54km family ride completed by an 8 year old

Went cycling over the weekend and decided to go to East Coast park (~18km). The kids were feeling confident to go back the long route which is another 36km so we decided to go for it. Feeling proud that my 8-year-old was able to finish.

Thank you for the kind words. We had to remind him to keep a steady pace so as not to burn out early. We also made sure to keep him engaged during the activity and make it a fun one. Feeling proud to have a good kid.
