    Let's skip "9" like Microsoft

    • @W4ldgeist
      @W4ldgeist 7 років тому

      Wee'll they've counted wrong from the beginning. Microsoft really skipped a beat. As in: There never were 10 true versions of Windows. There were more iPhones than 10. Counted correctly this would be iPhone 13/14?

    • @dakinthebox8038
      @dakinthebox8038 7 років тому

      if you count since windows 2k, you're right only 9, but the apple comparison i feel is wrong just off the fact they only have 11 versions and that's counting the 3 3s 4 4s etc, which lets be honest was not a big upgrade, it'd be like saying windows home is 1 and windows professional is 2

    • @AiurMedia

      the superstition of 8, many famous composers died after 8th symphony, none completely their 9th, so i guess that's why they all want to skip the 9 and go straight to 10

    Actually, Moore's law states that processors double in the amount of transistors every two years, not speed. Small mistake, big difference.

    • @efferington
      @efferington 7 років тому +2

      Seconding this! Moore's Law means that we might start getting chips with huge core counts, but that doesn't necessarily mean more speed, if a program can't be made to scale across multiple cores and the speed of the cores doesn't increase in subsequent generations.

      Spoiler: He'll say Samsung is awesome and the bees knees. He always does. No matter what. Which is fine, but it's out of the question that he is going to say that.

    • @Duder_abides

      Yeah he's paid by Samsung so I'm sure the review will be entirely unbiased.

    • @HeathroN
      @HeathroN 7 років тому +1

      Well what I think he is going to say, Is that ofcourse Iphone has done some cool things. But they improved things that where already invented. I mean samsung already announced with the Galaxy S8 that next year alot of improvement are coming to Face reconizing. So I still think they are some steps ahead. I mean I love both brands they have done amazing stuff to the smartphone world. And I love how apple improved face reconizing. But it just isn't it...
      (sorry for bad english)

      Since he is a spokesman for Samsung he's kinda legally obliged to praise Samsung devices. I mean can you imagine the backlash he'll get from Samsung if HE says anything implying iPhone is better than the product he's representing.

    That's not what Moore's Law is.
    "Moore's law is the observation that the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years."
    Similar, but not the same as processors doubling in speed every two years. Moore's law also has seen a decline over the past few years, processor manufactures have started to shift away from cramming transistors onto a chip and focused on the efficiency of their processors.

    Thinking about the future of smartphones, the only limit is your imagination. What I'm actually worrying about is the seemingly imminent World War III, now that North Korea's Kim Jong-Un has become more stubborn. If that happens, I still hope it's not, we'll be back into using wig-wag flags for semaphore, smoke signs, and drums for long distance communication, and by long distance it means just about a mile away :D

    The handwritten whiteboards and duct taped phone/hammer bring a little of the vlog feel to this. The story feels more like the vlog to. Wide establishing shots in the intro with Tim Cook, a brief history to explain what has become the status quo, stats tease the ending, then the six year old reinforces the foredrawn conclusion... awesome! Then the question, what comes next, leaves people wanting more.

    Moore's Law doesn't specifically mention "speeds doubling", it only talks about the number of transistors per square inch on an integrated circuit doubling every two years. The speed increase is merely implied

    That Kid is 100% right. Phones will be holographic in the future. An Asian company has been working on a holographic projector. Right now, the graphics look like an 1980's Atari system, and we know how far we have come with video games.

    Actually, that large item (with the carry-pack that you showed) is a "Mobile" phone. People often confuse a "mobile" phone with a"cell" phone. The original mobile phone plugged into the cigarette lighter of your car, because the device was so large that you pretty much kept it in your car (or trunk) all the time and used it mainly in emergencies (carrier fees were very high back then); you didn't carry it around with you because it had no batteries (other than your car battery). The first "Cell" phone looked more like you were talking into a shoe (the pre-flip phone era), and had a battery that allowed you to carry the phone around with you. Thank God we've come along way since then!

    After watching 5-10 iPhone X videos I felt like I am watching one video again and again as every channel is just saying what apple said while announcing the phone, but this video is on different level, great work Beme...👍

    The Reason the face is didn't work at first was because when an iPhone is turned on after being completely off you need to enter a password. Even with the one you have now, after turning it completely off, when you turn it on again you can't use Touch ID
