was DELICIOUS! That will be a recipe I will use often. Thank you so much.

I have been looking for a toffee recipe to use to make Christmas gifts this year! I have found it!
I think 300 degrees is hard crack stage to create a nice snap. I think I would try Heath bar bits on top. Nice recipe, thank you!
Oh boy, yes that does look good. Are you doing a series of Christmas candy and treats? There are so many Christmas treats that I have no idea how people make and that would be awesome! Thank you Lori and I hope you and Mr. Brown have a Blessed holiday season!
I have actually been incredibly busy the last couple of months so sadly I had not watched as many of your videos as I usually do. I scrolled back through your video list and I see you’ve actually been making a LOT of yummy treats, so I’ll be going back and watching those!

Hi Lori, you are such an inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes. May God bless you, Mr. Brown and your family. 🌹❤️💙 🙏🙏🙏🙏
God bless you dear lady! I love watching you cook all those wonderful dishes, I find it & your gentle spirit so comforting.
Hi miss Lori, I usually make this every year, so can't wait to try your recipe! I've never tempered the chocolate before so excited to try that as well! Thank you, just love all that you and Mr Brown do!
Just love everything you make and all your stories thank you Ms Lori 🙏❤️
I saw the thumbnail and thought maybe this was that toffee made with saltines but wow, this is the real stuff! There's no way I could be trusted with making this so early before Christmas, haha. Thank you, Lori, for sharing your recipe.
Nope, I sure can't make this recipe this far out from Christmas!! 🤣😂
I made this for my sweet neighbor kids and had bunch left. So I'm so full of toffee now!
I know, right!? It wouldn't last until Christmas or make it into a gift tray. Lol
Sweet lady, easy to listen to!
Amen, may The Lord continue to bless you and your family!!!
I wish she lived close by me!!
That looks so good, Mrs. Lori! Hope you have a blessed day!
I just dropped in by UA-cam suggestion. Toffee is one of my absolute faves. I admit I teared up at the end. You have such a loving positive spirit and I thank you for your sweet video. Ms. Lori, you have a new subscriber. God bless you.
That looks amazing can't wait to make it 😋
Thank you for this delicious looking candy, and yes praying everyday.
You've just given me a reason to buy a candy thermometer! I've always used the soft ball and hard ball stage method by dropping in water but half the time, I fail at that. 😂 Your candy looks delicious!
Watching y'all dance, I fell in love. God bless you and yours.
Thank you so much ! Thank you for your prayers we all need them in these dark times 🙏💙
Ms Lori , it is so comforting to hear you tell us it's going to be ok , yes I believe it will too ! I just try to live like the Lord tells me in the Bible I love you and Danny been enjoying y'alls videos for a long time !! May God bless you much !!!! Alice - here in Glendale , Az. 🐦
You are so sweet! Thank you for being you…Great recipes and a good friend! 🙏❤️
I just love ya'll! Love the country way of life. You two remind me of my aunt and uncle from years ago on the farm. God bless ya'll and keep the videos coming.
TIA
we call it yum yum, yes I need to make it
Love you too! Thank you for the uplifting words for our Lord, and for the delicious recipe.
Another great receipe ms Lori
Wonderful.
Amen sweet Mrs Lori, Amen! God Bless you and Mr Brown and thank you for your wonderful videos! I enjoy watching them so much and look forward to more on holiday treats and candies.
I really need a word bigger and even more meaningful than thank you to offer you and Mr. Brown. ♥️
Oh, Miss Lori, I so enjoy your channel! I found you thru Canuary 2023! I’m here to stay. Thank you…..
Thank you
I cried with you Ms Lori, I have never personally lived in times like we find ourselves in, dealing with devastating tragedy's and loss plus what's going on in the world begins to feel like its to much to carry on. God is good, no matter where you find yourself God is good, if you're at a place where you just don't know where to step next, feeling like there is just no where to go, please do what I've had to do,
just be still and know that He is God. Thank you and God Bless , this channel and both of you guys Mr Brown / Ms Lori are both blessings to us all ..
❤❤❤encouragement is one of the best gifts you can give.
A favorite candy of mine, you make it look easy. Miss Lorie I add my prayers to yours, I too know everything is going to be alright! We are loved! ❤🙏❤
Ms. Lori, I love Buttercrunch toffee candy, I love watching you cook hugs n love and many blessings to you two
Your kitchen is beautiful, right down to you and your apron I love the color scheme with all the little pops of color in the scene. Thanks for explaining the tempering; I hadn't got round to researching that yet. I've only just started making candy.
Thank you so much!
A lovely way to end your video: the sweetness of the candy and the sweetness of your blessing. God bless you too, dear lady! 🙏🏻
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BLESSED LIFE YOU HAVE!!
YOUR PLACE IS SUCH A WONDERFUL PLEASE TO LIVE!!
STRESS FREE!!
I am in Fort Smith Arkansas and just discovered your channel tonight! Thank you for the positive messages from the Lord and this delicious recipe!
Thank you
I always make goodies for my neighbor at Christmas. Lol
God Bless you and keep you, xoxoxo
