I hope this game does well, my biggest problem with overwatch is the counterpicking, say what you want about counterpicking, but i think we can all agree that it just sucks not being able to play your favorite character just cause someone on the other team switched after 1 bad teamfight.
@@NingenjaNaiSaikou yeah fk one tricks, selfish uneducate peoples! Also, with any character one trick u can climb top 500 but fk one tricks taking hostage the game
I think counterpicking becomes more of a thing once the metas start to get defined. Overwatch 1 never had any real meta or counterpicking way back in 2016 aside from having to pick against Pharah.
looking forward to it, the game looks like a lot of fun but let’s be realistic it is netease so it will be as money grabby as overwatch or even more not getting my hopes up in terms of the devs not being greedy
I'm sorry, but I think it's going to be the same thing with Rivals. People said it would be different about Splitgate, that Shatterline would be huge, Hawked was going to be the next big game, etc etc etc. I don't see any reason why Rivals won't have the same downfall. Also I disagree about Finals, I think that game is doing fine, it has a pretty stable playerbase now, although a lot smaller than when it peaked. It gets at least 10k concurrent on average. Also XDefiant is not out yet, although I would probably agree that it will suffer a similar fate. We'll see though, I did enjoy my time playing that game. Just looking at twitch numbers, Rivals doesn't even come close to the amount of hype many of the above listed games reached. Obviously twitch numbers isn't a great metric, but I think it can generally be used to measure the excitement around a game. Drops skew the data though of course.
Not only that, i think it's wild to say The Finals and Gigantic are games that were made to fail and had nothing planned. The finals is a game that actually stands out in the middle of team based class shooters, it's not comparable and Gigantic is a game that actually got revived thanks to a very dedicated small development team with a alot of passion. I'm willing to bet he never even touched gigantic. It's so insane to me to put those 2 games down in particular, all while praising a netease game with bootleg overwatch characters, wherein every single piece discussion surrounding the game is if it's the "overwatch killer". Like the foundation of the game doesn't look at all like overwatch to me, it unironically looks like a compilation of the hundred of failed third person character action/shooter games like Bleeding Edge, spellbreak, etc...
Looking at twitch numbers for this game won't tell much cuz only the content creators who got this game and streamers who got lucky with a code will be streaming it
Marvel already has an established fanbase though? The games you mentioned are fresh IPs so it's harder for the public to get interested if they don't advertise alot. And considering that the OW community is divided by the format preference, 6v6 enjoyers like myself would go for this game not unless blizzard goes back to 6v6.
@@jj4cx423this game looks fun but it doesn’t really feel like overwatch esp being 3rd person, so i don’t see how a 6v6er would see this game as an alternative to overwatch but if you see it as that, that’s great personally i think 6v6ers just want to play another game that’s not ow
@@TheAlreadybeentaken OW isn't a pure shooter as it has alot of team fighting, ability combos and characters that require no aim. 5v5 caters to those who definitely just wanna shoot with less emphasis on macro play (it's an FPS afterall). Rivals is like paragon + OW but marvel characters, it leans more to how MOBAs are designed. That being said, the teamplay feel of 6v6 is what I miss and this game offers that. So I really hope it does well.
I like Overwatch and i would love new game like it, since Blizz cant seem to get their sh*t together to do something with this ip... but Marvel Rivals aint it. The second i saw the trailer and a few seconds of gameplay, i knew it will be bad... it looks extremly floaty and clunky, badly opimised, like they ported a smartphone game to pc. And even if they optimise it to a godtier feeling gameplay, it stil is a netease game, wich mean monetization-hell... multiple battlepasses/rewardtracks/loginbonus, 10-30 different resources and re-colored shopskins that are priced like a gucci-bag... not to mention the possibility of pay-to-win
I'm sorry but no. Won't even continue watching. The Finals and Gigantic actually have a dedicated community and a development team with fresh ideas, those games are actually kinda refreshing and the basis of discussion surrounding those games have never about how they are the "Xgame killer" or how similiar they are to x. Honestly this game is dead on arrival just like the thousands of like "bleeding edge, monday night combat, battleborn, gotham city imposters, spellbreak, rogue company, knockout city, Loadout etc...etc..." the only third person multiplayer shooter that survived is fortnite and like trash games like free fire. Nobody gives a shit about third person shooters, they will play smite 2 or gigantic. And not have to worry about a net ease mobile game with bootleg overwatch characters in Marvel skins.

Also sucks when one player is holding the whole game hostage, and then whines when someone "counterpicks"
@NingenjaNaiSaikou that's fair too, I hate counterpicking but I understand that's its a necessary evil due to how overwatch is balanced.
@@NingenjaNaiSaikou yeah fk one tricks, selfish uneducate peoples! Also, with any character one trick u can climb top 500 but fk one tricks taking hostage the game
i’m worried about the team attacks forcing people to have to limit their hero picks to something based off what a teammate has picked
@@como7423One tricking is completly fine its people who counter pick and play meta that hold the game hostage
Think we found the future rank 1 Marvel Rival's player. as Hulk says, "It's like I've been preparing for this game my whole life by playing Overwatch"
That Luna Snow character looks nuts with that mobile zen ult ability, I wanna play as Magik once it’s available to the public

the beginning is sick already😂😂
This game is genuinely so fun I hope it’s as fun or more when it releases
Best vid in ages
Its crazy because everyone wants in and the ones playing are having such a good time yet in the end it all comes to a close in just a few days... :(
Hopefully the game's devs give more love than Overwatch's money grabbing devs have recently.

It's Marvel property lol. They're also cash grabbers. Just depends who's smarter in implementing their monetization models.

You have a super 4080, but you can't fucking record gameplay in normal bitrate and 60 fps.

3td person is needed more for this game cuz of the amount of skins they can have. Also watch cuz of streamer not cuz of game they playing.

Kinda bold to say "NOBODY." I like 3rd person! 🤓
Can't wait for it. Alpha test has been a lot of fun. :D
