    A little about me...
Hi! My name is Kayla and I currently live in zone 7b. I am married with two kids, an awesome dog, and a cool guinea pig. I work part time while trying to fit in all the rest of my hobbies. I have recently started making macrame wall hangers, plant hangers, keychains, and so much more! I opened an Etsy shop in March 2021 and also have an Instagram page dedicated to my art! Of course I have one for my plants also. (; I would love for you to join the family and become a Planty Pal!
    Xx- Kayla

I giggled so much during this video. I would have totally freaked out at the millipedes too. Interestingly, centipedes (that look like millipedes) are beneficial bugs and I wonder if the nursery released them to control the mealy bug infestation.
I LOVE my purple Oxalis Trianguilaris (it's a frequent visitor on my insta account). The bulbs you see are rhizomes and you propagate by separating the new rhizomes and planting (just like you did) or you can actually cut them in half and replant. I frequently cut my plant down to the soil (I just did this a week ago because she was growing too leggy). They grow back super quickly (6 days and I had 6 brand new leaves). The new growth is shorter and looks more like a bouquet. GREAT plant to experiment with. Remember it will go dormant in the winter but start growing again in the spring once you water (lots of people throw them out thinking they are dead).
    Great video!

I’m glad it made you laugh! And I once had a millipede infestation in my house! 😱 maybe these were centipedes who knows hahaha I wasn’t trying to look too close to find out but they were definitely in the pede family! 🤣
Also I do realize these go dormant so I don’t plant on throwing it away hahaha and omg my purple one was getting SOOOO leggy! I hadn’t tried cutting it back so much not realizing it would come back so quick! I’m always picking dead or dying leaves off and always seeing new growth!
Also that is so cool about the bulbs being able to be cut in half! I planted some outside to acclimate to that weather and then I have the rest indoors! 🤩
It’s definitely a fun plant to play with and I almost sold them and I’m so glad I decided not to!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I loveeee making people laugh and smile so that’s definitely a goal of mine is to show more of my personality the more I get used to the camera! 🥰 thank you so much for watching and giving me all the helpful tips! 💚💚💚

I have a purple one and my green one is different from yours - I have an Iron Cross. It has a gorgeous purple on the inside center of green leaf with pretty pink flowers. That one goes dormant for three months. I cut it down and keep it in total darkness January, February and March and then bring it back out April 1st.
It’s such a beautiful plant but it definitely needs frequent watering!!
The bugs were gross but better those then pests that destroy the plants!! Thank you for sharing!! 💜

Is this just regular potting soil ?

It’s a mix of soil, orchid bark, perlite, worm castings, and I think that’s about it. Maybe a few other added nutrients
