  • Today we will make a basic two-strand bracelet with a strong contrasting weaving strand. The contrasting strand will produce a simple, yet satisfying, pattern. This will open the doorway to create more elaborate designs. Enjoy as we build our two-strand bracelet.

    thank you for showing what can be done with lauhala ,it is in queensland aust but people are scared to use it because of the prickles on it but in the end it is worth the trouble , i have been stuck a couple of times but being stuborn helped ,thanks again

      There are three rows of thorn to watch out for: one along either edge of the leaf and "third" row up the spine of the leaf. You could use an old butter knife of letter opener to run against the middle row of thorns and break them off. I have also used a thick damp rag and wiped the back side of the leaf. It cleans of the sand and dirt while removing the thorns as well. Good luck!!
