      Thanks for the love, Tracy! I am gonna sleep on it and will need to come up with a schedule that works for me - perhaps one upload a month to start with and to add more should I enjoy it. I'll see!

    If arm balances is the main skill I would like to acquire, do you think this is the most appropriate program or should I look for another program which focuses on arm balances? Another question: besides the handstand does the program teach other forms or arm balances?

    Good morning, I am a complete beginner and have never practiced yoga. I would like to gain flexibility because at the moment I can't even touch my feet while keeping my legs straight. in short flexibility 0. Could this program suit me? I am ready to perceive. THANKS

    Wow! It must be good since you took the time and energy to film and upload this. I bought it last week and was planning to start today. :) Do you have any recommendations for beginning Ashtanga?

    • @theminimalistninja
      @theminimalistninja  3 роки тому +1

      It is really good and I am thinking of also getting her other program (beyond flexibility). Really enjoy her style of teaching! Yes! If you can manage it and if there is one available (and open), then I'd go to an ashtanga studio. The best ones are the ones offering mysore style classes. I've been practicing for a long time and made the most progress / learned the most when I started going to a mystore style studio. Find a teacher (or two!) that you like and go to their mystore style classes. While guided ashtanga classes are widely available, they aren't ideal for learning the practice and having been to those myself I can't, generally speaking, recommend them. If you want to dive deep into the practice and learn the asanas one by one, then having a teacher that guides you through it is key. In a mystore style teaching setting you are getting, depending on class size, usually tons of 1:1 time with your teacher which is super valuable! :) I hope that helps! :)

      @@theminimalistninja thank you! There isn't anything like that where we live. I will probably just try Richard Freeman's teachings which I can get online. I am not new to yoga, just Ashtanga. My first yoga class was in 1990! :)

    • @theminimalistninja
      @theminimalistninja  3 роки тому

      Oh damn, what a shame! Richard Freeman is definitely a good resource! I am a huge fan of Kino - she has really good instructions on the primary series on UA-cam and on the second series on her platform OMSTARS. They sometimes have offers and I 100% recommend it! I subscribed for less than $77 per year which is amazing! Awesome that you've been doing yoga for such a long time! That's beautiful!!!!!!! :)

      I've made a blog post about it and to be honest, not that much has changed (www.theminimalistninja.com/my-minimalist-apartment-tour/). I added a few bits and bobs - some of them massive in size, actually, but nothing too major. I'll sleep on it! I've been tempted to film one!

      Hey! It feels weird to have filmed again! Most of them are doing fab! Since last being on UA-cam I've gotten another tragus piercing, two nose piercings, another helix and another rook - I think that's about it. Only one is giving me trouble (my almost 3yo old rock). :S

    I’m 43, I snowboard and so some light workout maybe 2-3 times a week. I can do a hand stand but can’t stay in that position for more than 1 seconds. Am I too old to start this program?

    • @Earwhipper
      @Earwhipper 8 місяців тому

      I bought this program about 2 weeks ago and have been through most of the exercises. The program helps develop core strength, shoulder strength and gives a small section about building up a handstand as a bonus. You are definitely not too old to start this program. I imagine you will get a lot out of it for building functional muscle strength and level up your handstand too.
