I’m a big boxing fan, but things have to change to get one belt and one champion. The fact that the best fighters don’t have to fight each other to become champion. This isn’t just a problem at heavyweight, it’s pretty much all weight classes
So true mate, they get a belt look around and think to themselves screw this I'll milk nobody's for easy cash.
It's another area where the UFC put boxing to shame.
I’m a big boxing fan but you don’t seem to understand that if there was one belt. Boxing would be way more corrupt.
@@mycommentwilltriggeryou9810 corruption in boxing is a problem, but it’s one that get’s found out and removed in this day and age. Having one champion would mean that the best fight the best, even getting a chance to fight for a world title would be a big achievement. And that would massively benefit the fans, but also growing the audience and then a bigger purse going to the fighters for making the big fights.
@@mycommentwilltriggeryou9810 Lou Duva, Gil Clancy, and Al Certo all preferred 50s era where there was one champion even though corruption was rampant. Corruption will always be apart of boxing, but to claim we shouldn't have one champion due to it is ludicrous. Especially when with four titles we just have four corrupt entities.
If he retires, great for Tyson. He’s doing it while on top.
If he fights the winner of AJ v usyk, that’s great too. But either way, he’s been a real fun, solid champ/person. Cheers Tyson.
I don’t think it’s our place to say he’s making a mistake retiring, he’s doing it for personal reasons after all. I can understand why someone would want that break after non stop working and fighting.
Yeah can’t be easy being a pro fighter at the highest level, a lot of health risks. Us armchair critics don’t know what it’s like
Spot on pal I'd love the fury vs Joshua fight just to see fury beat him but if he retires then fair enough he's proved last couple years or so he's number 1 anyway for me
But do you remember what happened to him last time he retired boxing, went into major depression? People have a right to worry about what happens to him cos of the past, if he does want to retire then no problem but let's hope he doesn't end up like he used to be
exactly his still a legend
@@D-A-A- hes not gonna be sitting at home but i think he wants to go into differnet ventures like exibitions and he even said he wants to do movies so i think hell be ok

Whyte’s demeanor was just so disappointing it was just clear he was lackluster still think Fury would’ve won regardless but as someone who think he deserved a title shot for awhile it was frustrating to watch
Styles make fights. Whyte is more of a mid range counter puncher rather than a pressure fighter. Fury is all wrong for Whyte.
@@premierleaguegematria468 agreed
I just think Fury is so good that he made Dillian look very average, if he went lunging in he would have got sparked out much earlier. I also love the talk about Whyte's dirty fighting when if you watch it back it was Fury doing it first, even Ngannou picked that up.

I don't watch him because it's just so cringe. This is the guy that seriously thought McGregor was going to beat Khabib. 😂
I absolutely agree with everything in this video. Fury is a bunch of contradiction. You can’t suddenly say you’re the greatest in your era and then duck the great fighters in your era. He needs to fight atleast AJ because we’ve all waited for that fight since forever!
We all know how that would go lmao. Aj hasn’t been the same since the first time he lost the belt against Ruiz.

I think he's getting out now because he's scared of losing. He knows that Usyk is a genuine threat, with his skill level. Usyk has a great chance of negating Fury's big size advantage and Fury knows this. It's a very tough fight from a tactical perspective, rather than a danger of KO. The last time Fury faced a small, fairly-quick Cruiserweight, Steve Cunningham put him on his backside for a brief count. Fury did recover to bludgeon Cunningham to defeat but Usyk's different gravy. It's sad that the "best fighters" aren't trying hard enough to face each other. Spence-Crawford are guilty too.
Tyson fury is twice the size of usyk I like usyk to but come Tyson very slick and punches harder and is 6’9 270 plus look at the haye vs klitschko fight to see what size does to a heavyweight does to a cruiser weight.
@@BlackWolf-el3gu Twice the size but was dropped by Cunningham, who was a far worse Cruiserweight and Heavyweight than Usyk. Styles make fights and Fury's looked good because he's up against opponents with little to no boxing ability. If we're being honest, the last good boxer Fury faced was a 39-year old Wladimir Klitschko. Wilder was just a puncher, never a real boxer. Dillian Whyte a worthy contender who deserved his shot but Usyk's a different animal. If Usyk's such an easy fight for Fury, he'd have agreed to it by now. The Joshua rematch would be on the backburner.
@@BlackWolf-el3gu usyk would spank Haye no comparison and there is a reason why fury never mentions him
Everything about Ngannou being dangerous is true, but Ngannou has no stamina and definitely wouldn’t in boxing. Tyson would just tire him out for 3 rounds, then its easy game to be honest.
I think it would be a first round KO for Tyson, I can see Francis wading in with an immediate and predictable hard right haymaker, which will hit nothing but air - and the counter will stagger him setting up a fierce one-two and then uppercut. First round win for Tyson easy money.
Franny better hope he wants to give us a show for longer than it will really take.
If it’s ufc gloves then it could go either way cos Francis is dangerous
Stamina this idiot said 👏 🙄 when did he have that problem
Absolutely but this is like a personal favour to Francis. This will be a huge payday especially if the UFC is involved in the promotion. If I were Francis I’m going in with everything in the first round and I’m not getting up once put on the ground. ££££
Depends on the rules. They may allow slight grappling, which is basically giving the fighters a rest when they're holding on to each other.
He’s doing a ‘floyd mayweather’. Bring out the big bucks if you want to see him box again.
yh but floyd had 20+ title defences
He was offered the big bucks to fight AJ but he ducked the fight by tying himself up in contracts to fight bums and rematch the most unskilled heavyweight ever. This is why boxing sucks because their is more reward in not taking fights and padding your record than taking risks and the big fights.
This man never had any interest in fighting the likes of AJ and Usyk because he likes to cherry pick easy fights.
You will know instantly if he's thinking of really retiring as I said before it depends on whether he relinquishes the titles if he doesn't then you know he's not retiring it's not rocket science
He’ll just wait till they strip him
Totally agree with everything you say. Three boxing matches a year, and clean up. He could leave them all unscathed if he took them seriously. Would need a come back or two with the best afterwards to be considered amongst the best ever. At the very least aj and usyk needs to be dealt with. He’s got it in him I reckon. Silk sheets tho.
I think he values his undefeated record very high and he thinks he has done enough to slip away as one of the greatest without risking his record against usyk or joshua
idk why tho, cus he beats the both of them easily

I AGREE !! He spoke of the emptiness he felt inside after Klitschko & being away from the sport & its healthy routines with training. What about future decades when he will look back at how he walked away as a Lineal Champ in his prime with only ~2 wins away from elevating his legacy & inarguably cementing his place amongst the very best in history? Big mistake if he's really serious about retirement (which he prob isn't lol). He can only add to what he has already achieved.

@@Ukman-england yeah he is the best of this era with very little doubt. I still think he should fight the winner of Joshua Vs usyk 2 before hanging it up to be undoubtedly the best of this era in my opinion but even that's not exactly an amazing achievement considering the state of the heavyweight division especially when compared to other era's.
@@Ukman-england I agree with you. since his comeback he beat 2 or 3 complete nobodies which made sense since it's his return so that's reasonable and then the fights the same overrated bum 3 times in a row (corrupt or terrible judges in the first fight) who's best win is over a 40+ year old luiz Ortiz. Indeed, Larry Holmes was 48 and 0 at one point. Just one win away from Rocky Marciano's record.

Surely there must be a reason why AJ and Whyte fought Usky and Fury the way they did. I'm not convinced that they would've done any better if they had tried to brawl with them as everyone says they should've done
Retiring with only 2 title defences and without fighting 2 of the top HW’s in AJ & Usyk is crazy, I think he beats AJ & Usyk but he still has plenty to show
He hasn’t retired ffs lol

Bruh you think tyson is serious? He has said he finna retire atleast 5 times before this.
Yep
He isn't retiring. He just knows his worth. And by saying he is retired it will just get better offers. The proof will be when the period to defend/vacate the WBC belt ends. If he vacates it. It will devalue any potential fight. As said here. Just a genius market ploy.
I agree with pretty much everything you said here. As a Fury fan I have little to no interest in seeing the Ngannou fight when there's the opportunity to fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship. That's the only thing Tyson has left to achieve in his career and it will be the first time in 22+ years there will be an undisputed heavyweight champ in boxing.
I respect him for making this fight he seen ngannou and his contract problems and wanted to give him and amazing pay day
On top of that it’s not like Francis isn’t a dangerous dude all it takes is one lucky punch
@@HereForMma that just makes it an even sillier fight to take, imagine Fury gets KO'd cold by Ngannou how much of a setback it would be for him, and then he'd probably have to try to get a rematch just to save face. it would be a huge embarrassment and for what gain? choosing a silly novelty fight over the undisputed heavyweight championship?
If Ngannou will give 100% of himself as you are saying he will be gasping for air after 2 rounds. I think Ngannou will play it safe and smart and we will see a boring fight
I think ngannou will come out like a caged animal, because you can't be patient with someone like Tyson fury he will destroy you.
Geordies right. I think Tyson easily beats AJ and probably beats Usyk due to his size. But if he doesn't take those fights there will always be those question marks hanging over him.
Can't see AJ beating Usyk tho.
They said the same thing when Mike Tyson had to face Buster. Than he faced Buster and you know what happened.
No imagine if Mike Tyson said he was too good to fight Buster and decided to just "retire". There would have been a question mark.
I hear ya but no questions marks. Fury wins.
I doubt we have seen the last of Fury. He will fight the winner of AJ vs Usyk.
Just my opinion but I would bet money on it happening.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior Nobody said that when Mike Tyson faced Buster Douglas.
@@jaispartacus They did. They literally did. Buster Douglas was a massive underdog in that fight and fans did not take him seriously. They forgot that this is heavyweight boxing and anything can happen, just like you are forgetting now.
If AJ does by some miracle beat Usyk you can guarantee when they ask him who do you want next he'll come out with the classic "you'll have to ask my team about that. You know me, I'll fight anyone"
very unfair that. aj has arguably the best resume in the division. he's never lined up bums like tom schwarz and otto wallin like fury did whilst claiming to be the greatest. aj has fought top 10 guys when he didn't need to. he was desperate trying to make the wilder fight, even offered wilder tens of millions but wilder refused and went for fury thinking he'd be an easier fight.
@@ronoccc Instead he lined up bums like Martin, Breazeale and Takam
@@Lee-ye3ev shows how much you know. Martin was the belt holder, wasn’t ‘lined up’. He had to fight him for the title. Brazele fought wilder long after AJ demolished him, the same wilder fury fans like to label as the second best HW. Takam was a last minute stand in after the original fighter pulled out and was tough as nails and would kill Tom Schwarz
I’ve never heard AJ speak his personal on things. Usually just clichés. He had a fire in him at the early stages. Don’t feel that these days. I don’t sense his desire. His hunger. His okay with losing.
@@ronoccc he's never fought wilder too
Have a good day guys hope everyone is doing well
If you look at Fury's fights and who gave him the most trouble, those were smaller/lighter guys with speed and preferably southpaws. Cunningham was small and fast, Wallin was about as fast as Fury and southpaw, Wilder was relatively fast too.
Stylistically, Usyk is a nightmare for him. Doesn't mena Fury would lose but Joshua would be a much easier task than Usyk and perhaps he just waits and hopes Joshua wins.
Absolutely... People will say, Cunningham was 10 years ago and Fury is a different fighter now but completely ignoring the fact that Usyk is light-years ahead of Cunningham... It's a hell of a fight and no walk in the park like these Fury fans that seem to think .. I have to either imagine that they have never watched an Usyk fight or don't know what they're watching
Mate they’re already comparing fury to Ali 🤣🤣🤣
I couldn’t have said this better myself. I don’t want to say it because I give all fighters credit, especially Fury, but I really hope this retirement thing isn’t just a ploy to wait for the AJ v Usyk winner and decide then whether you’re really retired or not.
Shhhh. If the fight happens I’m gonna make some money down the betting shop 😂
Which is why prime Mike Tyson would likely beat Fury despite everyone saying he's too big. Styles make fights.
Did Geordie mention he thought it would be easy for Fury
It’s obvious his playing it very safe and the team has strongly advised him step down now and not fight AJ or usyke .
Very well said
It’s mad how many times Dillian “swang” and hit thin air there 🤦🏻♂️
If Usyk goes on a tear and destroys everyone then there will be a huge asterisk near Fury's name when the "GOAT" conversation is being had and people will always remember Usyk over Fury simply because Usyk fought everyone and Fury didn't. I absolutely love Fury, but he's not had a very tough fight since Klitschko. Usyk is the only guy the world can see giving Fury a problem so it won't be forgotten is Usyk continues to dominate.
Great comment! And people like to forget two things; First of all, Klitschko was 39 and clearly shopworn. It was a far easier fight than it would've been 5 years previously. Secondly, Deontay Wilder is vastly overrated. The man has a great right hand but one look at his resume tells us that he'd not beaten one great fighter before he stepped in the ring with Fury. Luis Ortiz was already 40 and past his prime. So, Fury's beaten Chisora twice, an old Klitschko, Wilder and Dillian Whyte. Not much of a resume when compared with the greats of the past. Rocky Marciano was heavily criticized for his opponents after winning the title from Jersey Joe Walcott, in 1952. Likewise, Sonny Liston and, later on, George Foreman, were both slammed for not facing the best contenders during their brief title reigns. Even Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield were picked on for their title defences. So, why should Fury get away with it?
Watching this fight made me respect and appreciate Wilder alot more , he really is the no.2 heavyweight on the planet .
When Wilder lost and made excuses
Dillian laughed at him more than anyone else, he sowed no respect
And said he would ko Fury .
Well karma kicked his ass good and proper .
Dillians fight against Tyson was boring and lackluster . Tyson made it worth watching by knocking him out . After that lame performance he comes out with some lame excuse about getting pushed and his head hitting the mat . 😆
No deontay wilder is number 1 not only number 2🤣🤣

I'm a Tyson Fury fan, and you made some very good points. You had a very intelligent analysis. Consider three fights with Deontay Wilder were very brutal. If the first Wilder fight was outside the USA, Fury would have won. Ali-Frazier three times took much from Ali; and the probably the same with Tyson (versus Wilder). I thought Wilder was the most lethal heavyweight of all time - brutal punching power. In comparing Marciano (I was only 0-3 years old when he was champion), Fury cannot be compared to Marciano because Marciano never fought for 14 years and never fought someone like Wilder three times. There will always be a contender out there; so I am fine with Tyson retiring.' Could Tyson lose to AJ? - Yes. Recommend Tyson not get into a MMA fight though - that is a bad decision.

In what domain? Specify. In an actual fight, not one where you can duck at knee height and get away with it, Ngannou could annihilate him. Kick him at range, destroy his legs, throw him around, 'ground and pound' him unconscious, choke him unconscious.
Duh, it’s a boxing match. Francis would easily win in a cage fight.
Not with UFC gloves he won’t.
Straight talk to the extreme! Love it
Couldn't agree more. It's very disrespectful to the greats... Hell, Forman came back an old man to become Heavyweights champ again... and no matter what anyone thinks. The fact is, Usyks a nightmare matchup for Fury. He might win, but it's gonna be a long night
dunno why but always amuses me to see Sugar at pressers alongside Tyson with his top off 😆
Actually he is the one who is correct, for once someone is going out undefeated, he is GOAT, Ali should have taken that advice instead of getting smashed and ruining the rest of his life
Having great wins is far more impressive than being undefeated against a poor group of fighters
Lol that only counts as greatness for idiots. Ali will live in people's mind until the end of time. You are not the man of you haven't fought the best guy of your time. And fury is a huge guy compared to any of his opponents and still don't fight them? Gtoh.
Ali will be remembered forever he changed boxing, fury will be remembered for a couple years and people will forget. If he wants to cement his legacy as one of the best needs to fight joshua, usyk and other contenders such as Joyce ruiz Parker, if be beats them all there is no doubt he is up there with the best.
Look at Ali’s resume. Look at Lennox Lewis’ resume. Retiring undefeated is trivial it’s about who you’ve beat.
@@mohammedrahman4743 Agree almost completely. I reckon he needs to beat Usyk, Joshua, the two dark horses in Gassiev and Hrgovic, and the Joyce Parker winner, else he’s nothing.
Looking well man keep up the training
True Geordie opinions on AJ are so far off its incredible. Saying he didn't have the courage to go after Usyk but yet when he was he was getting tagged and if he got stopped like he nearly did at the end of the fight you would criticize that as well. He just got beat by the better boxer that night and that's what happens when you fight the best and don't build your record off beating guys 28th ranked in the world as a world champion like Fury!
Perfectly put by Geordie again
I mean it's always like this when someone retires , look at kahbib, everyone now saying Charles could beat him , GSP , they won't leave it alone . It will always be this way
yeah true, people will prolly say Usyk was the man to outbox Fury on points or AJ was the man to finish him
EXACTLY!!!
There always someone else the fans want you to fight it’s how it goes as selfish fans we always want more.
Wythenshawe & proud. The closest thing to Ali - great boxer, great showman & great person. People are flawed, but just like Ali - salt of the earth, mercurial and engaging. I hope AJ beats Usyk (doubt it) but I hope he does so that £250m quid fight with AJ will take place in early 2023. Fury will not only beat him, but show there are levels of difference. Fury is in top 5 heavyweights of all time with Ali, Marciano, Lewis & Mike Tyson, anyone who says different doesn't understand boxing.
I completely agree with you about AJ in the Usyk fight, it was very frustrating to watch because he never quite tried to turn things around really.
Can’t go out beating Whyte, total agreement 🤝
Hearing things from the guy who never fought professionally what the hell is this fam
If Francis knocks out fury the world will stop for 30 seconds.
It should stop forever
Good analysis and critique
Great show
Usyk Is the real deal for him. Faster more cardio Better footwork elusive master of tactic and adaptable. Fury Is bigger and heavier. And nothing else. Smart move
Fury uysk would be a very interesting fight
Fury’s trainers always shirtless too it looks funny af.
This guy hosting should go in the ring as he knows everything about everything
Couldn’t take this fight seriously from the announcement to the bell.
You talk my talk, Subscribed.
Best commentary in Boxing 🥊
I mean it's his choice to retire but it sucks because no one will ever consider him a top heavyweight of all time at this point. And they're right. it's not even close.
Thanks for your expert knowledge on boxing
Tyson Fury > Usyk > Wilder > AJ
This guy was right all along
This is where commenting on everything makes no sense. Boxing is an individual pursuit and getting smacked in the head for our entertainment is not fun. It is up to him really
U spoke the truth 💯 👏
Francis has the Hardest punch ever recorded, wylder ain’t even close lol but Tyson should still win a boxing match and it’d be close, but Tyson in a cage, easiest win Francis ever had.
Excellent analysis
Great analysis 🧐
Out of every former heavyweight you could only name 2 that could hang with Fury, that says a lot!
*Is it just me, or is boxing camera work always HORRENDOUS?*
Tyson went on pires Morgan news thing and said “ I’m done”
Why is it around 8:14 Geordie sounds like they guy who said ‘you never been to a food bank’ 😂
The thing with the Ngranou fight, if Tysson loses, it don't really matter to his boxing career or legacy. If it was in a ring under boxing rules it would be, but it isn't.
I think its to create leverage for purse split discussion for a potential huge undisputed fight
Totally agree man.Tyson is good but to be great he has to fight Usyl/ Joshua. He says he doesn't need fame or money then he should box just for the hell of it much like he wants to against that UFC dude
Undisputed title fight v Usyk absolutely has to be next.
It reminded me of Rocky 2 when Whyte came out south paw.. it did give him a better chance to close the distance, but unless he spent the last 4 months fighting as a lefty he wasted the round as Geordie said..
