On September 23, on the solo concert of Dimash in Almaty we saw the premiere of his song "The Story of One Sky". On September 24, at the artist's fan meeting, the audience saw the clip of this composition for the first time.
Dimash Qudaibergen’s 12-minute work is dedicated to the unity of people on our planet. We are all divided into races, nations and religions, but we are all children of one planet and live under one sky. Life is the highest value.
No sacred book calls for the destruction of people. We must learn to be friends; it is impossible for a few adults to cause millions of children to suffer. The future of our planet, the future of people is in our hands, let there be peace in the world.

We’re Choosing Life!
I just can’t watch this without crying. Such an important message. It makes me love Dimash even more that he is using his platform to try to bring everyone a message of peace.
The quote at the end of the video is from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both at the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana, Kazakhstan. Dimash worked on the music and the video script for the last 3 years. There are several symbols that he put in the video, and I listed as many as I could below - pendant, Waldenberg, "Imagine", character at the end etc. :
- the pendant - it`s the needle, gnomon, of a maritime compass - a symbol for the moral compass or for "following the light". Dimash the child puts on his first, then he gifts one to each of his friends. The second boy never accepts the pendant ; Then the camera focuses on his hand, showing us that he has bent it in his fist in anger that the girl didn`t choose him - bent, the blade is unable to point to True North anymore, a symbol of him losing his moral compass. Throughout his life, he never puts it around his neck, he always keeps it in his fist, bent, as a symbol of holding on to resent, accumulating resent, which will alter his judgement.
As an adult, he becomes the Antagonist, the General, with a twisted idea of a "saving war" : “Only war will lead us to peace ; We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us ; The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War is the way to unite people.”
The shape of the pendant, twisted, and missing the hole for the light, also appears on the uniforms of his soldiers.
- Dimash and the girl, adults, are husband and wife, they have a daughter, and the wife is pregnant with their second child. Dimash`s character, the Protagonist, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his daughter
- "we have passed the moment of *Imagine* " - reference to John Lennon`s song "Imagine" - we are past the moment when we could afford passively "imagining" a world of peace, with no divisions, "night is falling, fate is tightening the noose", our wrong decisions are catching up to us - and we have to actively change our way of doing things, starting with ourselves, and not passively "imagining a better world"
- the burning sign *Waldenberg* - is a reference to the end of World War II when the US Army destroyed the last resistance of the German Wehrmacht to end the war in 1945. The city Waldenberg was completely destroyed. Many of the people killed in the bombed buildings were women and children. Evil was defeated, but at a very high price
- the pilgrim falling (pilgrims who symbolize the spiritual journey of humanity) : at the moment when Dimash finds his daughter killed - the moment of danger of losing faith along the path, due to pain experienced in life. Or a symbol for one who has lost their way so much that ends up leading people to war, like the general. Regardless, the other pilgrims, humanity, pray for him.
- "Adam kerwen ömir jol" - the phrase in growl register, while Dimash kneels and hugs his daughter that was killed : "Life of Man is long and dangerous journey, one must be careful" (with the choices he makes) - I believe the meaning of this kazakh proverb, and it`s placement in the video, highlight once again the importance of choices and their consequences - marking the most difficult moment of the video : the discovery of the innocent child that was killed = the darkest misery of war, everybody lost, including the resistance against the dictator, that was doing the right thing, but way too late, at the point when everybody loses. (at the point of self defense, when non-aggressors have to choose aggression themselves, and nobody comes out of it unscathed) Leaving no room for "glory for the good guys", like movies sometimes do. Death of a child speaks loud and clear that no one is the winner in something that lead to the death of a child. A second meaning of the placement of the phrase, and a harder one : on the verge of his heart stirring with the most grueling pain, the phrase almost sounds like the voice of God Himself, warning him about the decision of revenge that his heart is about to make
- the *shofar* - the horn that is blown by one of the pilgrims - The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humanity when it passes from evil to good: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and thus mercy is awakened and judgment is removed (youtube user : Heiderose Kober)
In the face of the consequences of their wrong choices (after the darkest moment of discovering the little girl killed) people repent, the pilgrim in the symbolical parallel blows the shofar, and God`s mercy pours over humanity, and assists the woman giving birth, giving Man yet another chance at new life, and better choices.
- the storm - the old way of "an eye for an eye" and it`s toll on the human soul is reflected by the storm that threatens to scatter the pilgrims and slows down their ascent, with the strong wind blowing in their face, and with the fog that clouds their vision - at the moment when Dimash kills the General in revenge for his daughter
- the child born receives the pendant (compass) around his neck after Dimash`s conscience, in one final scream, "chooses life", despite all the violence, intentional and non-intentional, his character ultimately holds on to the decision that life is most precious.
- Dimash's "son" played by Dimash : can represent both Dimash`s son, a new generation, a new chance to choose the right path, and also Man, after "choosing life", after breaking the cycle, after being bathed, or "baptized", in the primordial water of Mercy - expressed visually by the shirt, that looks like it was soaked in water at some point - the faint stain of blood shows that, and also represents the faint mark of the past, when all the choices, of the "bad" people, and of the "good" people, the aggression, and the self-defense against aggression, it all lead to everyone getting hurt. The character walking in front at the end is a symbol of the one who has accumulated scars of the questionable choices, but has ultimately "chosen life" (decided that life is most precious, valuable) which can strengthen the resolve to stay on the path for the others less experienced. And he can also be a symbol of a next generation that has learned from the scars of the past.
The path proposed is with the pilgrims of all faiths, on the hard road uphill - Love is hard, forgiving is hard, asking for forgiveness is hard, acceptance of the other is hard, refusing the path of retribution is hard. The road is steep, but the soothing breeze of God`s Grace accompanies them. And the light is soft, a gentle sunset light - reminded me of "God walking in the garden (of Eden) at the time of the evening breeze". (Genesis)
After the horror and the pain, that last scene and the resolving chords make that feeling of a gentle breeze (and God`s Grace) so palpable, it`s extraordinary..
For a moment, it reminds palpably to humanity the alternative that is "following the Light".

It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children* "

It all rests upon how we respond to what happens in our life. The choice to resent, to blame, to deny forgiveness always leads to bigger and bigger pain and harm, sooner, or later, in our generation, or the next. And we can always fall prey to the Pipers rising among us, leading us astray by promising some sort of redress for our grievances, or we can even become our own "crazy Piper"

The commander is the young boy who saved "Dimash" He was in love with the girl, if you watch back to the beach scene, you see her refuse his advances and run back to "Dimash" which is why he was hesitant to accept the necklace from "Dimash" The little girl who was murdered, was his daughter. His wife, the young girl from the beach, gave birth to his son as he was murdered. The Dimash you see at the end is his son.

This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life.
Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb)
So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. And so violence is not the way (You can murder the "bad guy" but if everybody thinks that violence is an answer, another "bad guy" will appear for sure.) And then we see that his son made a better decision... His son joins others in seeking peace. That is the final answer.

It's time - long since - to stop allowing the self serving aggressively territorial 'Pipers' to lead us all straight toward the Extinction Cliff. Human beings are supposed to be smarter than this. One of the many things that I got from this is that here you have two men who were best friends as children, with one saving the other's life, and they become enemies in war. War is such a waste of time, money and life. And for what? So someone with a huge, twisted ego can be more powerful? And who pays for this person's ego? The little guy, of course.
You are totally right. For me also is fascinating how he compose this piece and wrote the script of the movie the way it is as the perfect soundtrack. Regarding killing Piper I think was bad thing but only possible to stop the war madness. Also pilgrimers go through the storm then. But the next generation can go united under One Sky in the future.

the film is based on a story written by Dimash with his own screenplay. (I worked on this piece for 3 years). Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. When he becomes a commander, the opponent carries the idea of saving the war: the young boy who presents the tokens of friendship he made will marry the girl (Dimash). She will give birth. If you dident gett some what happend...here are some of how I see it..Dimash was the little boy that was saved and the girl become Dimash wife and there dother that was killed of soldiers from the man that was the boy that saved Dimash. That man was angry and desperat becouse he loved the girl/woman to and she shoose Diamssh! So he started the war in Dimash town do to that. The women giving birth with Dimash and her son died during the birth. There son grow up in the end to unite every human and every religion to a peacefull and loving life. Dimash also sang John lennons "Imadgine" that the time is over for dream about peace we have to act. Think abouth wath we al can do to gett that result in the end. He dosent care of what religon you have back to the text in the end...everyone should acept outhers regrdles of skinn couler, religon or anything els that we today divides people!! Think on how we are actting to outhers, think before you say hurtfull words and try to understand them as a human insteed. Becouse we live on 1 earth and under 1 sky!!!! We are al the same as humans need love and understanding and also lett everyone have there religion. This is Dimash masterpeace and every human should see/hear this!! This is so needed today. (4) The older boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general;
(5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family;
(6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend;
(7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life;
(8) Dimash's wife is welcomed by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special;
(9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place, of tolerance, respect and acceptance.
Great reaction to a great video. Although Dimash kills his friend the general in this video, I don't think Dimash is advocating that we assassinate our leaders when they lead in wrong directions. To me this video shows that the killing of the general only led to the death of Dimash. The song says over and over that when our leaders are failing we stop following them. A leader with no followers isn't a leader any longer. Of course this is not always possible in certain situations, but when possible it should be the preferred action. If we stop following bad leaders when they are at a low level of leadership, perhaps we can stop them from ever having a high level of leadership. I wonder what would have happened if Dimash had spoken to his old friend. If he had shown him how what he was doing was destroying the very people he supposedly wanted to give the world to. Very likely it would have been too late to change his mind, but I still wonder. Sometimes a friend can reach an otherwise unreachable person. 🇨🇦

"Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words. Thank you very much.
We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents.
And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation.
I have not seen how such situations evolved in the past, therefore I don't know what will happen next.
But many people are suffering today because of a few individuals, it's really true.
We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children,
we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children.
They are pure-hearted, kind, friendly, untainted and without egos and their love for people are pure. Young children have such qualities.
I started writing this song I'm about to perform, three years ago.
Generally speaking, my main purpose in writing this work is to call for peace in the world.
It's a small composition that has burst out from deep within my heart.
To tell you truth, many thanks to god and with your wishes I traveled to many parts of the world and met many different people during my tours.

PS: This incredible masterpiece of DQ's was nominated for consideration in the CPIFF in the category of "Stunning Eclectic Mix" and the film festival was held in March in London & while it did not win maybe it our own fault b/c it seems to me that after we all saw the premiere of this MV what did we do? The Dears have helped keep DQ high in the charts of the International Billboard and promote him on their own local radio stations plus the Dears in Mexico has DQ playing on their transit lines like subways and other places. We really should be taking our own individual steps to promote DQ to all outlets any of us can think of. If not enough people know of him, how can they demand he be played, be brought to our towns, be seen in our theaters, etc. We need to be marketing DQ so he gets the accolades he deserves!

My response focuses on a heartbroken, frustrated & downright angry young man's urgent 🆘 message, not the phenomenal vocals he ordinarily is lauded for as this is what Dimash has instructed us to do, as well as, to promote it by sharing it far & wide & no one will not be allowed to react and/or share this one! My understanding is that there will be no blocking by him or his team! If you are blocked please let me know. DQ wants it shared and a global dialogue to ensue on how to establish & keep a "World Without War!"
There's a lot to unpack & dependent upon a person's frame of reference, their interpretation of the video & DQ's message will undoubtedly be colored by their own preconceptions & life experiences, etc. My interpretation of his message this far is as follows:
DQ's phenomenal 9-23-22 Almaty live performance of this composition and this MV are prophetic masterpieces of transcendental pro-planet/antiwar art activism & downright spiritual experiences wherein Dimash issues a sincere, passionate yet, heartbreaking call to action to "learn to love" one another again as we were taught as children & to stop --- all conflicts, all aggression, all wars --- for the real fight before us requires us to unite globally & engage in the fight to save our Mother Earth, "the sacred womb" from which all life sprung!

The verse that states we must "learn to share again the love, not shares" I believe means we must re-learn how to share our love in real time, person-to-person via one-on-one human connection in meaningful ways thru in-person acts of kindness such as compassionately, caring for the actual basic human needs of others or those that are emotional or physical in nature; all of which builds strong friendships, communities, nations and even friendships between nations unlike the superficial virtual "shares" that may be important only to one person's social media status & very well imaginary.
DQ asks us to "learn to live again" as "we have passed the moment of "Imagine" (which is clearly a reference to Lennon's iconic song written of the utopia he dreamed of) & the "world as the feast" I believe means we as a species have caused so much irreparable damage to the planet resulting in droughts & famine that we are long passed former times of plenty & now must work very hard together to overcome our limited, finite resources or "Do we have to starve?" I feel as if DQ is asking us "what's it going to take" for us to "WAKE UP?" Children are (and have long been) dying of famine NOW.
Further, DQ proclaims THIS is OUR LAST CHANCE, and that we must immediately act as there's "not a moment to lose" before either the Earth implodes or some crazed "Pied Piper" releases nuclear Armageddon upon the world!

All I can say for certain is DQ's awesome LIVE and MV performances of this incredible composition of his has created the global dialogue seeking to understand it, each other and ourselves and has done more to promote a culture of tolerance he speaks of in his message at the end of the video than any other artistry I've witnessed in my 64 years of walking the planet! 🌏💚 He's successfully started the convo and it is up to us to keep it going by spreading this video & respectfully engaging with any & all so that we might unite in our common desire for peace under our shared one sky, Dears!
You must watch this MV with an open mind & heart coming from a mindset of love & solidarity. I don't share the majority's view that Dimash survives nor is that his grownup baby born as he died at the end of the video. The video's progression follows the song's & builds in intensity as the pilgrims of all faiths continue their march upwards on a parallel spiritual plane & climaxes as the pilgrims experience a physical struggle with nature in the form of intense storm similar to the spiritual storm DQ experiences with the murder of his beloved daughter that is more than he can bear & his choice to seek revenge against his former friend who had long ago saved his life but who had chosen a dark & evil path. It is only after he has purged his spirit of the desire for revenge & killed his enemy (who had indeed become the enemy of humanity) & then DQ himself was subsequently killed by enemy soldiers did DQ's character's soul scream out from his watery grave that humanity has only one choice and #WeReChoosingLife !!
In death his spirit joins the other spiritual pilgrims in their ascension to the One God we've all worshipped in our own ways through our own religions guided by our own prophets ever since the beginning of Creation. The journey for DQ & his fellow seekers continues on as what appears to be the morning of a hopeful new day is dawning. His infant child remains in the material world left only with his mother's talisman yet grows into a prophet who leads the people to peace, according to the music video's director; a theme that is not in conflict with my understanding of DQ's character's spiritual journey.
Listen as Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian voices intertwine into the One Voice that sings our shared Prayer to the One God. DQs virtuosity is spiritual in nature; he touches souls and changes hearts with his divine vocals.
We must awaken spiritually. We must raise our collective human consciousness, unite, be as ONE --- live and let live --- & understand our shared fate under our shared sky. "Can we balance on the edge of a fiery grave" with all these competing self-interests & is it even possible to save our future on this planet? Heiderose Kober's comment : " This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.
Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers.
Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way.
The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war.
The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against?
The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April 1945. As a native German, I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed out buildings were women and children. The imagery of the denouement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and life are both sacraments and are interwoven. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to revenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffet the pilgrims. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity.
The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.”
Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage,race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect.
Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time.

Dimash's apparently cost $7 million to produce and promotes his message for world peace and humanity acting in harmony; Ren's 'Hi Ren' was done on a shoestring budget and addresses the fact we are all humans and we need to find the harmony between the conflicting forces within each individual.

The live performance where he premiered the music is a shorter by more intense version done at the Almaty concert. He released the video the following week. 👉 That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen.
This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.
Story: The clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character and his 2 friends are linked in eternal friendship through childhood stories and a symbol (necklace).
One day, the friend saves the protagonist when he is drowning. However, there is already competition in this children's story as the boys are in love with the girl and she chooses 'Dimash'.
The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which also served as a sea compass before antiquity. Uniform wearers wear this symbol on their heads. So it can't work.
The second experiences a kind of nervous breakdown and transfers the children's problems into the world of adult totalitarianism and struggle.
By becoming President, the antagonist (Piper - in reference to the 'Pied Piper of Hamelin') carries within himself the idea of a war to save:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We will guide all who are ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no business with us. I choose freedom. The world is open to me and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.”
The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge.
However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace.
A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together.
The words at the end of the video are from the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb, on February 4, 2019. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.

My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. Dimash's unmistakable emotionally charged voice draws you into the video. I was totally hypnotized. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change?

Well, some considerations: (1) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time); (2) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). this is a story about three friends: two boys and a girl, with whom they were obviously in love. The eldest of the boys saves the life of the youngest (Dimash). Dimash, as a sign of friendship, decides to make something of a "pendant of friendship" and gives 1 pendant each to the girl and the friend who saved Dimash. The girl was clearly in love with Dimash and later became his wife (a woman with a pendant). Dimash's friend, the eldest of the boys, becomes a dictator and is the instigator of a war in which Dimash's daughter (a little girl) dies.
Not finding his wife at home, Dimash decided that she, too, had died and was coming to take revenge on the culprit of all her troubles - unfortunately, it turns out to be his former friend, who once saved Dimash's life. And it adds to the drama. At the end of the video, it’s not Dimash, but his son, who was born at the time of Dimash’s death. It is also interesting that the moment of Dimash's return to life (from the water) and the fact that at the moment of death he falls into the water again are interrelated.
