Definitely found this video helpful as I put together my R3 pro. Only thing is I oriented my esc differently but everything went together amazingly. Thanks!
Hi I just got a snrc r3g It is easier to take out the 5 screws that hold the motor mount in then attach motor and pinion to the mount .Then put motor and mount and pinion back in 5 screws .
Nice video ! How about driving and maintenance? Did you ever encounter issue with frequently breaking belt? I have one, cool, the only complaint is the motor mount - the top 4 screws are way too close so when belt carries small rock or grit into spur gear it cannot get out thus being stuck and destroy belt easily. Tension adjustment does not help.
Only had chance to run it a few times so far, 1st run front hub broken on a impact with the track barrier, 2nd run front arm broke with impact with track barrier, and it's very under geared with the stock spur but does driver very nice so I'll have to see, spare parts are crazy cheap and very easy to get too from AliExpress
hello, did you install the sway bars, might have missed it, it looks like the front sway bars will hit the drive shafts, did you install it over or under the drive shafts?
Hi sorry it took so long for me to reply I had to check the manual the stock parts are the steel gears 990110-f and the option parts are alloy 990110-al :)
Ive been thinking about getting one of these for club racing. Only issue im seeing is how the motor mount only allows for scres that are at the bottom? The motor our club runs with is G27 brushed. That motor only has screw holes that are opposite sides. Would it be possible to mount this motor or not?
Thanks for this video! I have same chassis and i bought for upgrade fron suspension this parts: SNRC 929058 (multi link suspension like x4 or awesomatix triangle) And after one stage in my city (TC10 17.5) i found very serious trouble with steering: after light crash turnbuckle get out from ball end's and after 2-3 collisions modells pulls to the left or right side. (i will test with yokomo ball ends, i bought for yokomo yd2 and try it out on weekend maybe its help) And if you can please tell about setup front suspesion arms/shock absorbers idk how to win this puzzle. Thanks and my best wishes!
Having only driven it in a few races it's been great so far, I haven't changed any of the setup apart from making sure it's all assembled correct. I'm still trying different setups
Hey there. What 25T servo horn do you recommend for this car? I just received my R3 Pro but it only came with the 23T servo horn and my savox servo is a 25T. Keen for your suggestion, hoping to get in some driving this week! Thanks!!
hello brother I see you installed the reciever that has the auto steer function to straighten it out if it spins out, forgive me for not remembering whats its called, but does it make a huge difference having that function?
All I have done is set it up using the set up station and got some spare front hubs as one got broken in a very fast crash with another RC that had spun and was driving the wrong direction on the track, does drive really good though :)

Glad it was useful for ya :)
I just got same roller and motor/esc set up today in the mail. Thanks for the video about installing the motor and pinion. 🤦♂️
Seems to work well together :)

Yeh swapped it at the track and found if you back the motor screws almost all the way you can just remove the pinion and swap in the new one :)
that does look a really nice chassis mate saw it when you were down at rd models , cool video 😎
Yeh drives really nice too
Can you adjust the battery clamps to accomodate shorty packs?

I'm not running the sway bars on mine yet
Is there any place that sells this in kit form? Or is it only available pre-assembled?
I would think AliExpress is more likely to have em
Hi, what dual lock have you use for the ESC?
3m but it only works for lighter esc's anything heavy and it will fly out on an impact :)
Do you know if the diff has steel gears or aluminum? I don’t want to buy the gears if I don’t need to

@@WTFRCCars thank you so much!
@MrNascarfan1 no worries 😁

It's always possible to make a motor fit it's just going to take a bit of work as this like all touring cars is supposed to run a brushless system :)
This is what you will need, we use tamiya torque tuned at track I race and everyone has this.
It never sent but the yeah racing brushed motor mount

Why not remove the top deck when installing motor
It would still get stuck in the lower alloy part I've tried it :(

Any of the alloy ones work some people say only to use a servo saver but I've not had any issues not running one
@@WTFRCCars thanks I see that Amain has the protek aluminum horns available. I’m guessing those will work ?
Yep any with multiple holes for the arm should work or the adjustable ones even better
@@duffyrideswhat servo horn did you get? did it fit? if so please share a link
It's still running the arrowmax but I'm not impressed with it as the screw is crap and won't tighten the clamp up

Inr4 GYB but you can't run the stability control in any race they are not allowed
I hear X-ray t4 arms and hubs fit
Interesting.
Do you have the part # for them? I want to get it so I feel more secure of them not breaking
does it have a servo saver?
No I've not yet for a touring car that does
