I agree with you, but the 80 to 120 (which no one talks about) makes a huge difference for highway driving. The 1L polo does 80-120 in just over 7 seconds, the Polo GTI does it in 4.

At this [polo] price point imagine what a golf Tsi R-line for would cost 🥵 So to avoid the obvious "contradictions" and backlash that's why the decided to do away with the golf. I think it was also on the premise that the polo is one of their best selling cars, so yeah easy way to milk the consumer until blood comes out! 😭😭🚮
It's a lovely-looking car which I enjoyed the review of. I'm in the last year of my 4-year lease of a 2021 POLO SEL and would love another Polo (I've had 2 previously, one was off-lot & the other I "designed" and I've loved them), but I want to get at least what I already have or better, but it's stupid expensive now. Not to mention I prefer manual transmission (I'm in the UK) and I would be forced to downgrade from 110PS to 95. Looking at a T-Cross now, my 1st SUV, which has a lot of the extras I would have added as standard equipment. Shame, as I do love the POLO.

@embakubmotoring you drive with the front passenger seat reclined so far back ? If you do that in any car the leg room in the rear is going to be bad 😂
