Hi! Does it fits you well? I mean isn’t too small or too tight!? Are you happy with it? How do you usually get sleep inside of it when it’s cold outside? Can it be also attached to a rectangular sleeping pad? 11:21 It looks pretty big considering it’s compressing size!
Hey! Yeah it's a great quilt, but just a different strap system than a lot of them out there. I don't care for the pad strap setup, but otherwise it's a great quilt and it very comfortable. Thanks for watching!
Looking this up as I saw one second hand for about 160$, seller says it's been used for about 30 nights and was wondering if that was a good price as I don't see many down quilts on sale where I live. I've always used traditional mummy bags but have been looking to try some lighter down quilts to lighten my pack setup. I'm 180cm 80kg, any advice would be appreciated !
@@nirvana613 hey! That seems like a decent price, but I'm sure that's driven by where you are located partially. 30 nights is a decent amount of use, but it still should have a good amount of life left in it! Thanks for watching!
hello thanks for the review. I see the website has the ember 25 listed as 2.5 seasons do you think it will keep you warm at 25 degrees? Im looking to maybe supplement it with warm clothing for California winters
Hi there, very good review.I’m a sleeping bag man for now but might try a quilt to see if it’s better for here in Ireland.I’m just curious but if the quilt wraps around the sleeping pad would the parts that touch the tent floor not get damp? I’ve an Msr hubba nx & the floor can be slightly moist at times.TIA👍
Hey there! Thank you! Yeah, the part that goes under the pad could get damp, but it wouldn't matter as far as warmth. You can also set the quilt up so it's entirely on to of the pad like a sleeping bag. Thanks for watching!
@@12STONESADVENTURES that's great! Glad to help! Let me know how you like it if you do pick one up. It's always helpful if you use the linknin the description as well...helps us keep the channel going. Thanks again!
As far as the straps and buckling them underneath you, you really should purchase pad straps that buckle around the pad. Those straps have adjustable buckles that you attach your quilt strap buckles to. Then you are not having to get out of your quilt to buckle the straps around the pad. Hope that helps.
@@BackwoodsPursuit will normal pads scraps fit to this? I had the cinder model and the straps were not good and never tried using standard pad straps that all the other quilts come ith
@@wad6216 hey there! I don't believe other pad straps will fit this. The Ember has straps that button on, so I'm not sure how you'd attach a standard pad strap. Thanks for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuit I was going to get one but the lack of proper straps and a lack of neck fastening for the neck is a no go ..it as got all the same flaws as the cinder model they do but just better filling

Hey there! Yeah, I had this quilt down to the mid 20s and was fine. I wouldn't go too much lower than that though. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the suggestion! Yeah, it would be easy enough to swap out those straps for ones that are more easily adjustable. Appreciate it!
