great vid, great job, i love this one epic kancolle is always best kancolle it's the only shipgirl franchise that actually understands what makes shipgirls appealing or takes proper advantage of the premise
For real, Kancolle is the good one of these because it's really all about fallen warriors getting resurrected in the present day in a new, expressive form and getting another chance to protect each other and the humans who "brought them to life" when they failed to before, as they fight against their mirror image made from their own regrets, resentment, and anger taking it out on humanity for building and then abandoning them. The game makes you put this together yourself but all the characters' and bosses' lines describe it pretty explicitly (it helps to speak Japanese). But that also means any adaptation like this has to keep it vague because everyone puts it together differently. And it's easy to get on board (har) because the characters have unimpeachably excellent backstories: real WW2 naval history, stuff that actually happened, and that gives them their emotions and motivations (and PTSD) in the present, because they _are_ those same ships. And yeah, the martial-style attire is so much better than the really tryhard cosplay stuff-It looks like they're here first and foremost to fight like ships (and they actually properly fight _like ships_ in this one) which is what makes them appealing as a concept for a bishoujo character in the first place, but that they can still look good on top of it, which has also always been part of any ship's job.
@@frogisis True man,History and the War aspect of these magnificent Warmachines were more respected in Kancolle due to their personifications and appearance.For instance Akagi being a reliable and kind Senior and because she was commissioned long before the war,and her PTSD of Midway.In Azur Lane however,she is depicted as a horny onee-san,and her outfit is just too over the top for a Warship,no offense to AL players though

I managed to download Kancolle in 720p from Kissanime.com I dunno if it's a good idea, but seeming as it's only 3.8GB [including movie] I was going to set up a random email and upload it all to a OneDrive [Which has a download feature] so I can give out the password on here or via email, etc to those who wanna watch/download it for themselves lol. uTorrent is useless as the subtitles don't work (or there are no seeders to download it in the first place). I promise there will be NO VIRUSES and in order to prove this, you can Stream it on OneDrive without downloading. I'm awaiting the DVD to arrive on eBay, so this shouldn't be a hassle :) Just spreading the love lol

You're right- But i think at some point the writers were trying to replicate the games mechanics at least somewhat (I mean obviously close-quarters combat isn't part of the game but it's still pretty cool to watch) In the game you are limited to 6 slots per fleet so if you want a carrier you need it in one of your groups. But don't quote me on that i could be wrong- Just some food for thought. Could be just for the sake of having cool action scenes

Shouldn’t the Kongou class be middle aged in this anime lol? By the time ww2 came around they were more than a little bit outdated. (They’re roughly similar in age and design to many of the British ships that fought in Jutland in 1916) That being said unlike say Nagato and Yamato they saw action frequently and throughout the war. They mostly got picked off by American submarines.
