    Dan, you deserve a knighthood. Please don’t get too slick with the marketing in the future. Your style has integrity and bags of personality. My favourite music channel by far. Thanks for all you do.

    ‘Oink oink’ was the first chuckle. Analogy of a jam butty , the second. And then masterfully creating sounds like THAT on a potentially screechy violin, with the iPad mic! Breezing effortlessly up and down the C and F scale, eliminating duplicated notes, astounding 👏. We aspire to your level, mate.

    The content you're putting out at the minute Dan is unreal. You're like a cross between Rick Beato and Tony Hart... informative and relaxing in equal amounts. I learn more about music than I do about garageband in your tutorials but I'm totally fine with that. As a multi-instrumentalist and tutor you've got so much going for you with this channel. With a slightly more "professional" camera setup and marketing you could be in the +100k subscriber club. Please keep up the great work. I wish I'd had a music teacher like you in school.

      Cheers very much for your comment, and yes - I need to sort out my marketing - I have no idea what to do though: I'm thinking that organic growth will help me retain audience as opposed to firing my channel into some sort of booster plug-in, where I'd receive spam/be spam on other people's channels. With regard to cameras, I realise they could be better: they're just mobile phones - it's splashing out on better ones that would be a nice load of cash that I haven't got at the moment!

    Great stuff as always Dan. Can you please make a track where you sample yourself saying “oink oink” and use just this for a whole song? 😊 🐷

    This is like a mini-masterclass in composition for mortals like me. This deserves multiple viewings to really take in the rich content. Dan, that little tune is stuck in my head and I want to sing a melody over it and record it. What's your secret (besides talent, practice and study)?

    I am so happy I stumbled across this channel. I was searching for tips on garage band but am getting so much more. What a talented musician and incredible teacher.

    Not sure what it is about @Dan Baker , but when I watch his stuff on theory, or his breakdown of inversions or what EVER about music, I don't get bored, I'm like, all in ...
    Thanks , Sir Dan !

    Thanks Dan. I found this video so informative. It's great to see and listen to you demonstrate Garageband functionality; harmony and song construction together in a single session. It's inspiring too. :)

    Brilliant video Dan very well explained, well enough for me to have a go at some harmonies anyway!

    I like the way you’re using the iPad mic 👍🏻 surprisingly good? What do ya think?
    I’ve seen some videos of absolutely pounding dance parties … no distortion. Huge range - I was impressed

      It’s a pretty good mic for a free thing. Apple really have designed it for FaceTime and video recording but it does have a serious use in GB!

    Hi Dan, please can you tell me what is the best setting use if I am recording congas.

    • @DanBakerMusic
      @DanBakerMusic  3 роки тому

      Hi Patricia, if they’re real congas, you have to be a bit careful with the mic on iOS as it’s quite sensitive. If you bought a Zoom iQ6 mic, you have the option of controlling sound level..
