Look how long it took the UFC to break into the market in their own country, after decades all it really took was the fight with Forrest Griffin and the runner up that made the UFC explode. It’s round 1, you don’t waste a game like that on round 1. Fans will be frothing that is footy back, so the NRL will get numbers regardless of what the match ups are

If it's just about- oh here is a normal game of footy - they would of made the tigers play the dogs in las Vegas or the titans play the Raiders. Souths vs Roosters is a game every league fan in Australia looks forward too no matter who you barrack for, it's edge of the seat stuff, they should have showcased the biggest fiercest rivalry game that we love here and broadcast that to the Americans on their home soil. The NRL missed the jump with that imo
