I started following your BBR programme 2 yrs ago but didn’t have enough strenght to actually follow so I stopped. Now I try to build the strength foundation for the basic lifts. As a former 7+ yrs gymbro it was actually very though to drop the ego and started doing 6reps of pull-up negative. But now I’m starting to control and own the movements. Really looking forward to start BBR over again 😊

i used inclined curls and afterwards my biceps were toast. next day i was basically disabled. Kept it up and it led to injury that's only just gone away 5 months later. You MUST respect these exercises even if you are strong doing normal curls or the base exercises discussed in this video. The same applies with things like Korean dips, it's no joke just take it easy and dont think because you can do a few reps in relative comfort that your good to crank it up. basically hyper extension.

Arm wrestlers focus should be ring curls because they are superior to barbell curls.
With ring curls it develops that top end locking bicep strength plus has massive carryover to bb curls however bb curls do not have any carryover to ring curls.
Also of you can just get to feet parallel on ring curls you’re already at elite level bicep strength.

I'm curious, why do you suggest eccentric only pelicans as a regression? I think a much better regression is just adjusting the body angle more vertical by having the feet more forward or rings more higher up and doing them normally. As long as the shoulder angle remains the same, it is more or less the same exercise right? And then you can simply progress it by walking the feet back to adjust your body angle to be more horizontal.

    Just asking
How long did it take you to get big bicep like in 2014?
I have been trying negative pelican curl for 4 months. I have noticed better peak at both biceps, but it is not recognizable without touching them
Also, after every "bicep days", my biceps hurt a lot, i have to rest 2-3 days to heal. This make me feel demotivated, i really need a motivation for growing them
    Thanks
