This story comes from the coastal region of Mangalore in Karnataka, southern India. The Kolas happen once every year to sometimes once in three years. We do the pujas and pray the Lord to protect over our lands. Ever family pray to different deities. I being from that part of town, my family has a kola once every three years and we have three deities.
If you are interested, There are three people you definitely watch out for Rishab Shetty, Raj Shetty and Rakshith Shetty. These three have been bringing out beautiful content in the Kannada movie industry. You should watch Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vahana. My personal favorite of Kannada Movie industry. One of the best gangster dramas based on mythology. Raj Shetty has directed the movie and acted as the lead with Rishabh Shetty as the other lead (the director/lead of Kantara). You should also watch Charlie 777 as well.

The girl rightfully said she hated the protagonist because of his aggression and how he was treating his girlfriend. Rishab Shetty in an interview said exactly that, he wanted a grey shade in the protagonist and he wanted to make sure people doesn't think he is a cliche likeable hero with holier than thou character.
More like first portion of the film shows the Raudra aspect of Shiva which is very aggressive and destructive. He kills animals, cuts trees drinks wine all day sitting around doing nothing, he peeps on woman bathing. He is doing things against his pravritti which he himself knows. Thats because he is running from his destiny which is path of Goodness which he realises after the devine vision. Thats why he says he has purified when landlord offers him drinks and meat at his house. This was one of the best films of 2022. I watched it in packed theater. The climax is so fkin thrilling. I got goosebumps. Rishab kild it in this films.

The protagonist is the director himself😍
He disappeared coz he was already dead during the climax fight. Panjurli gave him another life just to defeat them and to produce the offspring so that his son will be the protector after him. When the work is done he disappeared.

Panjurli (in yellow) is actually a avatar of lord Shiva and Guliga (in black) deva is a avatar of lord Vishnu.
According to mythological stories Guliga deva used to create trouble for villagers, he would eat everything, destroy villagers homes etc. So there used to be fight between Panjurli and Guliga. But then Shiva and Vishnu had to interfere and made them friends and asked them both to protect the village together.
If you would notice - in the movie also Shiva = Panjurli, Inspector Murli - Another name of Vishnu they faught alot initially. But came together when the villagers needed them.
In the last fight scene, Panjurli send Guliga to kill the villain through Shiva.
There is a mistake there punjuli is avatar of Lord vishnu
And this story is fully wrong bro you are not getting it at all punjuli is a main demigod and guliga is a bunta (kshethrapala, a ghatkeeper of the village) if punjuli orders to save people guliga will obey the command.
In the last climax seen punjuli called guliga that's why guliga entered into shiva and it was soooo ferocious so you got it wrong bro don't make your own story
