Another reason why some folks choose the Bent Tree West and Bent Tree North neighborhoods along Frankford Rd south of PGBT is that they are closer to Dallas' best private schools than the rest of Plano. So, even though PISD is a much better public school district than DISD, some parents in Bent Tree West and Bent Tree North still prefer to send their kids to private schools that are 5 minutes south of Frankford Rd in the Addison/Farmers Branch area. These include Trinity Christian Academy, Greenhill School, and Westwood School. Another 5 minutes (south or east) from there are Hockaday School, St. Mark's School, Dallas International School Mission Laïque Française, Levine Academy, and Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. So, if you are inclined toward private education for your kids, being south of President George Bush Turnpike may be better for daily commuting with the kids. NOTE: the Bent Tree proper area (homes are easily $1 million and up) that surrounds the Bent Tree Country Club is in the Dallas Independent School District, not Plano Independent School District. So, without a good option for public schools, upwards of 95% of Bent Tree proper residents send their kids to private schools.
