i love this arrangement, and the inspiration behind it. Kingdom Hearts is one of my favourite series and one that hits the feels just right, and part of that is the music in the games, and this is like the style of the orchestra that makes me so emotional
My god, that counter melody with the french horns that he mentioned in his more detailed video is an outstanding addition. Just as he said, it wouldn't have worked without the melody having already been introduced, and really adds more flavour to it all. It feels like the piece is built for those few bars, everything leading up to it and followed by a satisfying conclusion. Brilliant arrangement.
I know it's been 2 years but seriously, that part is just so gorgeous. I can perfectly in my mind imagine like a main character running towards their dreams and being so close in that one part. Truly the highlight of the piece (though the very dramatic is a close second) and a very good peak
This actually reminds me a lot of Persona 4's "The Genesis." It's the final boss theme but near the end of the song, it plays an orchestral version of the game's main battle theme as a final hurrah.
Love it! Reminds me a lot of Octopath Traveler - especially the way that individual instruments have moments in the spotlight. It really makes the music come alive, as you say in the analysis video.
This is... gorgeous. I dunno why it’s striking me so hard right now, maybe because I started playing Person 4 for the first time this month and love it so much I’m already 60 hours deep, but man I actually adore this. Good work!
Very professional-sounding, with a heavy dose of emotion to it. The brass work reminds me of Marc Papeghin's masterful playing in Mr. Pez' VGM medleys.
Says _Your Affection_ but sounds like _Hikari._ I won't complain, it's my favourite orchestral piece in video games. It always makes me feel like I'm about to embark on an adventure.
glad you did your arrangement so i didn't have to rip it and post it myself king good shit here, no cap. I'd love to hear more orchestral arrangements or remixes you do in the future, it actually slaps
Like many people before me, I felt incredibly empty when I finished this game. Eversince, listening to the OST has had this bittersweet flavour to it. This arrangement however really translates the feel of playing it for the first time again, magically enough. Anyways, thank you for your work.
This didn’t remind me of Hisaishi at first listen, but I can see where you’re coming from. Shoji Meguro has a huge J-Pop influence in his work, and Hisaishi’s work also drinks a lot from that source (though he also likes to go farther back in the history of Japanese music).
Yeah,k it wasn't the entire score by any means, but there were particular phrases and arrangements of instruments that twigged my brain a little. It's a great arrangement!
At the beginning I thought my earphones were broken, something about this is just not right. It's like he wrote the orchestral piece and then just randomly removed notes. But it gets better though and starts to sound normal. It's like listening to Marklemore's wings, you just want it to get to the "chorus".
@@birbank3522 NO IM SERIOUS, NANAKO IS LITERALLY THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE WHOLE GAME. Seriously, forget romantic dating relationships, I just wanna be Nanako's older brother forever. I just want her to say "Welcome home big bro", and then let me help her with homework. None of these girls hold a CANDLE to how much I LOVE Nanako. ILL FIGHT YOU ON THIS
That’s amazing! But I have to know how you did the score. Is it just a bunch of grand staves with actual music played over it, or is it a composition program that lets you group all strings, brass etc. together into one grand staff? Either way, I’m impressed.
the video of the score looks like sibelius based on that purple line, and the audio is from the recordings he did with other youtubers, though sibelius can also play the score
**Sees Rise thumbnail in the top of subscription feed** A Persona 4 video! Wait, I'm not actually subscribed to anyone who does Persona content. **Sees that the video is from 8-bit Music Theory** He did Persona 4! :D
I wonder if you can check out and review “Racing into the night” by YOASOBI because it’s a masterpiece of a song and I really want to see you review it from a professional standpoint.
Hey 8bit, i've been following you since the beginning. I'm currently a comp major getting my bachelors. Did you compositional voice change as you earned your degree or do you think you returned to how you once were with a better understanding? I'm currently getting ready to orchestrate my first band piece and I just notice that my personal composing style is so vastly different to this. For instance: My piece is doubling notes in multiple choirs which I think will lead to cool colorings while yours is more separated. I want to make it clear that I love your orchestration, I feel like it is more coherent than mine.
I like your videos. I have a unique request/suggestion. Have you ever considered doing the Catherine tracks comparative to their original compositions? For example, Farandole vs the Final Stage of the game?
Idk a ton of music from the Persona games so I'm not familiar with this tune unfortunately. That being said, I think you did a lovely job! This arrangement sounds very professional ^^
Sounds like Your Affection as composed by Yoko Shimomura. I can dig it.
Fun fact: he was inspired by Hikari orchestral arrangement. He explained it was his reference in a video
"Your affection, your affection, **indecipherable sounds**"
One day I know you'll become a fine hero~
@@Crocogator wait... are those really the words?
@@03youdontknowme yup it is
To be exact it's:

got goosebumps throughout the whole song, literally felt like the arrangement was pulled straight out of Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom hearts fans when they go to a concert hall and hear an orchestra
I haven’t watched the new video yet but this sounds absolutely beautiful.
This arrangement is moving. I had to stop what I was doing and focus on the music.
I never knew until this moment that I wanted a Persona Orchestral Arrange album. Great work! (And I'd love to hear more!)
They did have a live concert for the 20th anniversary however all it did was craving more

*"Yosuke Senpai's track"*
It definitely sounds like the theme of a guy trying his best to be a hero to those he cares about.
This actually reminds me a lot of Persona 4's "The Genesis." It's the final boss theme but near the end of the song, it plays an orchestral version of the game's main battle theme as a final hurrah.
People trash on genesis but I unironically like it better than fog
This is incredible! I just started digging into P4G, this track gets my blood pumping on the drop of a dime
playing this game for the first time and this is already one of my favorites on the OST. and this arrangement does it justice
Love it! Reminds me a lot of Octopath Traveler - especially the way that individual instruments have moments in the spotlight. It really makes the music come alive, as you say in the analysis video.
I recently bought Persona 4 to play it for the first time, so I'm excited to be disappointed that this song isn't in there!
Don't worry, you'll probably get the original version of the song stuck in your head for all of eternity either way
This is... gorgeous. I dunno why it’s striking me so hard right now, maybe because I started playing Person 4 for the first time this month and love it so much I’m already 60 hours deep, but man I actually adore this. Good work!

While listening to this I was convinced this had to just be some lost Kingdom Hearts track. This is so good!

With persona music going through different genres with each game it would be nice if the next game has classical music.
