    FYI --- You can plug the AWUS036H Alfa adapter directly into the Alfa repeater. It does NOT have to be plugged only into your laptop/computer.

    The Alpha repeater can either be connected to your computer via Ethernet cable or done wirelessly

    Good stuff, you definitely know what you're talking about.......thanks! However, one issue to consider is that you and the rest of your neighbors are sharing the same WIFI signal so in the evening, say, typical WIFI slows down because of the sharing! Many camps WIFI isn't the fast to start with. I'm now rethinking this and looking at dedicated hotspots such as the Verizon JetPack with I hear works great if you have a Verizon cell tower to connect to. Plua, the JetPack ain't cheap.

      Hi Eddy, - you are correct on the JetPack being a good option IF you have good cell coverage. The more options the better I say! Thanks for the view/comment.

    Does that Yagi antenna use standard size coax cable? Im thinking about mounting the yagi to our RV tv antenna mast. It raises, rotates and has coax already ran from outside into the triler. Plus we don't use it as is.

    • @LazyDayz316
      @LazyDayz316  6 років тому

      Hi James - No, the cable from the Yagi is not the same size as a standard coax, it is about half the diameter. The cable is a "low loss" cable. You can get it here: amzn.to/2CKom8c Make sure to match up the length and connection type you need.

    What would you say the norm is as far as speed in the parks that you set up in?I know thats a tough question just trying to see if it makes sense.I'm looking to stream dir tv now.

      Rick Strawn - I have only been seeing the 3-5 MB speeds in parks but I have been able to use my Shield to stream TV and Netflix,etc. just fine.

    Hello there,
    Can you please help and tell me if you can please how many meters is the distance that this Antenna hotspot can cover ? I have 2 house but the one is about 300-400 meters from the other. Do you think i can get wi-fi from my one house to the Other.

      I don't think you can get a signal that far, I can't say for sure (the manual doesn't specify how far it will reach) but you can try it and return it if it fails...??

    Great video! I wish you were near Morgantown WV to install mine! I have the 2 parts from Alfa and the Yagi. Just need coax, mounting magnet and pvc pipe.
    Where do you get the mounting clamp? Thanks

    Question: can I use my travel trailers antenna system for hooking up the exterior antenna wires to get them inside the coach? And use the yagi to increase cell strength for data by Bluetooth, where there is no WiFi just 4g?

    • @LazyDayz316
      @LazyDayz316  6 років тому +1

      Claude Taylor - The antenna wires would have to be the same size of your trailer of course, so I can’t say if that would’ve work or not. The Yagi antenna I demo is for WiFi signals only, it will help reach WiFi signals that are farther away and that you typically wouldn’t see. There are some good antenna install videos for RVing, check out the RV Geeks channel, they do great work and show the details.

      @LazyDayz316  6 років тому +1

      Claude Taylor - I should add that there ARE specific 4G antenna that can be used just like a Yagi....they sell them on Amazon and other places I am sure.

      Short answer is NO. You cannot mix antennas. That's why there are a bunch of different looking antennas for each specific application.

    Question, I have a Verizon wifi hotspot box that we take on travel in rv. Can I use this equipment to expand wifi services on campgrounds? I have internet wifi service on my Verizon mobile hotspot box. Thanks

    • @LazyDayz316
      @LazyDayz316  4 роки тому

      The antenna for the system I show picks up WiFi signals, and the hardware used inside the RV distributes the signal. If you are using a Cell hotspot and desire to pick up a weak signal you will need to get an antenna type for a CELL signal, the RV hardware can still distribute the signal inside.

      To set up the device you have to plug it into your PC or laptop network port.

      It seemed to work at our marina the laptop I plugged into the camp pro redirected to the login page I entered the user name and password and it worked I'm not sure what got authorized the repeater or the laptop. If your TV let's say has browser app that would imagine that would work also.

    So obviously the WiFi Camp Pro is only going to work if you already have a signal, but what if you are on the road. How do you find WiFi signals that are not password protected?

    • @LazyDayz316
      @LazyDayz316  3 роки тому +1

      Depending on who you have for internet at home, some carriers have a phone app to assist in finding available hot spots while travelling. There are also apps of another nature for sniffing out open networks....a shady way to do things, but I am sure others do it, I do not.

    It surprises me how many ppl still use how many networks they find as an indication of how well a product is working, it really is a lazy vague way to do things for an otherwise good video. You have to test a network you preferably know the distance of and do a speed test with each unit...Nobody buys something like this to see how many AP's they can find, they want to use the internet and download things.
