How times change....what came immediately to mind for two of the end-of-show answers were "stranger danger" & "school of rock"....part of the fun of watching these shows now is trying to answer with answers not past the 1970's :-) I was surprised, though, that most of the parting gifts don't seem too dated - w the notable exception of the awesome rotary dial answering machine! (Which of course was cutting edge technology back then :-) Thank you for posting this very enjoyable episode!

The winning contestant was pretty in '77. I wonder what she looks like today. If she just graduated from Univ. of Texas she would've been 22 then, so now she would be 61 years old.

Cause no, what happened and Gene explained this is that he went to say that the "question is as follows" but as he went to say that he started preparing to read the question which had "father" written and he accidentally said father instead of follows. But the fill in the blank question was definitely supposed to be father and blank
