I cannot believe I did this!!! I have no words. Weeks Eternal Leather Goods cover. Thanks for watching! Conditioner used; Affiliate link. amzn.to/3OKhK1z
A happy accident. It’s like accelerating the process of developing a patina. I always think a product is not “complete” without use. Especially with veg tanned leather. Just like a saddle or a pair of boots. I think the ink stain will eventually disappear as the leather darkens. Our natural veg tanned can get really dark. Thank you for sharing the cover with your audience. We treasure your feedback and experience.
I had this just happened to me. I was unpacking and stored my A5 eternal leather goods undyed cover with a chic sparrow blue waypoint Julia bag. The cover had long blue textured stripes all over the front cover. I panic and not thinking took a baby wipe to try and remove the stripes. IT MADE IT WORSE! I DIED AND CRIED. Tried to buff it out with polished and yes...I literally destroyed it and my heart. I unfortunately had to trash it because it was too awful to keep. The cover was so expensive. I was gonna replace it but because of the cost I decided to start using my undyed Galen leather A5 zip folio. I honestly can say I love it. Never used my eternal leather cover as much but I loved the cover.
Your ELG cover looks SO Gorgeous!!! Wow! I liked it before but I absolutely Love it! you've inspired me to save up and purchase one... unless of course you do decide to let this one go! ;)
I wanna say “it’s cool! No worries, it was going to happen!!” But my OCD says “put it away, you’ll never wanna look at it again.” This fear is also why I never use fountain pens near my expensive planners, which is such paranoid behavior but I’ve heard this happening way too often.
Using fountain pens are a risky business. My mom gave me 2 TWSBI Eco fountain pens and a bottle of J Herbin 1670 Rouge Hematite a few years ago for Christmas. When my family went to bed, I stayed up and played with my new pens in the family room on the coffee table while watching A Christmas Story. Despite my mantra of don’t spill the ink, I did. On my light carpet. It wasn’t much, but I made it 1000 times worse. 🤦🏻♀️ I was angry with myself. Sigh. It was bad. And more recently, I was messing around with a pen filled with Organics Studio Nitrogen. I intentionally dropped some ink on paper. What I did NOT intend to do was place my newish Galen Leather A5 zip cover on the paper (back side down) and now I have a spot of Nitrogen on my cover. After the carpet fiasco, I knew better than to try and “fix” it, so I just let it dry and I moved on (but I was unhappy with myself for a few days). Like I said, fountain pens are a risky business, but I still love ‘em. Sorry to hear about your covers, but it sounds like you made the best of it. Both covers are gorgeous!
Haha you are 100% right. They are risky for sure, but a risk I love. I need to just dedicate a space to “play” with them. Thankfully no carpets in my house😂 I will get over it, I’m not there yet 100%. I truly should have just left the darn thing alone. It would have been quite the comedy act if someone watched me and my….oh no, oooh no, oooooohhhh noooooo!!!!! 😂 Oh well such is life.

Name it your constellation planner. Cause it kind of looks like ✨ stars
That is a absolute beautiful color you created there on your ELG
I spoke to your journal and she said she's too beautiful not to have birthmark and that why she asked to be splatted!♥️

I literally think this is a gorgeous cover, you did not ruin it in my book, you make it even more beautiful....and now it has a story 🥰
Oh no, maybe I’ll go with a black cover :) deciding which colour I should get. Or maybe you were able to get the ink out… I’ll keep watching
It’s beautiful, I do feel your pain for the process though!
It is gorgeous!
Ink swatch cover turns into pretty ink splotch all over it as if you meant to do it:)
Haha. I really didn’t but it is more appealing now to me than it was when it was “perfect”😂

Yes, it was a first for me and I just need to realize probably not the last😂
Been there. 💕

I was just about to buy this color in a pocket... I will wait to see the video before I do so :(
@plannermumsy What did you use to work the leather and darken it?
I just used a leather conditioner. That allows the color to stay even throughout.
@@plannermumsy Perfect! Do you have a preference to which conditioner?
@@melso3 I put the link in the description for you💜
@@plannermumsy Thank you so much! 😊
