  • This is an unboxing and review video of the Rode NT1 5th generation studio microphone. This is an epic sounding microphone that offers a number of really great highlights. The most important takeaway from this video will be that it's really easy to setup and get sounding great whether that's with an XLR interface or USB connection, because it's flipping awesome frankly.
In this video I'm showing you the power of the Rode NT1 and I am testing it in several different setups. For a start I'm using it with the Rodecaster Pro 2, but also with the USB-C connection and and then with the Razer Audio Mixer. In each of these settings it was really easy to setup and it automatically sounds great and seemingly blocks out loads of background with minimum fuss which is excellent.
The Rode NT1 has a number of cool features that make it sound great:
    - Dual analogue XLR and digital USB connectivity, making it more accessible thanks to a plug-and-play design
    - 32-bit floating point digital output which means no risk of clipping when using it with USB
    - Onboard DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and 32-bit float recording option which means it sounds great whether you're quiet or loud
    - Exceptionally low noise (4dBA) handling so you can whisper
    - Ultra-high-resolution (up to 192kHz) analog-to-digital conversion

Sorry to be off topic but I have a question for you related to the Corsair commander pro and the pre installed PWM fan hub on the 5000D airflow is there a way to connect it to the commander pro or does it not matter, want all fans to be controlled by the ICUE software but not sure if it will work

i love the sound of this mic, but i would be using this microphone in a untreated room(bedroom)- just for personal use. I don't mind it picking up an occasional motorcycle speeding by I just dont want it sounding like im in a box or have an echo. Other mics I was considering was the podmic usb or the RØDE NT-USB+ but by first choice would be nt1 5th gen. Your thoughts if the nt1 in a untreated room? And if you don't suggest it in that environment, what are your thoughts on the podmic usb vs nt-usb+ lol If you dont care for either I'd love a suggestion. Usb mic is a plus. Thanks!
