It’s been a bit since you uploaded this, but I want to say that I’ve really enjoyed y’all’s readings of MTMTE and RID. I really hope you decide to continue them both, because the experience becomes so much more immersive hearing voices with all of the panels. I originally came from watching Team Trainwreck’s dubs of the comics years ago, and while I adore those, you guys do a really good job too. My only critique is that some of the voices could use some work (some kind of sound like someone forcing a gruff voice or an accent at times, and some other times it can be a little inconsistent with some of the characters in particular), but besides that, I hold a lot of praise for your work! I appreciate the heck out of the attention to detail and the commitment to making these panels really come alive and “lived-in”, like we’re really witnessing what is going down in these comics. I sincerely hope to see even more from you, and I’m excited to see where you go next!
Thank you for the kind words! We're definitely going to do more, but the reason for our long breaks is that we only do these for fun and to practice our skills. A lot of us actually work professionally or are working to become professionals in acting/animation/theatre/etc, so that's our number one priority in our lives. However, we love making these so we will definitely continue them at some point!
Very nice overall. But have you guys ever considered using other sound effects for the transformations aside from the ones used in G1? Like the transformation sound used in Animated or Prime, or even the WFC and FOC games since they really gave unique ones to each of the characters. Just saying that it doesn’t hurt to mix things up.
The main reason we stick to the G1 sound effects is because the IDW comics are considered to be part of the G1 continuity family. I at least feel it'd be a bit odd to have the prime transformation effects with a G1 version of the character for example. In the future for specific circumstances we might use other sound effects, but I'd want to be able to justify with a reason better than just wanting to change it up. Perhaps when we get to the colonies we'll use different effects for them.
@@MaksDudekVA_main I think that would be a cool idea to have the colonies have different transformation sound bytes. Since they lived in different conditions than Cybertronians, it would almost be like a weird evolutionary thing.
