Unbelievable. This lead singer and Beth Hart. The two most talented in music today and possibly forever. Very few give me goosebumps. This guy is amazing.
Fantastic. ...just heard Ty live tonight and then found this it made the hairs on my arms and the back of my neck stand on end....Wow what a voice and what a guitar solo....this track has got soul and blues embedded in it from the first note to the last....I am now a fan.
Aside from this song being one of the sickest live vocals I've ever heard, just listen to 3:02 to 3:10... I've been a lead singer for over 15 years, and that 8 seconds is so crazy brilliant that it makes me want to give up because I'm never going to top that, let alone replicate it.
You should check out JD McPherson and James Hunter, both excellent solo artists with great backing bands, still playing great Blues, Rock and Soul. Along with Vintage Trouble, they make up what seem to me the greatest modern musicians there are.
There's a bit of delay going on and he uses an octave fuzz at around 4:20, but the more pronounced effect (starting around 4:48) sounds like a vibe pedal with the speed set fairly high, like a Rotovibe or something like that.
Going to be hard to come by, you could try techniques to remove the vocals, but I don't think anyone has the multi-tracks to make an instrumental version
absolutely. check out 6:20 to 6:35 too. its disgusting how this man can be so good. almost as disgusting as the fact that this group, fronted by God himself, is not tearing up every radio station on the planet. talent like that needs to be in Detroit about 40 years ago. not 20 fucking 12. it's so disheartening to musicians to see guys like this shunned by the major consumer market
The guitarist, during the solo. is screaming: "Yeaaah!" at the end of every guitar licks ( star at 4:53 ) like if he' s having sex whit his instrument..
kev wiltshire Maybe I should have been more concise in my comments, but I responded how I did to my first impressions. I read some of the bands history and I feel somewhat vindified - the band is built on high concept and style. they sold it in Europe first to give it authenticity here. it's all very shrewd, and the thing to do if your goal is to make a successful band. I am a bigger fan of the make music for the sake of music school though I actually dig their sound, if doesn't seem too complex for some - great musicians, great sound. it just feels too slick for me. the moves the overall look, their marketing, etc. I don't like feeling I'm being sold on some thing. So, meh. that ruins it for me. by the way - this is not an R&B or soul band by any stretch, they are blues rock. enjoy.
I'm back after 10 years of seeing this , still gives me chills. Now that's music my friend
yes. this is precious.
This is what music should always sound like!!!!!
Amen brother
OK...that just convinced me they are the best "new" band going on today. If they don't break out in a big way, all hope is lost.
Unbelievable. This lead singer and Beth Hart. The two most talented in music today and possibly forever. Very few give me goosebumps. This guy is amazing.
So very brilliant, a mix of Otis Redding and Free and so fine at that.
And a bit of Zeppelin too

Of the 36,763 plays this has so far, 30,000 of them are mine.
This is superb. They give everything of themselves and every time they perform. Actually this isn't a performance at all, it's so very real.
I love this song!! Outstanding song writing, vocals and love the guitar in this song! I can listen to it over and over. It's got it all. Great job!

exactly. it helps that the music is rock n' roll.

check out the rival sons. and the temperance movement. BADASS singers...
A good magician never reveals how his tricks are done.
this is fucking awesome good!!!
@Chickstr1 Sick indeed! Dayum!
When I grow up, I'm gonna marry all four of these guys...maybe marry Ty twice.
It isn't my type of music but I like it.
Zero dislike.
I'm the 1st person to comment on this! Yeah for me!!!
If I was a film crew I would just designate one of the cameramen as the solo guitar shot and he can't look away until he's done.
Does anyone know where I might get an instrumental copy of Run Outta you by any chance? The internet is denying me.
Going to be hard to come by, you could try techniques to remove the vocals, but I don't think anyone has the multi-tracks to make an instrumental version
Unreal...Led Zeppelin eat your heart out
Imagine Sam Cooke or Otis Redding in a band with Jimi Hendrix as guitar itd be something like this
3:00 - 3:10 O.M.G...
saw them at the fucking who concert man fuck great man
I hear some Mr Page!
absolutely. check out 6:20 to 6:35 too. its disgusting how this man can be so good. almost as disgusting as the fact that this group, fronted by God himself, is not tearing up every radio station on the planet. talent like that needs to be in Detroit about 40 years ago. not 20 fucking 12. it's so disheartening to musicians to see guys like this shunned by the major consumer market
this guy is the jimi hendrix of vocals
@rmccaw7 I think the reason they try to stay away from the major consumer market is so that they can retain their artistic integrity.
Its a chorus effect no doubt
Are the drummer and guitar player related?!
This song is perfect the way it is! Please, no horns!
I have yet to see a video of these guys that is not outstanding.
hahahahhahahaah indeed
and a flanger.... definately a flanger effect in there
The guitarist, during the solo. is screaming: "Yeaaah!" at the end of every guitar licks ( star at 4:53 ) like if he' s having sex whit his instrument..
Um, yeah. Any one of guys think you can pick my jaw up off the ground for me? I've just been hit in the face with something real, and I can't move
wow! This singer is not from this time! Some keyboards or horns would help a lot in this tune
Too much concept. its like they're trying too hard to be a hip band. a very good band, no doubt. but it just feels forced to me.
Are you for real ... these guys rock and this track is awesome
I cannot possibly agree with you. That is not forced, that is powered by passion!
