I have been looking forward to this game since I played the early previews many moons ago we are going to be smashing out a full let's play on this fella I am not sure what is going to be in store for us but I'm sure we will manage to survive!
No recording schedule for release as this is a 2nd channel series however If I have spare time I will be recording and playing this game so will aim for daily but do not count on it life finds a way to mess stuff up XD

This mission caused hair loss
You played the stealth part pretty different from me... i went with the infantry crawling and hugging the border of the map in order to get the machines rather than just bull through the enemies. lol
Best kind of mission. Thriller in a game, that's hard to make.

I think it's fitting that a series about time travel has a game where save scumming is required to win. Actually if they had some fore thought they could have made it a mechanic in itself.
I can't believe you actually completed this mission on realistic difficulty! I feel like they didn't playtest the last half of the game on realistic difficulty, and that's why it's near impossible. Yesterday they even released an update lowering supply consumption and damage taken on medium and lower difficulties, hopefully they'll do the same for the harder difficulties soon as well. Anyways, excellent job!
The game is very difficult but I enjoy it glad it turned out better than expected!
What's the point of make lower the hard mode to become a medium? That's ridiculous. Simply answer is not to play in hard unless you want it challenging.
The thing I found with this mission was that you don't even need to turn off the cameras and that the "5 minutes go loud" option doesn't actually have a timer on it

but you now need to spend more of your points on upgrading everything to the max of your abilities... because this is it, you dont really need more them this to beat the game on realistic.

35:30 A note about the Legion loudness: its important for the player to hear the legion units while sneaking around, so their sfx are amplified in this mission. I recall that the other times when you fought Legion they werent that loud.

I was soft locked at this point and had to restart the campaign. My second time through I felt like a boss. Scavenging more vehicles than the first run, selling them off, and then surplus buying resources with the extra good will points every chance I had.

Awesome job soldiering through. This mission particularly showed the annoying things in line of sight, building garrison and maddening RNG of weapons hitting anything. Oh and pathfinding where one dude from a squad is stuck in a corner half a map away from his team.

Nice to see someone else doing this on realistic, I wanted to see if your tactics were different from mine but 90% of it is (as we both know) is save scumming because your ATGM's decide to fly off near the moment of impact and the other 10% is ammo convservation.

I was actually playing in advance to not get spoiled but i watched this now in advance in case i miss something in that Mission but obviously you have to get redicules lucky to make it through that junkyard.
Something I will say on this one is the legion patrols it does not seem to react to players attacks that would of change how I handled things a bit in hindsight
Oklahoma was insane. I have to keep my drivers safe like gold, my commanders platinum, and pilots as diamonds. Not because I need more big vehicles, because I need to collect all the vehicles left to sell them. Like the cartel tanks you kept, I sold those immediately. Tanks seem powerful till they get 1 shot. Only the Abrums seems to survive the worst of situations as long as I don't do something dumb.
If you want to have a larger army, you can restart privately at some point and then play normally.
Gotta make sure your infantry squads have atgm.

Just out of curiosity but how long does it truly take for you to finnish these missions and how often do you have to reload the mission? I'm trying to figure out if I should buy it because it looks fun but I've seen others who play alot of RTS say this is pain to play and im still new to rts so don't want to waste money on a game im never gonna have fun playing due to difficulty.
Okay so most missions are only 30mins or so more than video however..... this one is hell incarnate it took 3-4 hours on the stealth bit
Yikes, part of me wonders if the balancing is messed up because I dude I watch say for example the convoy mission from the beginning of the game took him over 5 hours of reloading because his stuff would insta die on medium. But I see your stuff shrug off the same shots his insta die to
I am on realistic mode so take 100% of damage I have tried on lower difficulties you can breeze through the game though need to be careful for supplies
@@robocop1279 Is because he is playing on realistic, you units matter... you cant drag and click... on realistic is micro hell... if you play on normal is a walk in the park... if you hit the deck with units, or put then in a building, they are basicly imortal...
but how this dude was playing? he was playing like @ThreatXtra if he was playing like him, there is no way his units would die like flies... now if he is out in the open, no smoke,not telling your units to hit the deck, you will die alot.
you need to see this game, not as a RTS but as a puzzle game where your pieces matter, you need to do everything to protect them... so yeah you will not drag and just point to a enemy, you will scout with the heli or a light truck and use artillary on them... do not play this like starcraft.
From playing on both Medium and realistic difficulties, I would say there is not that much of a difference. Very rarely do I lose a unit unless it gets one shot (which happens far too often IMO) or it decides to do something I did not intend for it to do (If you give a unit an attack order and it does not have line of sight it will move straight towards it until it does, which results in them leaving the defensive position I set up, or instead of moving directly to where I tell them they decide to go on the roads and encounter a hostile ambush) or other silly mistakes (sending out units with no ammo). On medium if you make one of those mistakes you can sometimes retreat the problematic unit and recover them, on realistic they are dead.
I think the HIMAR was moving because it was still RELOADING. The bar was moving slowly from when you called it to when you fired.
I had the same issue with the legion tank sound effects blowing out my eardrums in the Nueva Tortuga mission! It seems to only happen if you have direct control over a legion unit, I don't know why.
how i did this mission, tried the stealth approach several times, reloaded chose violence. Left the cctv cameras on, took 10 mins to bring in all forces in 3 waves including himars, still had the location of the arty on cctv, fired the himars killing the arty 15 mins into the game and then it was pretty easy from there.
great video though curious about something. Could you have used Kondo to hack one of the supply platforms to resupply the legion tanks and artillery?
Man I was nearly crying getting my army out of Oklahoma. I even only asked everyone for supplies and still I had to axe some beloved toys.
What you want to do is heal all your infantry, go to the destroyed founders camp, sell off all the excess vehicles and get as many supplies as you can , go to the Movement camp, sell off your excess infantry and get as many supplies as you can (and you can pick up some upgrades). I was able to get to Fort worth with 2 days extra supplies, and a comparable sized force (though I only had 3 Abrams and 3 bradys, but I had 4 hummers).
That is not possible there is not enough supplies in those two locations to go there and to fort worth without losing a larger amount of units trust me i tried
Just completed this mission on hard yesterday and its been the hardest one yet by far. I lost 1 abrams, 1 bradley 1 stryker, multiple infantry squads 70+ casualties and 11 vehicles lost. You just cant avoid maasive losses due to the permanent respawns. And that wasnt even on realistic.
I also missed the last batch of prisoners simply because my guys were critically low on ammo and if I waited there'd be no chance I could get out.
they need to put a small or medium mission in between long distance ones so u can get supllies. plus its mind breaking they say it takes 5 days to travel a 3 hour car ride, have they never used a road or map?
If you chose the non stealth mission and didn't cause a bunch of noise, I didn't have a five minute counter. Just bring in the first wave and let time pass until you can bring in a rocket truck. Blast the capacitors, then bring in all your forces. Don't mess with trying to stealth up to the capacitors, just rocket barage em.

Will you be doing Syrian Warfare next? Its basically the predecessor to this game, with very similar game mechanics too
I finished my run a while ago but I am almost certain you can travel back and forth between Okhlahoma and the Movement base next to it for no supply consumption and you can buy/sell at the movement base.
No, you can't. Maybe you could at one point, but that Movement base is now 2 days travel away from Oklahoma.

@@darrenjpeters Realistic. Had an army of 124k supply per day. First travel tp the integrators 1 day away. Sell all the shit vehicles from oklahoma. Have 40-50k goodwill points. Buy all their supply. Go to movement base, and slim your army. Refuel, refit and give ammo to your troops that are depleted. With 85k per day, i got to Fort Worth. (And i also could get the new chopper and armour for my vehichles, so no supply from interactions with characters.)
Of course you have to be strategic with your resources all campaign through. I never had any problem with resources.

I think that you could have used an EMP grenade to stun an supply truck and converted it to supply your own forces with kendo
And again our ThreatX does not understand how the himars works! The Range mate is correct as it is displayed the himars just needs to "stop" litteraly as it has pretty much like the ATGM squads a setup time, you can kinda make it out by reading its description which pretty much says that this unit is not supposed to fire its volley on its own but requires a direct order which in turn expects the operator of the vehicle your crew or in other words you to "set the himars up". In short just press stop or bring it in range and wait til you see the yellow bar above it, when it reaches its end it is "setup" and ready to fire its volley ... this is how the himars in this game works its as simple as that ;). I did this mission in hard but for me it was a walk in the park even though it is considered to be difficult ;). Granted it is not realistic but i guess i could do the same as its just a bit more damage received and a bit more enemies thats the difference there ;). However the Himars is micromanagement intensive but therefore its payload of only 6 long range artillery missiles really leaves a mess behind it in the area you would shot at, in other words a mininuke on wheels! The problem with reality here just is that the real counterpart actually would be very accurate as its flight path and payload is preprogrammed to hit the correct spot via satellite tracking or any other form of bf surveillance tracking in order to hit its targets but we need to keep in mind that we play in a post-apocalyptic world so there you go and so much to this kind of realism :D ;).
Oh nooo, I can't foresee that 5 tanks, APCs and shitload of infantry will take 5 days to travel!
Ohohoho, enjoy my friend the pure nonsense and the worst mission ever. No matter how bad it gets, remember that it will get worse. Also....the next missions will be worse:) better prepare yourself a safe word.....just say it when you need a break:) also, no more looting or free stuff, chose the paladins as rewards if you didn't get them. Also, when are you uninstalling the game?:) i thought nueva tortuga was bad but it got so much worse
39:59 ok that was just fucked by the developers, i can understand the hard as fuck stealth mission (they already had the rpg level) but they know how bad escort missions are, literally every other mission in the game they gave you control of the unit that needed defending and then they do this?
dont feel bad saving multipke times on hard levels. i have seen u do far better on other levels than other streamers who save scum every time a ranger or vehicle dies
You keep ignoring the game giving you supplies... Capture the Legion Supply Trucks... Like they are spawning undefended for a reason.

@@ThreatXtra I'm guessing it's just common sense, they give you limited units with no way to resupply them and then they have all these supply trucks roaming across the map.
even if u have unlimited supplies, the game keep saying oh lets start a world saving war battle wirh 5 bros and a jeep for no reason, the world is at stake. no reason u wouod creep up artillery, field all tanks, and sneak in every ranger, not just literally 2 men. dumb
