35 or so years as a Lion's fan and it still throws me when a pundit says they don't see the Lion's missing the playoffs. Weird. Not wrong, but weird.
I thought it was just me, but those were the clearest words spoken into that mic - almost like the volume was turned up just a little and also there was a faint chorus of angels just in the distance.
As a Browns fan I also feel this way whenever they pick them to do well. I’d much prefer flying under the radar. Anytime there is that added pressure of expectation they fail.
Mike Evans is too classy to go ring chasing. I'd have loved to have him on the Packers, I'm sure any team would've loved to have him, but he's going to remain a Tampa Bay legend forever.
He's not classy if he goes to k.c it's his career and it's a business people don't freak over that like they used to
I really wanted him to come home I'm not gonna lie but I happy with diggs I was not expecting it.
These two talking sports is all I need. No other show is necessary. Rich and Chris are the most level-headed sports talk guys on the planet.

Josh Allen is rated fairly. Top tier quarterback, first ray of hope for Bills fans since Jim Kelly.
Yeah, that seemed like an odd statement, did he get the Brock Purdy treatment where Chris Simms ranked him as the 17th best QB in the league? No, every list I see Allen listed on is either top 5 or top 3.

Well the Bengals missed the playoffs because Burrow had a season ending injury. Unless Jordan Love goes down like Burrow did, I don’t think this is a viable argument. Packers are more likely to reach the Super Bowl than miss the playoffs.

Josh Allen underrated? By what metric? He is like top 5 of every QB rating scheme that has come out this year, and last year, and... How is that UNDER rated?
Because there's a very vocal segment who call him overrated and a turnover machine... Those people are idiots, but they exist.

To push back on the Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown comment, I think Chris forgets that Kelce is gonna get more looks than one of those two receivers this season, so that will knock their Duo numbers down below duos in the league
No one in the league can touch Tua Hill and Waddle!!! That is the trio right there!!! Hill best player in the league and Tua had the most passing yards last season!!! Dolphins make it to the AFC Championship if they stay healthy!!! That chiefs WR duo question was beyond stupid!!!!

Jared Goff is underrated. Everyone outside Detroit still thinks he stinks but he might get to another NFC Title game this year, 3 total.
Every team will put a fast free safety type player who back pedals at first movement on the kick return just to prevent this. Who knows if this will work.
Goff beat Mahomes in Mexico. I will never take him for granted.

@@mikeelton3686 well then good thing for the Lions that he’s gotten good at reading defenses and making quick decisions and that he’s become possibly the best pocket passer in the NFL. You’ll probably just laugh at that last part, but it’s been true for the last 2 seasons. He’s also been the best 4th quarter QB in the NFL 🤷🏼♂️
I think Goff is underrated because he was forced into a bad situation offensively under Fisher, was basically told to shut up and do what he was told under Mcvay and didn't get to grow there, and didn't get to really grow mentally as a QB at the pro level till he ended up in Detroit. I think people underrate how much of a journey he's undergone as a QB under 30 to get to the level he is performing now. He's a much better QB mentally then he was in LA. I do agree with Mike in that getting off script is not his game, but the fact he knows how to play well enough to avoid the need for off script plays is just as hard to do. Too many QB's rely on the playcall or their instincts and aren't able to change one at the behest of the other. He's not my most underrated and I think he's gonna get his proper laurels for taking 2 separate teams to the NFC title game.

I hope no team is truly stupid enough to start a QB just because they paid that QB more. This is a sunk cost fallacy. I guess there is some level of embarrassment for overpaying a player, but is it really worth your team doing worse? I get if it is close, you start the higher paid player, for sure.

I don't think anybody is more criminally underrated than Brock Purdy. Leads the league in almost every category and he still gets less respect thna Rodney Dangerfield

If you look at Deebo's game against the Eagles, he had two TDs that show why he could be a big threat on kickoff returns.
I think we might see discussions about maybe the new kickoff rules are bad during preseason, because defenses won't have any clue what to do against it

2/4 QBs a reasonable over/under. Especially since 2 of said QBs are in the same division making it much less likely both make the playoffs. As for Tua and TLaw, the AFC is tough and both are in tough divisions.

The new kickoff rules are a gimmick in a sport that doesn't need a gimmick. The reason they changed it was because of too many touchbacks/fair catches. If there're a lot of big returns, teams will just start kicking it through the endzone, so you still get a lot of touchbacks but now offenses have 5 less yards to go. The new rules are a flaming bag of dog turds on the NFL's porch, just waiting to be stomped on.

Worthy + Brown statement gotta be an overreaction. Last year in a SB winning year for the Chiefs, Mahomes didn’t turn those receivers into superstars. They were all just serviceable. The team still got it done though. But worthy and brown won’t magically be superstars just because they have Mahomes. He’ll always be the superstar, they likely won’t be

first off I am a cowboys fan but all these people holding out when they are still under contract are just being jerks. negotiate after your contract is expired. You are still under contract, you signed it then play it, if their employers weren't paying them while under contract then they would be jumping up and down. Play the games for what you agreed to play at a certain price and then get a new contract when the current one is over. This isn't just NFL but all the major sports.
