    By the way those 6384 190kv bkb motors are more than ok 190kv doesn’t make it specifically for 12s because it is used on 10s also and Hoyt is using 6384 190kv motors on the Hoyt dadbod at 16s9p p42a so you should have no problems at all if the motors die I would reccomend going with reacher motors 🙌🤙🤙

    17:18 I recommend using the highest kv you can gear back down to your desired top speed. higher kv motors typically handle higher amperage. going lower kv throws that power range away.

      @@chipmon916 thanks. Tomiboi made some updates to the odashi deck so if you have a later model it might work without the extensions. Also depends on the tire size you choose. I needed to use extensions on both ends.

    That really beautifully executed. couldn't you ask tomiboi when making your deck to make the back and front end a bit longer to be able to house your trucks better so that an extention would not be needed. How much did you end up spending all together

    • @ELECTRIC-DNA
      @ELECTRIC-DNA  Рік тому

      Possibly. I’m not sure the process he takes when making decks though and if you can make dimensional change requests. $3300 but I already had the motors and got the bro deal on the battery build. Id expect to spend 3500-5k on a similar build depending on what components you choose.

    Awesome build man, great job! I just left you a FB comment on this because there are a lot of similarities in thinking process to the build that I am doing now.
    Just curious what the aviation connectors are that you mentioned in the "keeping it real"?
    MR-60 and MT-60 connectors are the only ones that I've found in that amperage range.
    Also one note... Do you know what your xlr charge port can handle for amps? On my first build I was going to try a few different connectors but they were all pretty low amp capacity. I got a 12A charger so I ended up going with an xt30 connector to handle that level of charge. Before you make the jump to a high output charger, you might want to double check what that port is rated for.
    The one I was using originally was 13A, but I wanted a higher margin of safety and didn't want that to heat up which is why I went to an xt30

    • @ELECTRIC-DNA
      @ELECTRIC-DNA  Рік тому

      weipu connectors are one good choice it seems. There may be others as well. Good call on the charging amperage, you always wanna double check that. I’m honestly pretty fine with 5A right now but may jump up to a 10 on the future.

      @@ELECTRIC-DNA thanks for the advice, I just ordered (2) 3 pin sp29 (50A) for the motor phase wires. I went with 18/20 guage 6 pin automotive connectors for the motor sensors, and sp21 for the charge port (30 A). I may try the sp11 (13A) and just monitor with my thermal camera and see if it heats up from the 12A charging..... Feeling pretty good about the parts ordered now. When I design the panel I can share the file with you if you want.

    Hey mate, what about the rebound, I understand that those 3links don’t rebound to center, do you feel it, is it bad?

    • @ELECTRIC-DNA
      @ELECTRIC-DNA  Рік тому

      Very little rebound, feels like there is a small amount but it’s dependent on how loose the bushing is imo. Almost none though really. It’s great, let’s you control the positioning of the truck in a turn really well. The trucks are really responsive so a slight motion can make a big movement happen, especially when running them on the looser side. There are different durometer bushings available from riptide as well so you can get it tuned in how you like it. Hope that helps.

      @user-pm2yq3wm9w Рік тому

    • @ELECTRIC-DNA

      Have not tried them. You are also able to run belts on SRB links.

  • @thelobuezoo9324
    @thelobuezoo9324 Рік тому +1

    Damn dude! That turned out nice! It’s the same type of build I’m looking at doing this spring. You even picked the same deck and battery size I want. Lol. The only thing I want to do differently is the trucks. Nothing against the race trucks (that’s a different build after 😉), I am looking more towards something like the Torqueboard 218’s or the flipsky 16” rkp or something similar. I like my Ecomobl ET front truck a lot but the rear won’t work with belts so the search continues. Maybe a hyper truck kind or trampa set up. Who knows.
    Did you have to adjust the bioX for your set up at all?

    • @ELECTRIC-DNA
      @ELECTRIC-DNA  Рік тому

      Thanks! Loving this build. I’d take a look at 3dservisas hangers possibly if you’re wanting wide RKP. BKB has some pretty wide hangers also. I love channel trucks too so I’d consider the matrix III also. Lots of great options. All I did with the BioX was run motor detection and basic programming. Didn’t mess with firmware and see no need to, my other boards are running 5.2 and they’ve been great. Good luck with your build! So as much on paper before buying anything as possible!
