Let's skip "9" like Microsoft
Wee'll they've counted wrong from the beginning. Microsoft really skipped a beat. As in: There never were 10 true versions of Windows. There were more iPhones than 10. Counted correctly this would be iPhone 13/14?
if you count since windows 2k, you're right only 9, but the apple comparison i feel is wrong just off the fact they only have 11 versions and that's counting the 3 3s 4 4s etc, which lets be honest was not a big upgrade, it'd be like saying windows home is 1 and windows professional is 2
the superstition of 8, many famous composers died after 8th symphony, none completely their 9th, so i guess that's why they all want to skip the 9 and go straight to 10
Companies tend to die after the 9 its doom so always skip the 9th
No, they're skipping nine because seven ate nine.
Jake about to put tech UA-camrs out of a job.
Austin Evans how tf aren't you top comment. I mean I made it in to the video...
hi
iPhone is BEST. they should think abt the notch. Well I feel Face ID is Not secure.
well he pushed casey away..,
I will watch your video and jake's videos so keep your job
haha pushing casey away in that one shot!
Dude I see your comments all the time on andrew's videos xD
Actually, Moore's law states that processors double in the amount of transistors every two years, not speed. Small mistake, big difference.
Seconding this! Moore's Law means that we might start getting chips with huge core counts, but that doesn't necessarily mean more speed, if a program can't be made to scale across multiple cores and the speed of the cores doesn't increase in subsequent generations.
was looking for a comment pointing this out before commenting myself. Pretty poor lack of research for such a basic premise.
Waiting for the Casey Neistat Comparison between Samsung and Apple's latest models!
Spoiler: He'll say Samsung is awesome and the bees knees. He always does. No matter what. Which is fine, but it's out of the question that he is going to say that.
Yeah he's paid by Samsung so I'm sure the review will be entirely unbiased.
Well what I think he is going to say, Is that ofcourse Iphone has done some cool things. But they improved things that where already invented. I mean samsung already announced with the Galaxy S8 that next year alot of improvement are coming to Face reconizing. So I still think they are some steps ahead. I mean I love both brands they have done amazing stuff to the smartphone world. And I love how apple improved face reconizing. But it just isn't it...
(sorry for bad english)
Since he is a spokesman for Samsung he's kinda legally obliged to praise Samsung devices. I mean can you imagine the backlash he'll get from Samsung if HE says anything implying iPhone is better than the product he's representing.
Peter Day Samsung has the largest market share on mobile world wide. Deal with the fact you will hear about a majority
Holy cow Beme team you guys blasted this out. Loved the transitions and format lot of punch.
I hated it. I'd rather have a more traditional news style. This felt really amature.
Nathan Rice yeah but that is the point right? Non traditional news! I hear ya though formatting the right feel is a fine line business.
Jonaven They had already produced most of the video and just filmed the start bit after the Apple event :)
David Pierson no doubt still will be one of the first tagged in the algorithm. Viral engine ahoy Casey Viral king of UA-cam.
I wouldn't be surprised if much of this was filmed and edited before the event took place today. Much of the content in this video could have been researched and shot before today. If it was all done today however, that's quite impressive.
This is literally v-sauce 3
Michael's flow's been jacked.
Who is this guy? Love him!!! They should make him the main anchor!!
Yan Thériault Jake Roper from Vsauce3,. head of production at Beme
i disagree with this i dont like the way he acts excited about the stuff that is not exciting at all like the common sense facts and emphasizes in the wrong words of his script
Yan Thériault how do you not know vsauce's Jake Roper. seriously get some vsauce in your life all 3 channels are amazing and scientific/philosophical
Will do. I'm an old fart. I don't know all these people!! LOLL
Looks like he needs a shower.
"It's as easy as swipping up.... let's try that again" 😂😂😂
cannibalism?
That's not what Moore's Law is.
"Moore's law is the observation that the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years."
Similar, but not the same as processors doubling in speed every two years. Moore's law also has seen a decline over the past few years, processor manufactures have started to shift away from cramming transistors onto a chip and focused on the efficiency of their processors.
If you want to make a video accessible to everyone, this is the kind of simplifying that does not distort the message too much and makes sure everyone can understand
This is by far one of the best videos from Beme. The timing of the video, the script and the editing all was just impressive.
These kind of topics modern culture, trending news, etc are more fun to watch. Great work Beme!
Jake! You keep on Jake-ing! Love Casey, I really do, but this is Jake's realm. Freaking love it guys!
You recorded and edited that pretty fast!
they recorded and edited the entire thing minus the first 30 seconds days or even weeks ago. Then added todays event to make it seem like they recorded the whole thing today. Either way, fantastic video!!!
jeff shein yep, that's what I thought, but they need to be able to create videos like this daily if they want to hit their (I think it was) 5 videos a week mark :D
Sorry about the edit, it's 4:40 am here :D
This is one of those videos they recorded before launching Beme....you can tell because they are using the mic in the frame look to sell the idea of a low budget haphazard operation....costs them a few million to gear up for low budget look
Vsauce and Vice mix together
Anyone else fall in love with the absolutely stunning beauty in the first panels video?
Good vid guys, this is more like it. Good stuff. ❤
GetShotNL the video is 6 mins long and u posted this 3 mins after the vid dropped lol
Yeah, im fast as fuckboii
This was one of the best news stories on this so far.
thought I was watching a Vsauce vid
Viro Science same 😂
Damn - really starting to churn up the content! Love it!
Thinking about the future of smartphones, the only limit is your imagination. What I'm actually worrying about is the seemingly imminent World War III, now that North Korea's Kim Jong-Un has become more stubborn. If that happens, I still hope it's not, we'll be back into using wig-wag flags for semaphore, smoke signs, and drums for long distance communication, and by long distance it means just about a mile away :D
Yeah, and it would be lucky enough if we'd be able to use morse code lol
Don't forget signal lamps for night time communication hahaha
World War 3 is not imminent. It's possible but it could be prevented/avoided thru "communication".
Sancho McAdams What's ironic is that most wars were ignited by miscommunication or wrong way of spreading information. Nowadays, this kind of stupidity happens again.
Tony Stark's cellphone, that's the future of smartphones, but also his weapons of mass destruction.
I like Jake hosting beme he not only talks about the subject but he makes a mini movie out of it, keep up the good work!
Great video guys!
I really like this new format and editing, it seems very professional. Beme's getting better.
why am i getting mad vsauce vibes
Just a note, t9 refered to "smart texting" where you didn't have to cycle through an individual button multiple times, but rather the phoen would try to figure out the most likely word based on the combination of numbers you hit. But I get what you mean.
Great stuff, so enthralled of what's to come from BEME
The uniqueness Casey brought to UA-cam and vlogging, evolves, simply BRILLIANT
I'm 35 so kind of well placed to have seen the full transition... But even though I can remember a time when we didn't have mobile phones like it was only yesterday, it's still easy to forget how quickly things have changed! Who knows where we'll be in 10 years time!?
Anyone else super underwhelmed by the iPhone X?
Daley. Apart from the apple watch having cellular there was nothing new at all
Daley it's been leaked forever and every Android this year has all the features before the iPhone X. That's probably why we feel that way.
what did you expect or want from a phone which is possible today?
Yeh it's basically an ugly S8 but way more expensive.
I'm super underwhelmed by Apple. I love what the company used to be but it's all so stagnant now, everyone on that keynote today sounded so robotic, so unconvinced by their own product. As someone who's been on iPhones forever, these last few months were the first where I've genuinely felt the need to look for an alternative.
Apple's creativity died with Steve.
Didn't expect jake to narrate this vid
Get out Casey 😂
Beme News is the change-up in newscasting that will work its way past the increasing desensitization to traditional news outlets. It's a fresh, trustworthy style that I really enjoy and think others will too. Keep up the awesome work guys / gals.
please explain your shirt
lol I kept wondering myself what it is implying.
Lizzy van Vleuten Its Dean dobbs Merc of jack and Dean fame
Irony. Irony explain much everything in our era.
Zombies.
Oh Beme ... how do you know that we thought you were lazy?
So you have just shown a lot of responsiveness.
That's a smart move.
We love.
Bravo
Loved it
This was a very good one, really enjoyed this!
The quickness, variation in shots and switching between talking and third party shots was on point.
Also like the little mix with personal stories, like his daughter is making another phone call gesture nowadays.
Beme, did a good job.
Love it
This was the best episode! Love that dynamic cut. I recently had to switch to my old phone Sony Ericsson w810i and that baby was still working like new! I feel old...
DOPE Video as always.
The overexposure on the table is a bit rough to look at, but great content and engaging relay of that content. Can't wait till you guys are running at full steam! Keep it up!
What's so special about the new iPhone I can't find anything really new and interesting
Darren Mclarnon apple finally caught up
thats basically the quote every time they release a new phone, nothing new, more items everyone else already had added into the new phone. then they say it's "revolutionary". like yeah apple we get it you can read samsung's update lists from a few years ago
Literally nothing. Fuck em.
Any thoughts on the new phone John Sculley has been working on ? Apple won't last another decade with prices that don't match up with the mobiles they make, mass consumers of these mobiles don't care about the geeky side of things let's be real about that!
Dunno, haven't heard about that in a while. Truthfully though I don't see how John Scully is supposed to have any more of an edge, way too much of a business guy to bring anything new to the table from what I've heard about him.
this format of beme news is the best so far
Really enjoying this channel. Informative, but not without humor.
Im starting to belive in this project of bemeNews. This is the way guys great work!
Why don't yall have a better background??
I bought a dedicated GPS for my car 2-3 years ago as a Christmas present to myself. It's still great, I get the lifetime maps update too.
1:40 he is right android is a better operating system and samsung makes better hardware. The perfect phone: a samsung galaxy which has of course android on it
Wrong, but okay.
Bullcrap
HAHAAH love the troll at the end.
Sorry... what was the point of that Video?
Rich mitchell I feel as if I'm getting a pretty pointless history lesson.
id say rewatch...but you couldn't even make it through the first 6 minutes, so i doubt the second time will change anything
To show how our use and perceptions of technology have changed over time. Didn't think it was that complicated
touche!
Agreed!
Dude, great video! I love the editing.
Eat people?!
Ya, whats up with that?
500$ to 1000$ in 10 years. Great job apple
Sponsored by Samsung.
Nope. And you clearly didn't watch the whole video before posting this stinkpiece.
if you actually watch the whole video til the very end, the last clip.. clearly they couldn't help but showing a sign of "failure" from apple
I mean he's got a point. Casey is a Samsung pitchman. How do we know Beme news isn't bias like Casey?
The handwritten whiteboards and duct taped phone/hammer bring a little of the vlog feel to this. The story feels more like the vlog to. Wide establishing shots in the intro with Tim Cook, a brief history to explain what has become the status quo, stats tease the ending, then the six year old reinforces the foredrawn conclusion... awesome! Then the question, what comes next, leaves people wanting more.
Beme ist still not good: about a C+
As I am a young teenager, the idea of progress in technology excites me! I can't wait to experience whatever is to be brought to the table.
Yes!! More Beme like this!! We all loved Jake's productions with Vsauce and this was very reminiscent and beautifully done. Keep this coming!!
Guys... The VAST MAJORITY of that video was made BEFORE the announcement. They put together just a few shots that were from the reveal into what they had planned out. Not rocket science. Good video though
To be honest this show looked more liked vsauce3 than beme news but I still liked it
Huge fan to see this recap of cell phone history. It's crazy to think back to the first phones. Oh the times have changed.
I LOVE old technology - it inspires me to see how far we have come in so little time... seems like anything is possible!
Another really solid Beme News ep! Hey Casey we love you but your team is shining in these episodes
BEST BEME NEWS SO FAR! LOVE THIS FASTER FORMAT!
Best Beme News vid so far, keep up the good work guys!
Great video guys. Congrats!
Yes, this is the kind of videos we are looking for!
This was the best episode so far. This and the click farms have been my favourite of your episodes.
Well done.
Will share!
Youre making great progress so far. The Videos keep getting better and better
I've been an iPhone user from day 1 but the Note 8 is looking very tempting... 🤔🤔
Love how Beme is evolving from video to video. Keep it up guys the videos are great. This last one has great format and style. I can see this channel exploding!! Also agree with other comments Jake gives the video the character it needs.
This is the real 'Beme News' , Casey wanted to Create, Peace.
This was Beme's best video yet.
Best Beme piece yet...well done
Nice job Beme, hands down best video yet!
I agree with Yan, keep this guy doing the Beme videos. Casey already has his own successful chanel.
Moore's Law doesn't specifically mention "speeds doubling", it only talks about the number of transistors per square inch on an integrated circuit doubling every two years. The speed increase is merely implied
That Kid is 100% right. Phones will be holographic in the future. An Asian company has been working on a holographic projector. Right now, the graphics look like an 1980's Atari system, and we know how far we have come with video games.
Sandro Frias I agree with the kid
Great job Beme News- love the format and thorough research so far!
Best Beme video so far, great job guys.
Actually, that large item (with the carry-pack that you showed) is a "Mobile" phone. People often confuse a "mobile" phone with a"cell" phone. The original mobile phone plugged into the cigarette lighter of your car, because the device was so large that you pretty much kept it in your car (or trunk) all the time and used it mainly in emergencies (carrier fees were very high back then); you didn't carry it around with you because it had no batteries (other than your car battery). The first "Cell" phone looked more like you were talking into a shoe (the pre-flip phone era), and had a battery that allowed you to carry the phone around with you. Thank God we've come along way since then!
Best one yet! great job everyone and great work Jake!!
Best Beme video so far. Excellent work!
After watching 5-10 iPhone X videos I felt like I am watching one video again and again as every channel is just saying what apple said while announcing the phone, but this video is on different level, great work Beme...👍
That wink at the end tho
love the direction the channels going
4:07 literally gave me goosebumps
The Reason the face is didn't work at first was because when an iPhone is turned on after being completely off you need to enter a password. Even with the one you have now, after turning it completely off, when you turn it on again you can't use Touch ID
"Have yourself a wonderful life" maybe be the greatest sign off in news history.
1:39 Ok, that is funny. Nice one, Jake! Enjoying your work with BEME.. keep at it.. Casey' lucky to have snared a UA-camr such as yourself.
I like Jake's enthusiasm.... better than the so "tense" beme pieces.
I still have that first android phone and it still works it's sitting on my shelf. The screen flipped up and you had a keyboard under it. miss having a keyboard.
Jake is a fantastic host for this show. His style is unmatched and unique!
Very informative . Can connect to the nostalgia it brings. Awesome work
This was great. I'm a huge fan of casey, which is why I'm here, but he does a great job with these, Jake is fresh
Casey format's good but need to be stylish. meaning setup, backgrounds and so on.
A definite thumbs up for this video, very well done. Information presented in very nice and visual way, so it's very easy to understand and follow. Excellent video about how phones have transformed.
Thx Beme News, good work Jake, you just made a reaching tool.
Best Beme News yet!
This is a GREAT video (bc combining people from YT that I love is so much fun)
Great progress on the channel! :-) Loving everything you guys are doing and where this is growing towards!
