I have been attempting to wrap my mind around why Christian leaders have not been addressing a particular leader's behavior, that impacts not only the country I live, but the globe who has stated "I am a Christian". So, having attended Kathryn Kuhlman meetings as a child, Mario Marrilo, Leroy Jenkins, attended evangelical churches, all that went with an evangelical, I just can't wrap my heart around it and wonder what Jesus would do/say. Where is the integrity in leadership? Considering Jesus' teachings in the New Testament, several key principles could guide Christian leaders in their behavior and choices regarding political figures like ______: 1. Truth and Integrity Matthew 5:37 (NIV): "All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." Advice: Jesus would likely advise leaders to be truthful and straightforward, avoiding duplicity or compromise of integrity. This means calling out behavior that is not aligned with Christian values, regardless of political consequences. 2. Love and Compassion Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV): "Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’" Advice: Jesus would emphasize the importance of love and compassion in all actions. Seeing people as they are and trusting them to be exactly who they are is a much better strategy. You will save a lot of dissapointment.
