I have watched enough vidios of this pass.. and well thats good enough for me .. have at it .. but for me ill just sit back and watch some vidios .. my heart cant take that much adrenaline.. ill stay the hell off that mountain
Woooooo those steps are no joke. A little bit of momentum goes a long way on those lose rocks. A bit different then the sand down by you huh? Nice ride man!
Man too bad I missed black bear! Next time you get out this way we are going to have to get Hermit out and do some riding. I had a blast riding with you up Kite Lake.
I was at that event, riding the black KLR. I know you've spent a lot of time on a WR450F, what do you think about it as far as a light dual sport, for touring and trails? It has a bad reputation for longevity and other things, and I'd like to hear your opinion. If you'd suggest another 450-ish lightweight bike for longer road travel, with some trails mixed in, what would you recommend?
I have never had any engine problems with the WR450F. I now also have a Honda CRF450L that i like. the FI is nice for altitude change and fuel economy.
My god, man up..Black Bear Pass is nothing like all these click bait channels profess..It's harder in a Jeep..If your riding a mid size bike and have a few years riding enduro, its not anything like all these out of towners proclaim..Lots of inexperience in these vids..

Nice riding Dr.D. Great views too.
Black Bear Pass - looks like it gets your attention! Beautiful scenery and an excuse to keep it mellow on the descent!
Enjoyed it look like fun
The Dr returns!!

Id consider walking but even then im sure i still wouldnt want to be risking my life just for a thrill..
Plum crazy that was a purple color paint .. fkin nuts is more like it..
Night and day difference with the rekluse
Did you do anything to the CRF450L to smooth out the low throttle ride-ability? Mine is too hurky jerky stumble and lurch for Black Bear.
I added the Rekluse which helps a lot.

I was just a dualsport event in Pa. and I thought there was some steep drops next to the trail ,then I look at this! How is the 450 treating you Dr.?
