All Saints Summer Camp 2023 We Celebrate As Family

Our parish was so happy to host a summer day camp from August 1-4, 2023 for students K-8 focusing on the faith and our ethnic traditions, both of which ground us in things that are eternal. The camp began each morning with Mass and quiet prayer and featured daily lessons by the Sacred Heart Sisters on the sacraments, saints, and works of mercy, as well as various ethnic folk crafts. Ethnic activities included explanations of various customs, among them traditions of the liturgical year, the Polish Christmas meal, the Italian presepio, a mini Czestowchowa pilgrimage, and the blessing of Easter foods, baking, making butter lambs, a field trip to the Heritage Discovery Center in Johnstown, and a dance and culture lesson by the famed Tamburitzan folk ensemble of Pittsburgh were also part of the camp.
