Its the same with me. No matter whatever I try my battery doesn't last more than 5-6 hrs. I also tried fresh install without using smart switch but doesn't work. I guess we should se whether one ui 7 does any magic or not.
@@Xerxies619 I don't use many battery intensive apps. My main apps used are youtube, x, reddit, instagram and whatsapp. But no matter what I try(except power saving which give me around 6.5 hrs SOT) I can't get much battery life outta it.
It's refreshing to hear honest thoughts. Guess it will be one more season of "just wait for 7.x it will be insa...". Zero excuses for Samsung, looking at what competition acomplished.
May not be great for you, but its wonderful for me, 🤣🤣🤣! I have had my s24 ultra 512gb thru t-mobile for 1 year now and still great, i am also running the one ui 7 beta since December 5, 2024. One ui 7 beta 1 received on December 5, 2024, one ui 7 beta 2 received on December 16, 2024 and the one ui 7 beta 3 received on January 5, 2025 and I NEVER had issues! I love it! Can't wait for the stable one ui 7 update!
Samsung really joked this time... please make an update on battery drain and performance once the stable version comes out. i wont update if theres battery drain and stutters. gives me bad flashbacks of my old phone (s21+)
I get 8-10 hours of screen-on time with cellular and regular use on average, Bluetooth on, and adaptive brightness on, and I'm getting a little worried now since this is on the 6.1.1 version. Hope it's similar on 1UI 7 once it releases
Also bad battery life on my S24+ with One UI 7 and some bugs like in the recent apps screen when you want to close them are driving me crazy because they go away for like 10 minutes every 3 days after starting to show up again
I don't know if you remember a comment I made a few months ago about my terrible experience with the s24 ultra overheating just by using UA-cam, well it is still happening and now it also happens by just using Google wallet, yeah those basic apps. More than 6 months later it still happens and of course that means it drains the battery extremely fast, I said I'd switch to my 15 pro max that I've kept as a secondary phone and if android 15 stable doesn't fix any of this I'll consider a new iphone or a different brand like pixel when I upgrade in 2 or 3 years. A phone that costed 1459€ shouldn't have these problems, it's unacceptable
Hi, Velian! S23U user here, I think it's because of the google security patch update, I updated 3 days ago andI couldn't even get 5 hours of screen on time, but I factory reseted my phone and now I am on an older google security patch version and everything works fine
These little on-the-spot tests with your S24U based on one UI 7 daily will allow you to get real feedback from it and compare with the S25U which is coming out soon and which you are going to get, I think it's really good that you share this and it will allow you and will allow us to have points of comparison concerning the daily usage of these 2 . Greetings
Same here, but put your phone on power saving, and it last superwell.. I've been trying to figure out why it sucks when not on power savings It will still drain quickly even if you manually toned down all settings like the power saving does All you got to do is use power savings all day
That's it for me, not paying no more to Samsung each year for the same damn thing. It took them 2years to get to the level of old Poco F3 phone in terms of UI smoothness. What a shame that is for x4 the price. Also my almost 4 years old Poco phone with a 4500mah battery is giving me the exact same SOT as S23U??? And my F3 battery has been beaten a lot with temperature and fast charges to 100%. The random lags of the UI is a problem for 4-5years now, that is pathetic given the raw power we have these days...
This is the case with every single samsung flagship. They perform good with the software version it was shipped with, and as soon as a new S is about to come up, the new OneUI version just destroys the previous flagship. I have stopped updating my Samsung devices along time ago and they perform really well as day one.
Bro I'm so happy to have finally met someone who thinks like me. THIS IS WHAT I SAY. NEVER UPDATE YOUR SAMSUNG PHONE. STICK WITH THE ANDROID VERSION IT CAME WITH!
Yeah, but software that devices are shipped with always has problems (camera issues that need to be fixed, for example). So, one updates phone thinking and expecting it will be better. And it never really does (I've been using Samsung flagships for 7 years straight)
Same i did exactly with my s23 ultra. Battery last 10 hours on screent time and with no lag But after 1 year i decided to start updating. Big mistake, horrible lag and battery only getting 7 hours screen time 😂 We never never learn from our mistakes as we just have to have that update.
When I first got my S24U, I used to get 12 and a half hours of screen time. Now, with the latest version after almost a year of use, I get 8 to 10 hours. I hope it doesn't get worse with the stable One UI 7 update, especially because I can't wait to update.
one ui is still lacking many cool features like quick toggle switch fast charging next to charging pill when put on charger. Also the consistency part is true, its not smooth enough to justify the stature of samsung as company. Camera algorithm needs work
I'm waiting for reviews about battery life and bugs before I update. 6.1 is working really well for me and there isn't much in 7 that tempts me to update on day 1.
The battery life is too bad in beta 3. It was better on the previous beta. Not really happy with samsung since past 2 years. I'm not sure if first stable build is going to fix all the issues as previously with oneui 6 first stable release not all issues were fixed
I also got better experience with beta 2 and 2 somehow but now that I returned 100% to my S24U as a daily daaamn, ita not great for battery and cell reception
I've had zero issues. Battery is actually better and the phone has been working flawlessly with each beta. Sorry for the bad experiences, but its not all bad for those it actually works for. Hope it gets rectified when the official release happenes.
It's sad to hear that. But I'm not surprised. Really. It seems to me that samsung originally wrote their skin crookedly, and now, in order to fix it, they need to rewrite the entire system. I really want to hope so, otherwise samsung employs the stupidest and laziest developers in the world.

Such a bad experience with one ui 7 beta I had to download it on two devices I thought there is something wrong with my phones. Animations are stil shiet fluidty as well. There is no way it will be better on full version of 7 ui. If it's bad on full version i'm buying some Chinese flagship.
