    ua-cam.com/video/kjOCEhMR5Pc/v-deo.html This is my latest modification of my screen stretcher based on this device.

    Wow! It worked perfectly 100%. I used an aluminum flat frame with a fast drying super glue to pre-attach the mesh on it. I then turned it outside down unto the original frame and clamped it down using four pieces of 1 inch C-clamps on all the four sides to stretch. So far so good, this is the best , simplest and low budget screen stretching manual device technology I have ever seen from all the DIY screen stretching tutorials. Thanks and I hope you will try it also because you don't have to use the nails to grip the mesh. Just your super glue ,your aluminium or wooden frame, a piece of flat board cut to size and clamps. Thank you for your idea.

    You are not a poor man, you are very rich with technical innovations and ideas. Well I also use 'the nail bar stretcher' at my Art Shop in Ghana. I am going to try this also. I have got an idea from yours, to use an aluminium flat square frame of a required size with fast drying super glue to glue the mesh in place, before I screw or clamp it down to the original frame to obtain the tension by using small G - clamps.Thank you for this idea! Man you are very rich!

    This is brilliant. Well conceived & simple. I am making my own at the moment with a slight variation, rather than holes in the base I'm going to make a groove. I figured that it would work the same but be more forgiving as my nails aren't in very straight lines. Again thanks for your genius idea.

    Wing nuts can also be used in this device, but in so doing, the bolt must be fixed underneath, and it will always be protruding in the frame, hence, it can disturb the operation. It's better to modify a timber knob with bolt and a fixed T-nut underneath for easy tightening, rather than wing nuts which is hard to turn specially on the final stage when there is already a tension on turning the nuts.

    I have been looking at many mesh stretchers....and I like yours. I will have to do some mods to mine as I’m doing screens for my yudu screen printer they are thin metal frames, very thin. But I like what you have come up with! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

    • @ScreenPrintingforFunandProfit
      @ScreenPrintingforFunandProfit  5 років тому

      Thanks Ms. Lynn Houts. My frames are also thin since I am using ply boards ever since. I am making a lot of screen frames coz I am planning to have my own clothing line. I am also assembling the frames on this small table using wood glue and stapler. I am also doing all my screen printing devices being an avid DIYer. Thanks for appreciating my idea. Happy printing!!!

      Just rugby. then I support it with few staple wires. I only remove the screen frame when it is already dry so that there will be no movement on the mesh.

    • @ScreenPrintingforFunandProfit
      @ScreenPrintingforFunandProfit  5 років тому +3

      Sorry, i don't have a device to measure the tension. It however gave me the best tension I have done manually. And the best looking frame i did with the use of adhesive, it gave me even tension all around the perimeter of the frame.

    This is a very cheap innovation which almost cost me nothing except for the M8 knobs I bought online, which I still have to modify since it comes from China with different size and it does not fit our Philippine made M8 bolts.
