If Dr. Bergsma says it's great - that's a guarantee it's worth my time.

Thank you Dr. Bergsma for the lecture. Your discussion of the first reading caught my attention on the Feast of Wheats. This reminded me of the separation of the wheat in the end of time in the Gospel. Indeed, the best is reserved for the last by God. It will be a fulfillment of the promise of jubilee. Praise be Jesus!

I took mass for granted a few months ago when I accepted weekend shifts at my job. At the end of august when I start school again, I’ll be able to go to mass again, can’t wait!!

Our son ( you were one of his favorite professors ) just bought us yours and Brandt Pitre’s book : A Catholic introduction to The Bible , The Old Testament. Those who receive Holy Eucharist in a state of mortal sin, without going to confession and no deep faith with get little or no grace. That is why the do not feel the Lord's presence. May God change their attitude

Dr Bergsma, you are a gift to the common Catholic. Stuff reserved of old to the doctors, is opened through your knowledge. We need vitally the perceptive by the first Catholics lived: how the OT integrated with their faith. I am reading again through Hebrews, and I weep. If we do not live what Mosaic priestly and the role of the High Priest meant, how can we comprehend the Majesty of what Jesus is? Thank you. I need more of the roots.

Yes, it is! Leviticus continues the story of the people of God in the desert! We are still in the desert in many ways, and God still asks of us the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!

Leviticus for the child of God who loves the Lord Jesus and what He means to us and does for us and our approach to God through Him, is one of the most important 'type' books in the Bible. The Offerings, the Tabernacle and all that goes on in it and how it is composed, the High Priest, the Levites, and so much more all are fulfilled in our Lord Jesus Christ. Even down the the colour of the curtains. If you have never studied Leviticus, then you have missed out on a 'treasure' in your Bible.

I’m publishing a weekly UA-cam video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you

I loved Leviticus -- people confessing their sins to a priest -- who can be against that? (they had to confess their sin so that the correct and ordained sacrifice be made for their sin)

the three main feasts of Judaism prove that Judaism is not the ultimate religion that God intended, as it would be impossible for all males today to go to Jerusalem for the feasts, even if there was still a temple there, not to mention there wouldn't be enough goats and sheep for the sacrifices, etc. Already in Jesus' time there was an alternate day for the observance, due to the size of the crowds entering jerusalem. This is not to be anti-semitic in a hateful way to which we are all too familiar, rather it is to state just a frank truth about God's plan for salvation that was to have a fulfillment in Jesus Christ, ending, among other things, the rituals required in Judaism up to that time.
