I agree that the packaging is usually torn up and it may be due to you and others tossing packages around and pushing them around on the shelf.

Possibly, but more likely, it’s cause the packaging is moved and tossed around from box to box, location to location, and in and out of different temperatures, that I think the box just starts to ware over time.
