Hi, Tim! I really love your videos. :]
Here's a tip! You said you couldn't see your pencil lines well, so if you don't want to ruin your sharpies, get yourself a softer-leaded pencil (something like a 2B would work) or a charcoal pencil. You can pick them up at any arts and crafts store.

Oh man, last time I saw one of these get made, it was on a treadle lathe on a farm in Romania. Impressed to see one made on a modern lathe, doesn't seem any easier though. Great work on it, much nicer(in quality and video) than the other one. :D

Errors with terminology. Callipers when using dividers, tenon when refering to the recess. When producing the base THOSE were callipers. Otherewise an enjoyable display.

Mr. Tim, why would you not cut out the corners using a band saw first before you started the turning on the vessel?

I could have and that's a very good idea. I just wanted to show the technique on how you could turn corners away if you didn't have a bandsaw.
