just grabbed the 3000HG miravel for 90€ on a sale, to compliment my nasci 3000HG which you also recomended, so thank you for your informative and fun videos!
I’ll definitely be picking up the Miravel when I upgrade my drop shot reel. I’m using a Revros which is fine for the money but I need a faster gear ratio and the MGL rotor will definitely made is easier to keep proper tension on my line.
I’m picking one of these up for my Jigging rod this week. Headed to Windsor to chase walleyes while we wait patiently for seasons to start opening up here again

Thinking about buying this reel. Just trying to decide which size works best for me. I primarily target largemouth. I enjoy fishing poppers and slug-gos, but I'm getting lazier and lazier and have been using live bait shiners more often.
Look awesome LB. Your a great ambassador for shimano gear they are lucky too have your knowledge and input in that style of fishing. I think its Cleaver marketing by shimano you can buy there base models for aroubd £30. But spend another £30 and you get alot of specs from higher models. Keep em comming
On a scale of 1-10, how smooth is the reel? My father has a cheap 13 Fishing One3 Creed GT which is super smooth and silky to reel, I wonder if the Miravel is similar.
I got my wife the 3000 on sale at Academy Sports. For a $100 she likes it. It's lighter than the Stradic 4000. She complained the Stradic made her wrist sore. She caught 21 fish no problems. I like reels that last. I just need a reel that's relatively smooth. But if it lasts with no problems. Like bent mainshaft or clickers that stop. Then to me it's money well spent. Only time will tell if the Miravel lasts like my Stradics. But it's having a great start
Hello LadyBass, I was looking for a new fishing reel. Would you still reccomend the Miravel? I was also looking at the Nasci, but thinkin of a 2500 or 3000 for lake fishing. Might hit inshore at some point.
Yes i would! NASCI is also a great reel, i like it for more of my heavier stuff such as lake trout jigging. If you want something more finesses, id definitely say go Miravel!
@@LadyBass Awesome thank you, I really love the dark blue, already have a dark blue Shimano rod for it and 1.3 oz less weight over the Nasci. keep up the amazing videos
See thats a tough one - i just had this discussion with someone else. To me it looks like a very very dark slate blue, and i can see it looking black depending on the lighting.
For drop shot ned rig, assuming your using a lighter rod, id go with a 2500. Most of the time, for swimbaits, hairjigs, spy baits, worms etc., i like the 3000 - mostly for the paddle handle!
Man I did the same thing with a Leupold scope I scored off of offerup. Get home grab the top box off seat and the and bottom part of box slipped out and ping ding onto concrete. I was saddened. $100 to get new end caps now. Smdh🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Ultegra has a coresolid rotor, micromodule 2, long stroke spool, one piece bail, S A-RB bearings (shields on both sides of the bearings), and X-protect. Although its about 0.8oz heavier, you are getting a lot nicer reel with the Ultegra!
i got a 2500 miravel from bass pro 2 weeks ago . it is not a smooth reel , it drags slightly when reeling in line . it is not as smooth as my diawa BG or my RG2500hAB or even my kastking sharky 3 . i'm very disappointed in this shimano miravel and it is going back to bass pro for a refund .
@@LadyBass My Exceler LT still going strong after years... 20lb Buffalo 30lb pike ain't done much damage. I love Shimano by the way, just seen too much hype around it..
@TTang Outdoors shimano have the best reels all around honestly. Shimano vs Daiwa is like toyota and honda. Shimano would be toyota and Daiwa would be honda, in that case shimano is better lol
@@ckong46 I have to point out that even in 2023, Daiwa has much lighter spinning reels in the sub $150 dollar range. That's a big chunk of consumers. I give it to shimano in the mid level and on the flagship and sub flagship models I think they are neck to neck.
Hi L.B. 👋 I own a Shimano Reel. The only one I have and it's the Shimano FX-2. I like it too. It casts really nice and it comes with 10 Ib Premium Mono. BTW. Your Hair is getting Long again. Ib, I purchased two 3000s after your announcement last week. These reels are truly amazing. Thanks 🎣☮️😎
Wow the drag system sounds amazing! Cant wait till mine gets here

I just ordered a Dobyns 702SF and a Nasci 2,500, I will eventually pick the Marivel their on backorder at AmericanLegacy.

Goodluck over there!!

Id look at the 2500 and 3000 sizes! Same weight/size, the 3000 just has a power knob (the T shaped one), and a deeper spool so it holds more line.
@@LadyBass Thank you so much. You confirmed my choice with the 2500, but now I'm also going to think about the 3000. lol.
Thinking about getting the same combo for a low end combo! I much liked the feel and lightness of the SLX over the new tatula XT rod.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by the new slx spinning rods, very crisp
Great video! Looks like an awesome reel. Love my SHIMANO reels. Might exchange my Nasci 4000 in the future and would consider this one for sure 🤔
Very nice review. It will be my next reel to pair with the newer Shimano SLX rod
Awesome👍🏼
Just watched your video so is this definitely worth picking up over the nasci?
Anytime I've let people use my Nasci they always say man that Stradic is an awesome reel!
Hi, I was thinking between the Miravel, Stradic FM and Daiwa BG. Which is better for boat fishing?

I LOVED my Nasci. Replaced it with this.
After i see your video i buy my new shimano miravel c5000xg
bail arm automatically close or by hand manually please confirm with me
Have bought one, yet to take it out on the waters.
I like the choice of line!
Haha thanks! First time trying the glow v2
thoughts on miravel 4000? worth it for 100 bucks?
Shimano is Lucky to have you using and Promoting their Products! Great Vid!!
Love Shimano spinners! Even though I currently cast a Lew's spinner. Hahaha
I just bought this yesterday size 3000. Intend to load in PE1.5 and use it for heavy tenya jig to target groupers and mangrovejacks.
Nice!!
@@LadyBass hopefully
What rod are you using with this ?
Shimano slx 7ft medium
Shimano should hire you as their Ambassador. Ambassador Isabella, has a nice ring to it don't you think 🤔 Happy fishing Isabella 🎣🎣🎣
Haha i am on the pro staff team👍🏼
@@LadyBass Oh. Never mind.
Is that the 3000?
Ladybass can you please once and for all clear this up for me and a buddy please!! Is the frame on the dang thing blue or black?! Please answer thanks
See thats a tough one - i just had this discussion with someone else. To me it looks like a very very dark slate blue, and i can see it looking black depending on the lighting.
That was a mean hookset 😵💫
Thanks for the review, between the 2500 vs 3000 which do you prefer? Plan for dropshot and nedrig

Bought this one today accidentally drop it on concrete while spooling tripped on the braid line and its scratch now. Sad life
Ouch that hurts🥲
@@LadyBass Is it ok to put 15lbs power pro braid on it? And what rod rating do u have it on?
Yea for sure! Its the 7ft medium slx - i believe its rated for 8-30lb power pro
@@LadyBass thanks will change 10lb to 15 lbs

Isn't the Ultegra a better beefier reel?.. about the same price! 2500 is 7.9oz

@LadyBass I just ordered 2500! I also have vanford 1000 for UL fishing, it's super nice!
@@gleamtarrest6310 You will love it for a more power approach! And yea the vanford is hard to beat for finesse!
Hey lady bass thanks for the great video I'm on a budget so this reel will be a good fit for me. GOD bless you and your family.
One eye Betty!😂 looked healthy otherwise. Very nice combo!
Definitely doesnt have an issue eating lol!
Need one, or 3…maybe 5
Looks like the new budget spinning champion. Matches my Fenwick trout rods too 😆.. 🤔
Its a hell of a reel for the price!
Was about to get a nasci 2500 or 3000 but you might’ve just sold me on the miravel.
Honestly, theres a huge difference weight and feel wise if that’s something that’s important to you
@@LadyBass most of my spinners are daiwa’s lt line, so yeah weight is important. 👍🏻

That reel looks huge. Maybe you just have small hands
Its 3000 size, theres other sizes
I gotcha. Thanks for the video LB
Daiwa achieved 7.2oz at 2500 size in 2017 already just saying... and cheaper
Yes, and the drag burns out and the shaft bends - at least the ones my buddies have
