I always loved Shadow. Everything about him just amazed me. His design, his personality, his strenght. But, his backstory. Made my heart sink. He lost one of his closest friends, and just memories of her traumatizes him. I know all villians don't cause chaos just for fun, they do it for a reason. And Shadow's reason for destruction and chaos in the games, really make me think that he deserves a second chance to be happy too.
He promised her... REVENGE. Until Amy smacked Maria's words into him again. He feels so real because if I lost someone like that... I would go down to same path. But about Shadow being happy, He is. We don't know for sure but he has a whole cast of Sonic's friends by him now😊
Gerald also messed with his mind. Programmed shadow to evaluate going out of his way to hurt others as a higher priority using the memory as a trigger. It twisted his morality around with pain and rage. It’s easy to forget that shadow can easily snap pretty much anyone’s neck without a second thought. We’re use to the levels and jarring cutscenes. But over the years his character has been established more and more. He can quite easily kill pretty much everyone around him, and as cool as he might look to others or how others sympathize with his grief, he is, at heart, born with excessive power.
Two childhood friends separated by the cruelty of humanity. Leaving only one of them alive in this world without her. To eventually seek revenge on every human that he thinks are to blame and destroy the world. Until he eventually learns that that was never what she wanted and she wanted them to befriend everyone on Earth not hurt them. Leaving him in tears to fix his mistake and to continue living in this world with her in his heart as a Hero. There's a reason why Shadow is the very best character. Everything about him speaks to us and his awesome powers and design. This movie has the age up. The first movie came out in 2020 but not this time everybody back then it should be 4 years older. They could handle a little bit matureness.

Darkest part of the game to me was Gerald's doomsday message. A still old man chained to a chair in a jail cell, stating his hatred for humanity and plan to destroy the world. Then footage turns red, as an off screen soldier asks him if he has anything else to say. When he says no, the last thing you hear is the soldier yelling 'READY!' before the video cuts out.

It’s a still, flickering GIF, but you can tell he’s in a firing line up. Third movie has a lot of expectation riding on it, including his imprisonment on prison island.
No, at first he didnt know what Maria had told him, so he wanted to avenge her by killing humans, but once he talks with Amy he realized what Maria actually told him was to give people a chance, which is why in the end he helps sonic and sacrifices himself to save earth.

Which Doom is returning the next sonic game. Shadow was supposed to kill every human to take over the world for that was Doom plan but Shadow memories of Maria is what made him go the right direction and not fall under Dooms hands and he killed Doom instead in the end.

Well, in Sonic movies every main characters (but tails) lose a loved one. Sonic lost his mum. Knuckles lost his dad. Shadow lost his sister. Those fluffy cute and colouful aliens have loneliness as one of their main traits. All of them.
A little girl really got killed cuz of all this and a bunch of people got executed and a man got captured and tortured until he was finally killed I wonder how they are gonna adapt this to the movie without starting a war with parents

Please have Shadow's backstory be in Sonic Movie 3 in its entirety. All of this would make great story telling. And have the Wachowskis like debunked all of the lies that G.U.N. has made regarding it.
